Hey Sandro it's great to see after 5 years you are still so passionate about your trade. You skill set goes beyond detailing i.e. includes presenting / presentation. Well done. Keep going
I've been using Pinnacle Signature Wax for quite a while, I know there are probably plenty of products that give higher gloss and easier to apply. I do find for me it's more about the whole process of applying then polishing and then looking at to finished product, I just find it more relaxing. Thanks for this excellent look and breakdown of these waxes.
great review of premium wax ! there is still a niche for people who love the look and feel of paste wax, and enjoy the experience, at all pricing levels... and thats great!

Good comparison Sandro. That Scholl Wax on the black panel really stood out. I noticed the darkness and shine even before you started talking about how much better it looked compared to the others. I am one of the few left that still likes the look of a wax on my paint and enjoy waxing my car. I have always liked the P21S. Been using that for years. So easy to apply and remove and great gloss. Durability isn't great, but that's OK because it's so easy to apply and remove, just do it once a month and you are good to go.
I think you’d be surprised how much company you have with your use and love of waxes! Traditional waxes just aren’t anything new so it’s harder to push them as innovative, latest and greatest things. But there’s a reason they’re still around and actually still the most popular form of paint protection world wide by the general population - they’re usually very affordable, easy to use, widely available and look and feel great!
Man your videos are top notch! Not just the quality but the content. Love these head on type videos! I have two vehicles and my older one with the not so perfect paint gets waxed still. I never tired P21 but will have to give it a shot.
I bought some Swissvax wax a while back (12 months ago approximately) and I just never gelled with it. I found it hard to wipe off and it didn’t last any decent length of time. It was pretty much dead after 4 weeks. This was probably my error each time I used it. I prepped my panels and waited for it to haze but just couldn’t get a “good” user experience out of it. Compared to my old pot of dodo juice hard candy which I got at a fraction of the price, it wipes the floor with it everytime. I suppose that’s what makes the detailing world great! Everyone has their own wee favourites and go to’s with any products. Not just waxes! Awesome video as always Sandro! I’m a big fan of the wax comparisons. So interesting!
That’s for sharing your experience and thoughts there mate and that’s completely right - there’s lots of different options, variations and experiences with almost all Detailing products!

Sonax BSD is a great alternative and my winter go-to topper for FC. I get top of the shelf, coating-like water behaviour that lasts 12 months+ without the coating hassle.
Great review Sandro. In my humble opinion, all of these waxes are for enthusiast clientele that want to spend it. I do enjoy a special depth that waxes can bring to a paint finish. But I'm not going to buy any of it because my vehicle's can look stunning with a $30 paint sealant that lasts far longer. If that is what the clientele wants, it should be made available to them...

Interesting look back at Nuba waxes. It’s been a while for me too haha. However to get technical aren’t Scholl Vintage and Swissvax shield more hybrid waxes? Really glad you enjoyed the video mate! You may be right about a bit of hybrid or synthetic influences in those waxes but I always also thought Souveran wax did as well due to it’s almost instant bonding to the paint but it’s actually quite hard to define “hybrid” as it seems to change and mean more SiO2 or graphene influxes these days, so maybe it would have been better to say old school lol. There’s been quite a few nominations for Zymol waxes so I’ll try and include one in the next wax comparison!
Great video as always. I would love to see Dodo juice wax. I use to use them and did enjoy them. Would be great to see a comparison to the scholls and Swiss wax. Again awesome job mate.
Love your work, Sando. I even watch some of the videos multiple times, as they are so enjoyable. But this one in particular is a double-edge blade. How about a lineup of Collinite no.915, Soft 99 Kiwami, Bilt-Hamber Finis wax and Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba?

Turtle wax SEAL And SHINE is an amazing product which makes traditional paste waxes outdated. However if you want to save money and use a traditional wax then it's Collinite liquid and paste.
