Take no notice of those that like to criticise. After many years of tinkering with a guitar, I too find this lesson very informative and inspirational.

    • @sergeantdef.3572
      @sergeantdef.3572 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

I think that is impossible..you never can learn more in a you tube video then in a 60 year classic guitar studie.
This is no critic..this is not to insult you.
But with all respect..i think you take it to far now..
What have you studie in that 60 year then?
In 60 year you must be a master player if you studie and practise every Day..
Sorry for my bad english and again...i am not trying to insult or disrespect you sir.
But..this video's of this man are indeed very great to learn playing guitar..he play very very good.
      Greetings. 4:15

    Thanks, Marco!
You've awakened the Classic guitarist in me again!
I started playing Classic guitar over 30 years ago, also played acoustic (steel string) for about 10 years. But then i met my wife (to-be), and while on a weekend trip, i was going to seranade her, but she told me she "wasn't into guitar music." So, i put my guitar away. (I didn't intend to quit, but since i always wanted to spend time with her, i didn't pick it up again.)
30+ years later, i still had music in my head ( much like this) that i wanted to play. When i told her about it, she felt bad that she had caused me to stop playing something that meant so much to me, and encouraged me to start again. But my hands were no longer in shape, and i had no calusses on my fingertips. Plus, now i had nerve impingement in my neck that affected my left (fretting) hand. I couldn't play longer than 1 minute before my hand cramped.
Ultimately i had 3 vertebrae in my neck fused, and even though i could see improvement the next morning, i still didn't have strength to play. I worked hard for another 7 long months, with no improvement.
Then one day i tried again, and to my amazement, i played for almost a full hour. My hand was sore, but it made me thrilled because i could FINALLY see improvement!
I've been playing every day since, gradually getting my hand stronger.
Now it's been almost 2 years since surgery, I've been playing for just over a year.
But I've come so far! Maybe farther than i did in the previous 10 years when i played before, because now I've learned theory and so much more from having YT videos to learn from.
I'm playing a lot more advanced than i did earlier in life. But i haven't made as much progress in Classic guitar, as I've been mostly playing acoustic guitar music.
    Now, my point:
After seeing this video, you've awakened the Classical guitarist in me again! I started playing just what you taught in this video, but now i can play all kinds of things, where i make it up as i go. As you pointed out, it can be played on any type of guitar. (But it sounds really great on the nylon strings.)
Now my wife loves to listen to me! (And i love playing it!)
    So, again, thank you!
I think I'll start playing "mood music" or "background music" for events.
(Sorry for the long story, but it was necessary to show how important it was to me.) 👍 👌

Try playing a 12 string. They are easier to play, easier to finger pick and on the fret board. No painful callouses!

Marco, this is a very fundamental and precious study for the circle of fifths with the 135 triad chord structure open closed positions melodic progression and varying arpeggios.. much fun and yes it opens the mind to creativity .. I once practiced this exercise decades ago somewhere but really liked reviewing this one.. I would highly recommend this and yes it's going to be fun watching your other lessons.. ty kind sir and peace be with you too!

Hi Marco, I love this progression and how you explain the theory behind it. I've never studied music theory but it's something I want to start after watching your videos. One thing that I want to ask is, why you don't use a bar when the chords are on the same fret? Is it because of the difference in sound it would make? I love the way you simplify these beautiful phrases by the way.
