Wendy was awesome . I just loved her music and attitude . Just like her song says , Legends never die . She lives on through her recordings and videos still today , as well as through the hearts and memories of her fans ..
That was a fabulous interview! Amanda Reddington was terrific as she seemed in awe of Wendy and a true fan, unlike other annoying interviewees who couldn't get past the shock value. Loved it, thanks! Long Live Wendy O. xox
she wasnt just shock rocker her music actually is great...not just loud and obnoxious really has substance....wish i had discovered it early in life and been able to meet wendy
Many ppl don’t know she worked at an animal (wildlife) rehab toward end of her life . And believe she was a vegan. She n I corresponded n she sent me postcards . I couldn’t believe she really answered fan mail and wrote me letters
At the Time the Plasmatics came around Rock needed a shot in the arm and Wendy and the boy's did the job quite well to say the least. They say that the brightest candles burn out the fastest and that saying fit her to a tee. She was way to compassionate inside to be in the business she was in, and it ate her alive. She will always be missed by me.
Farley Boy I don't think the biz ate her alive. She left it years before. She couldn't relate to the ways of the world. She was far away from the biz when she killed herself. Sad for me that she couldn't find her own way and have it replenish her.

One of music history's best. Thanks for the upload. I grew up listening to Wendy and company. Always been great. Will always be missed, but cherished, admired, revisited via TH-cam.
I will never forget listening to a cassette of The Plasmatics called Maggots (while tripping balls on acid) for hours. She was one heavy chick.Truly one of a kind........
rest in peace classy girlie you were the first extreme punk metal performer ever shock rock is a weak word talking of wendy orlean williams !!! won' t forget your talent
Rod Swenson, her boyfriend/manager lost his fucking mind by switching her genre from punk to heavy metal. She lost her following and failed to be accepted by the metal crowd. Ultimately that's what led to her suicide, but of course they aren't going to talk about that openly. She was in a deep depression because metal fans were booing her off stage. Really dumb move.
Mr. Planx I agree 100 percent. Swenson fucked up on a lot of levels. Getting rid of Richie who wrote 80 percent of the music was plain stupid! Working with Gene Simmons was another killer move. The "Kommander of Kaos" then the Plasmatics record "Maggots" were great. Michael Ray was the only other guitarist that shredded enough, I saw him on the Maggots part 1 tour and he was amazing. But after he left and Wendy put katrina Astrin in the band things hit the shitter. The "ultrafly" rap LP was the final nail in the coffin!! It was sad how Wendy's career ended!
In the 80's I remember being kind of offended by Wendy for acting insane and totally outrageous on stage and vids, I thought she definitely escaped from the psychic ward, yet at the same time I used to be intrigued by her, here in this interview - Oh gosh how I miss those 80's metal interviews - she looks really nice and surprisingly totally in control.......too bad she committed suicide....
@@inthecards7535 I know this is going to shock some people but commiting suicide takes a lot of balls. You have to fight with you natural instinct to survive and and I think that it's not easy.
Ownd??? How about before criticising the dead you at least learn how to put together a sentence which doesnt resemble something that a six year old has written. Have some respect.
Wendy was the best rocknroll woman ever .....underated by ignorants ....aclaimed by true fans....she made rock history....NO DOUBT ABOUT IT:

Yeah, a lovely, decent moral human being. A great artist and gorgeous woman.

I really enjoyed watching her music videos in the late 80s.
The coolest lady in Rockn`roll ever. I love her dark smoky voice. I love her music. The Plasmatics. Punk. Simple but just fun.
the interviewer really likes her...knees pointed towards her, leaning in...
Solid switched on woman of rock and pure metal.loved her progression.happy that she jammed with Lemmy ❤️💪🏼

I don't see it. Especially given how her death occurred a decade after she was done with music.
wonder why she ended her life?
Depression. Being alone suffering from depression is very dangerous as we all know now.