Give me a spray sealant any time, fraction of the cost , great gloss ,couldn’t be easier to apply, really slick your microfibre just glides and you could argue more durability but I spray mine on once a week takes so little time and so little product so I figure why not 😂
Would of been nice to see a control wax or cheaper wax it being tested against. Such as auto glym uhd wax, the new turtle wax ceramic graphene paste wax or even one of the meguiars paste waxes?
Hi There Professor ! It Would Be Great To See What Meguiar’s, Mothers, Chemical Guys and Turtle Paste Waxes Have To Offer As Well As The Ones You’ve Presented. That’s Because, Out of Australia, These Brands Are More Commonly Available For Sale. Many Thanks ! Best Regards ! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Did you heard about tonyin ceramic crystal wax? From my experience, its quite good. Its cheap, long lasting, and gives a very nice depth to my black metallic paint, would love to hear your opinion about it!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing here in Spain it costs like 25€, and i liked the performance it gets. You could try and compare to others in the same price range
I’ve been quite happy with PS21. Some suggestions: Waxaddict any of their range, Bilt Hamber double speed wax, Collinite 845 and 915, Dodo Juice too many to choose from..
Y'all may laugh...Simonize Paste. Yep - 100 year old formula Simonize. Fantastic shine and durability. Despite it's difficult to use reputation, follow directions and you'll be more than pleasantly surprised.
Sandro, Came back to offer another idea that I think a lot of fans would appreciate and benefit from. Use case- “I like waxes and don’t like coatings. Waxes don’t last. I’m fine with sealants. I don’t know what order or combination works when applying that gives me shine and duration.” For example- I’ve used FK1000P on a few cars for the last month. Looks understated and elegant, and has amazing resistance…but it just doesn’t have that mirror-like pop. Can you think about this problem set and offer some proven combinations/pairings/techniques you’ve learned over the years? Thanks again for the great content.
Great suggestions mate, and I agree that there’s quite a few people who would prepare such a combination compared to a coating so I’ll definitely add that potential video to the list!
i went with your wax suggestion recently (poorboys). applied just once so cant say too much about it yet. i like it and/but i'm in for more to fill up/renew my stash. koch chemie handwax, collinite 915, vonixx blend or native, s99 authentic, infinity wax primo, gyeon wax. not sure if any make the traditional wax category of this segment. i'm no religious purist in first place and aint planning to become one and know too less about it to categoize them anyways. basically i'm only in for the looks mainly and a lil bit how it looks when it ages on the paint and how quick the look deteriorate when that happens. generally i dont care about hydrophobics at all. if it rains, it gets dirty, if its dirty, i wash. i dont get the tight beads point as quality criterium as it is today at all - generally about any product not only waxes. that being said, fixation on beads are for me the most stupid internet thing about car care there is - imho. if one makes the cut, i'm happy, if not, i'll watch redardless and still be happy. greetings mate. good luck
update: went with the gyeon wax and looking further for kc or some vonixx i think. i'll add one more this season. didnt have time to apply yet, but weekends maybe. whats odd is, its made in taiwan. all other gyeon products i got which are not too many are made in south korea - i checked. the applicator that was in this pack is horribly horribly finished. the cut is almost as precise as it was made from a drunken sailor with a freaking chainsaw at high seas. its obv massively exaggerated saying that, but the finish is just horrible and plain and simple ugly and putting unnecessary weight around the neck of the wax pack. the towel is usable, i wont use it for buffing, its nothing special but not bad quality. minor points of critique but rn its underwhelming overall without me even using the actual product. i fkn hate that feeling. tststs.
Thanks Sandro, I ceramic coat everything but I do love the look of a good wax. Would you use any of these waxes as a topper to any ceramic coat just to get that wet look ?
I wouldn’t tend to use them on a coated customers car, but I’ve certainly used them on my own cars over coatings. As long as you appreciate and accept that these waxes aren’t going to mimic a coatings performance it’s fine to use them in that case.
