Axial comes out with the all new Axial Ryft KIT version. This build-it-yourself edition of the Ryft 1/10th scale rock racer comes with a few upgrades and the best part is, you get to assemble it yourself! In this video I take you through what you find in the box, and what items are required to finish assembly. The size of this vehicle is amazing, and all the engineering choices to make things work yet have it still looking scale are admirable. Next video, we will paint it up!

Prachtig helder verhaal, met name voor een beginner! Thumbs-Up. Je verdient je Silver Button, wat mij betreft. Aangaande de tandwiel herrie. Het eigenaardige is dat de Ryft verbazingwekkend stil is alstie eenmaal op gang is, helemaal vergeleken met een SMT10 met all-steel gears.

It will be cool to see you hit 100k. The Ryft is pretty much the kind of RC a buddy of mine wanted when he first got into RC a few years ago. I thought I saw a post from Matt with the SBG dyeing his cage.

I bought this kit a few months back and I have not put anything together yet, I will be checking to see if I have the newer axles and also before I do put it together I will check on the internet for what other issues there have been if the dips need to be shamed somehow or or whatever it may be I like your video thumbs up

I was debating between the Ryft or the LMT, the LMT came home with me and its just a badass rig. I also got a v2.

Don’t do it. They are super weak. I’ve had one for 6 weeks and 4 of those weeks I had to wait for parts. Shocks bend easily. Front axel snaps easy. Super bad body roll. Uncontrollable after 15 mph. Link ends snap constantly. Don’t waist your money

Nearly got one when I was looking for a Rock Racer style rig. Went with the Bomber and am very happy with it. I find this to be very similar to the Bomber platform. Nice to see the Sway bars in there. They need it for sure. Great over view man. That cage looks as tedious as a Bead Lock Rim with all those screws. LMAO Thumbs up
Hahaha! It was a bit of work to assemble, but nothing compared to the Gatekeeper cage. So much hardware in that one!

The kit comes with some extra hop-up parts it comes with the two speed transmission does aluminum side plates on the trailing arms the sway bar I think there's a couple other things because I know the ready to run does not come with those
This vehicle has prob sold most this winter. Ergo low temperatures combined with plastics. Reminds me of my yeti xl. Might have to get this also.
You could definitely be on to something there, I think for the LMT winter was also a factor that came into play with axles snapping.
Nice! Glad to see you have already got your hand on the kit version. So glad to see Axial has included the trailing arm aluminium side plates with the kit, and they have also included the sway bar. Really wish Axial have included these two items in the RTR version as they are most needed for a 4s rock bouncer. Nice video my friend! Very good introduction to the RYFT in kit form. Can't wait to see you adding the electronics to it. You planning to paint the cage to a different colour?
I actually really dig that light gray, I think it will go well with the paint I have in mind. Totally agreed on the side plates, I always like the look of those!

Hey Chris, first off congrats on reaching almost a 100k subs! 2nd the ryft is the hot new RC to have and since you announced almost reaching a 100k subs why not give this ryft away with the Chris/Hemistorm custom touch? Might be a cool thing to do 🤙🏻

Rich (rc driver) said it comes with the new axle molding and plastics. The guy on Exocage got 25 mph in low gear and 45+ in hi speed.
He's incorrect. The kit comes with the newer plastics but not the updated mold. At least, these didn't.
Matt is correct about Richard McGreg being incorrect. The updated axle is as I show on the slide at some point in the video.

Awesome as always, what’s the plastics like? some of the previous stuff has been a tad soft causing the screws to strip the plastic out when tightening.
Definitely felt more sturdy, none of the liquorice type of flexibility going on. I guess running it will reveal if that is a good thing!
can you put monster truck tires and wheels on the Ryft? like jconcept tires and tribute wheels?

It should, but adjust your pinion according to what kV motor you choose to run. Have fun!

It's a 3200 kv ..I think the ryft comes with a 13 t maybe a 11t?

When Horizon Hobbies first released the RYFT on the web site was off white or gray parts listed but buy the next day they were removed ..in short not suprised by the builders kit ....
It was a given that it was being developed, I love building my own vehicles so it’s very nice to see it out.
Someone released the kit manual before the RTR then retracted. It's old news but took forever!
@@hemistormrc Me too I always end up with a Castle system and the release of the Copperhead and 3200kv motor sounded like a fit to me

They say the cage is dyeable, any thoughts on trying that?
Pretty sure I saw a post from SBG Matt with his cage in a pot getting dyed on instagram earlier today.
It is, Matt at SBG dyed his and it came out sweet! I have plans for the grey.
I know I used to do that with some of my pieces years ago but a lot of the parts were made of like a nylon so you can tie them in boiling water with clothing dye and it made the nylon better
i think if you do a giveaway a custom painted body by you would be awesome

I think that all the benefits of having fresh products regularly outweigh these couple parts breaking. With the LMT too, they’ve been great in honoring warranty claims. Don’t let it discourage you and look at the bright side. Have fun! 😃👍🏼

I own a rbx10 ryft and they suck. Super bad body roll. The link ends break consistently. The front axel is weak! Had to wait a month for a replacement. Shocks bend with ease. If you don’t mind dumping money into rc cars then this car is for you!
