    It's one of the most understated, yet accessible, forms of guitar, so many people miss out because they misunderstand the simple beauty of the guitar from Spain, which just happened to be invented there, so figures they may know a thing or two. Beautiful lesson exquisitely presented, thanks so much for your generosity in sharing!

      Would you please break down Piero Umiliani's Crepuscolo Sul Mare. It is a beautiful song but everyone else just wants to show off that they can play it but not help others learn how. I enjoy the way you break things down and help people enjoy their instrument more. Thank you for the time that you put in for us.

    I wanted to say Marco, this lesson is priceless, and then I thought, this lesson is surely the key to me unlocking several Spanish techniques and moving on from the doldrums. It’s gold dust. Thank you for giving your time free.

    I was in the country side of Cataluna this summer, with family and friends. A lovely place with cypres, pins and olive trees. Wanted to relax, far away from work, screens and city. I didn’t take any guitare with me. At some stage i finally checked my phone and saw this new video. It was a sign : i realised that i needed quickly to find a guitare. I took my car and drove to the only guitar shop I found. I bought a lovely Admira classical Guitar. Every night, i was playing passionately spanish guitar based on your lesson. Loved the vibes in this fabulous area of spain. My son and daughter were listening, and they now both want to learn guitar. Who knows, maybe next year i’ll have a fabulous rumba catalana trio to play with ;)
    Once again Marco, thank you so much for all the inspiration you create !

    I love this. I've not been playing that long but even I can make this sound like I know what I'm doing - especially the version where you pedal the e. What's nice is that even I can mess around with it. Instead of 5, 4, 3, 2 with 1 in between. You can do 5, 2, 3, 4 or 5, 2, 2, 2 or anything else and it just changes the melody to add some variation.

    at time 01:18, there's a common mistake. It's actually not i, vii, vi, v(maj). The real progression is moving towards resolution on the i, which is the E major. Phrygian dominant mode of the harmonic minor scale. So it's iv, iii, ii, i.

      Dude all that complicated theory doesn’t really matter

    • @rickf6375
      @rickf6375 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@misterd.2250 1. it's not complicated, at all. it's merely a way of describing what's going on. 2. it DOES matter, and not applying it will hinder your abilities as a musician.
      Music theory CAN get complicated, but what we're talking about here really is the most basic, most essential stuff there is.

    • @rickf6375
      @rickf6375 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mostly agree and yet it's not so much a mistake as it is merely a different way of expressing the same thing, albeit less clear/common.

    • @misterd.2250
      @misterd.2250 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rickf6375 to each his own, I completely understand what he’s saying here but this isn’t a comment discussing the actual sound(distance of intervals). It’s a comment trying to figure out a way to write out this sequence with a different perceived tonic, which is a irrelevant and a complete headache. However knowing the Roman numerals, minor/major, and notes in a scale are useful so agree with you there.