Hhhhmmm. . .May not huh? So theres still a chance lol. . Carnuaba wax raw pretty much loves anything, synthetic or not idk if bonding would be an issue.
@Car craft auto detailing I love these comparison videos. Id like to see how the Crystal Block - Synergized Wax stacks up and what you think of this, Id say its a mid range price type wax, So id be interested to see how it stacks up against the other brands.
The saturation levels and slickness of the Scholl's look very similar to the NXT Tech Wax 2.0 you reviewed in the past, can you comment on the similarities/differences of the two?. The pinnacle sovereign was very disappointing considering the altar which has been built for it.
It’s hard to compare them with doing a direct comparison, but I would agree that the Scholl wax did have some more sealant qualities found in NXT Tech wax and they could very well be quite competitive in many areas!
Sandro, I’m curious to know if you can get Bilt-Hamber products in Australia. They are a UK brand that have great products but also great value. I wonder how this and other high value waxes would stack up against the winner of this test? This vid must have taken ages to put together. Thanks and if anyone one else is reading this, buy the guy a coffee!!!
There is now a reputable place that sells a couple of Bilt Hamber products but they don’t have any of their waxes. I did see it on another Australian website but it’s not a secure site and looks a bit doggy. eBay has some as well but the shipping is twice the price of the wax. Maybe I’ll bite the bullet and get double speed wax to try out, sounds like pretty good wax. Thanks mate, really appreciate it!
Great video. I have used a spray on wax on my car prior to using SiO2 spray sealants. What I had noticed is the wax provided a deeper colour gloss than the spray sealants I have used. Spray sealants are more convenient, but in your opinion, do you think waxes bring out a deeper colour from the paint? I have a Lapiz Blue Golf R and I'm thinking of stripping all the protestants and starting again. Just wondered what you thought? Also thinking of going down the ceramic coating path aswell.
I don’t think it’s as clear cut as waxes vs sealants or even coatings in that area. In my experience it’s a very specific products thing, some waxes will be better and worse than sealants and vice versa. It’s also very misleading these days as what a “wax” or “sealant” really is - it’s almost like if you make a synthetic sealant into a paste form or cream it’s now okay to call it a wax even through it may have very little or no natural wax in it at all. So I guess what I would say it that it’s better to just judge products on their results rather than what the manufacturer decides to call them and I think waxes can look better or worse than sealant - it just depends on the product.
Would like to see Pete's 53 to be fair.. it's the easiest wax I've found on application and buff for the cash not the longest lasting.. but short term hydrophobics are also up there from my experience
Hey sandro, would you recommend applying a wax to a car with a ceramic coating installed? Love your videos by the way!! You have inspired me to start my own detailing bussines and aim to become one of the best here in USA, CA.
That’s really great to hear mate and wishing you the best of luck! You can and I have put waxes over ceramic coatings, but you just have to accept that it not going mimic the advanced self cleaning and water behaviour of a coating - in which case an SiO2 spray sealants may do better there. But if you’re not too fussed about that you can certainly use a wax.
Hi Sandro, great video again mate. Can I ask how would you rate the Scholl Vintage against the NV Lustre? I'm currently using Lustre but would like to have a deeper black look to my car. Thank you.
I think if darkening and depth are your main priorities, Vintage could potentially be a slight step up but I honestly haven’t done a direct comparison so I can’t say for sure. I can say they both look fantastic and I’d tend to think that layering them should really get you there if one or the other doesn’t on its own.
I have tried P21S, Sovereign, Dodo, etc.. And could not tell the difference, nor did they last that long. I'm sticking with Adam's or 303 synthetic coatings now.
+1 for having a hard time enjoying a wax comparison without Soft 99 Fusso Coat. It just seems to be on another level from all others in testing (as far as durability at least).
It’s really not a wax, Fusso Coat is a pure synthetic sealant in a paste foam, but Fusso does make other waxes which could be great to compare in a wax test!
Is that just a black acrylic panel you use to see what enhances gloss the most? I'm looking for a test panel and the black acrylic looks really smart, but I'm just curious if it simulates a clear coated surface accurately
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing wow, thats awesome! Thank you. I'm on the hunt for a spray sealant that lasts 3+ months, is economical (sold in the gallon) and fills very well. Technicians Choice Ceramic Spray is a popular item right now but no one does the gloss enhancement comparisons like you
Excellent review, I much appreciate the details and thoroughness. My routine is to use the Wolfgang sealant followed by Collinite 845 which produces amazing results with minimal expense. Not sure the extra expense of the products in this review is enough to change my routine, but maybe worth a try at some point.

Turtle wax SEAL And SHINE is an amazing product which makes traditional paste waxes outdated. However if you want to save money and use a traditional wax then it's Collinite liquid and paste.
Even S&S contains Carnuba.
Hi Sandro ,
Sonax Spray and Seal Vs Gyeon Wet Coat 👍
Would like to know your impressions of turtle wax ceramic and graphene paste wax.
I’ve unfortunately not tried the paste forms of those waxes but I happy to give them a go if there’s a bit of interest there!
Have used it and found it to give fabulous results - especially for the flat red paint on my GTI.
Turtle wax products are superb
@@rouman7 at the end of the day, bang for the buck, it is a brand that has longevity and is tried and true.
Can you do a comparison between swissvax and the others to say the Beaut beads by Bowdens?
New Gyeon Q2 Wax kinda nice, use it now and it quite good, but it has bad durability if u use prewashes, especially high PH ones
Yes, I haven’t tried it but I know it’s quite hard to make a “ceramic” or “graphene” wax that has the durability you’d expect from those ingredients.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Yep exactly, expect better from Gyeon, but still it has awesome look :>
Give me a spray sealant any time, fraction of the cost , great gloss ,couldn’t be easier to apply, really slick your microfibre just glides and you could argue more durability but I spray mine on once a week takes so little time and so little product so I figure why not 😂
Yes that’s the great thing about spray sealants and where the paint protection has advanced!
Superior Products Formula 4
Would of been nice to see a control wax or cheaper wax it being tested against. Such as auto glym uhd wax, the new turtle wax ceramic graphene paste wax or even one of the meguiars paste waxes?
Hi There Professor !
It Would Be Great To See What
Meguiar’s, Mothers, Chemical Guys and Turtle Paste Waxes
Have To Offer As Well As The Ones You’ve Presented.
That’s Because, Out of Australia, These Brands Are More Commonly Available For Sale.
Many Thanks !
Best Regards !
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Appreciate the comment mate, and I agree it might be nice to put some waxes from each of these popular brands up against each other!
Did you heard about tonyin ceramic crystal wax? From my experience, its quite good. Its cheap, long lasting, and gives a very nice depth to my black metallic paint, would love to hear your opinion about it!
No I haven’t, but if it’s quite affordable, decent to use and performs well it’s sounds great!
Appreciate the suggestions!
Y'all may laugh...Simonize Paste. Yep - 100 year old formula Simonize. Fantastic shine and durability. Despite it's difficult to use reputation, follow directions and you'll be more than pleasantly surprised.
Now I have to wonder how these compare to off the shelf brands like Turtle and Meguiars.
They compare favorably
Sandro,
Came back to offer another idea that I think a lot of fans would appreciate and benefit from.
Use case- “I like waxes and don’t like coatings. Waxes don’t last. I’m fine with sealants. I don’t know what order or combination works when applying that gives me shine and duration.”
For example- I’ve used FK1000P on a few cars for the last month. Looks understated and elegant, and has amazing resistance…but it just doesn’t have that mirror-like pop.
Can you think about this problem set and offer some proven combinations/pairings/techniques you’ve learned over the years?
Thanks again for the great content.
Great suggestions mate, and I agree that there’s quite a few people who would prepare such a combination compared to a coating so I’ll definitely add that potential video to the list!
i went with your wax suggestion recently (poorboys). applied just once so cant say too much about it yet. i like it and/but i'm in for more to fill up/renew my stash.
koch chemie handwax, collinite 915, vonixx blend or native, s99 authentic, infinity wax primo, gyeon wax.
not sure if any make the traditional wax category of this segment. i'm no religious purist in first place and aint planning to become one and know too less about it to categoize them anyways. basically i'm only in for the looks mainly and a lil bit how it looks when it ages on the paint and how quick the look deteriorate when that happens. generally i dont care about hydrophobics at all. if it rains, it gets dirty, if its dirty, i wash. i dont get the tight beads point as quality criterium as it is today at all - generally about any product not only waxes. that being said, fixation on beads are for me the most stupid internet thing about car care there is - imho.
if one makes the cut, i'm happy, if not, i'll watch redardless and still be happy. greetings mate. good luck
Are you from Brazil?
@@guilhermecavalcantevieira5730 nope. austria
update: went with the gyeon wax and looking further for kc or some vonixx i think. i'll add one more this season. didnt have time to apply yet, but weekends maybe.
whats odd is, its made in taiwan. all other gyeon products i got which are not too many are made in south korea - i checked. the applicator that was in this pack is horribly horribly finished. the cut is almost as precise as it was made from a drunken sailor with a freaking chainsaw at high seas. its obv massively exaggerated saying that, but the finish is just horrible and plain and simple ugly and putting unnecessary weight around the neck of the wax pack. the towel is usable, i wont use it for buffing, its nothing special but not bad quality.
minor points of critique but rn its underwhelming overall without me even using the actual product. i fkn hate that feeling.
Hey I wonder if wax below ceramic would be better, wax being like lotion on your hands and ceramic being like putting on a latex glove.
The issue with waxing first it that the coating will tend to have bonding issues so it may not last very long.
Hhhhmmm. . .May not huh? So theres still a chance lol. . Carnuaba wax raw pretty much loves anything, synthetic or not idk if bonding would be an issue.
@Car craft auto detailing
I love these comparison videos. Id like to see how the Crystal Block - Synergized Wax stacks up and what you think of this, Id say its a mid range price type wax, So id be interested to see how it stacks up against the other brands.
Great to hear, but I don’t think Synergy wax is available here, honestly don’t know much about it.
Was thinking the same thing….looked very similar to the NXT, which was also standout on the black panel.
I believe Fireball is pretty popular in Australia…have you tried any of their amazing products/coatings?
Yes I’ve tried and actually reviewed a couple of their products on the channel, I believe it was a couple of their sealants.
it seems that SCHOLL manufactures (or manufactured at the time) the products for a famous brand, anyone knows which brand ?
It's pretty decent and in one test, it outlasted some other ones I compared with.
Nice video again! They are not worth it any more if you compare them to sealants and coatings nowdays if you ask me.
I would like to see a video on which wax is the best without the high gloss, plastic look
Angel wax enigma
The user experience with Enigma back in my mobile days put me right off it, unfortunately!
Ca! Where abouts? LA here
Hi Sandro, great video again mate.
It was different in the past, but today a good sealant is almost always going to be more durable if that’s what’s most important!
Put Scholl Concepts against Polish Angel products for a good German showdown of handmade waxes.
I think You need to try test soft99 fuso wax, which oldest tech, but with interesting result’s 😅
Kind of related, but have you had the chance to test the Meguiar's paint sealant that came out not too long ago?
No it hasn’t made it’s way here locally, but I don’t have it on my list.
Which wax give you less haze more clarity by IQ Rhopoint?
I think it was again both P21s and Vintage at the top.
Sandro do you get excitement from applying wax like some of us still do
Absolutely 👍
Just recently found your channel. Looking for good wax to use on my new-to-me car. Would you do a vid comparing a Ceramic coating to a premium wax?
I’ve been wanting to do an updated video comparing different forms of paint protection, it is on my list!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I was looking for reviews on F11 when I found your channel. Now I'm considering either NV Jet or Collinite 845.
Is that just a black acrylic panel you use to see what enhances gloss the most? I'm looking for a test panel and the black acrylic looks really smart, but I'm just curious if it simulates a clear coated surface accurately
No it’s a metal sheet panel that’s been primed, base coated and clear coated just like any car panel 🙂
Using what works best for you is always the way to go! Glad you enjoyed the video!
The Scholl seems not to be available in the USA.
Scholl Vintage which is almost impossible to get in the USA or Meguires Deep Crystall for my 1980 black car paint? Which one gives the better shine?
My car never see's the rain and is garaged.
Deep Crystal is a fantastic car wax - I don’t think it’s quite Scholl Vintage in terms of looks but I still think it looks great.
Please guys, stop talking about Soft99Fusso, that's a PTFE sealant not a carnauba wax.
Thoughts on Dodo Juice?
It’s been a while since I’ve used any Dodo Juice products but I didn’t mind them in the past though my experience with them is limited.
Wolfgang concours Fuzion wax please 😎
You have expensive taste lol!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing yes! It's nice enough. But I still very much like my Poorboy's World waxes
Your thoughts on TW Graphene paste wax (though it only had like .1℅ graphene content😂)
I haven’t tried it yet but I’m going to try a do a video on a few new “graphene” products soon!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing yup "graphene" is the right term!
Hey Sandro, have you tried Samba Wax by Binder or any of the Binder range?
No I haven’t
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Might want to check it out bro as it's used a bit on street and show cars up here in QLD. 👍 Best source to get it is from the boys at Overtaking Lane. They have a TH-cam channel and site. 👍
You missed Zymol Royale..... 😂
I think a zymol wax could be interning to compare.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Bilt Hamber Speed Wax is another good one
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Zymöl Concours is a very, very nice wax. My favourite Zymöl is Atlantique. I recommend the Holiday Sampler 2 !!!
I like Atlantique more than Royale !
P21s is a WOWO. Not supposed to let it haze.
this is according to chemical guys. butter wax melt in car body has carnauba wax to also U.V protection. perhaps Adams car products his butter wax.
the swiss shield wax is t cheap but i saw in the bottle slide test with
Scholl Concepts Premium Vintage Wax this . Scholl wax is very affordable in the bottle slide test was the most slick one not just water beat also dirt beat the slicker also less dirt it slides off
one detailer had an opinion so we all have his was turtle wax is bad product
and just wonder if you have turtle wax around how that would be am happy what i have am going to try order from Germany zaino
coffee do not now do that a good afternoon australia
Chem Guys butter wax is the only one I ever considered throwing away. Ended up giving it away, though. Looks is okay, but lasts like one or two washes
Fusso coat would dominate all of these. I think a fair comparison to these would be zymol glasur glaze.
Fusso Coat is really a sealant, but a zymol wax could be interesting to try and compare.
Zymol Glaser is the most therapeutic product I've ever used.. melting in your hands by rubbing them together then applying it to the paintwork is the whole Patrick Swayze ghoust pottery experience i love it..
The only problem i experienced was it didn't really like our hot weather and would go all hazy out in the sun..
Lol, that’s sound like a very intimate application! I guess you’ll also need the Righteous Brothers playing in the background to do it right!
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Oh man I barfed in my mouth a bit! 😂😂
Surface being slick or not makes no difference. Usually the less slick have a steeper water contact angle
On the garage queen, I love using the sovereign. On daily cars wax isn't worth it.
You left off the most expensive wax at $498, the 2013.
I think Zymol has a few that exceed $800-1500. Can’t recall. I believe Waxmode tested samples in years past and thought they were amazing.
Swissvax crystal rock
My cars are lucky to get washed let alone polished...
BEST WAX CAR IS R222 { P21S } VERY EXPNSIVE ( 175 GRRAM $ USA 38.00 + shipping ) but HIGHS PERCENTAGES
