Bonus stuff: #1: You can recruit Liches in Pirate's Graveyard, something of Misery is the stage where they can appear, and those can recruit Gremlins. #2: I have a Gremlin but haven't really used it yet. As for its abilities: Agonal Scream (3 aoe around it, Dark Damage + a chance to Frighten), Coquettish Kiss (melee dark damage, chance to poison), Lingering Kiss (melee dark damage, absorbs HP and reset the RT of a unit), and Selfless Kiss (melee, chance to Stun/Silence/Petrify). I haven't really tried using it yet, but it feels like something that should hover around the back lines until its time to lock down a unit that appears. #3: Pumpkins can take on the Familiar class, but are classified as Golems technically, and need to be recruited by a Warlock. This means that, the Warlock's Empower Golem ability also works on Pumpkins. This creates a unique situation where you can make a Pumpkin a Berserker, buff it with Empower Golem, and then double buff it with Berserk (which has its own innate damage boost) + their attack bonus ability, and Pumpkins can deal Terrible Terrible Damage to everything it hits.
Replying to myself because trying out my Gremlin. Their abilities actually have a range of 2 outside them, so just outside melee range, Lingering Kiss's effect always goes off if it hits, Selfless Kiss has a real high chance to hit and always resets. Selfless Kiss seems to always Petrify only from my Chariot use on it. So, Gremlins as a shut-down unit, especially if you're trying to focus soemone down. Not sure if this works on bosses or not.
Didn't see timestamps in another comment so here they are 1:09 Vartan 3:05 Hoplite 4:45 Juggernaut 6:45 Patriarchs/Matriarchs 8:22 Familiars 13:10 Dragons 16:04 Gryphons 16:45 Cockatrice 17:30 Octopi 18:35 Cyclops 20:25 Golems Thanks for the great overview!
Juggernaut with cloud shoes is really nice for getting behind enemy lines and one shotting casters after archers silence them because of the movement boost
The imps/gremlins gain 'agonal scream', which does the same as the AOE 'lament of the dead' from the terror knights. It's not an auto skill though, you activate it for 35 MP. It's a solid play for that alone.
Again Rocked it with nice infos. I don't know if you have already a similar video explaining the crafting materials, from who you get them and how (kill or auction). After auction of Golems and Cyclops you can buy Cristalos to craft elemental cristals for higher weapons. Bones, feathers, horns, claws, etc they all come from beasts and dragons, but I am afraid if I abuse the number of kills, then the loyalty rate of unknown faction units will risk them to leave my army or make recruiting imposible. Big thank you Titanium and keep it up. I really love this game, it's so amazing long but ebjoyable.
The pumpkinheads are classified as golems, so you can golemsbane when fighting them or empower golem when using them, which can be incredibly powerful with both their berserker (berserk+sanguine assault+empower golem) and familiar (sparagmos) classes. With all the talk about dragon scale and Gordian Lock, I'm surprised you didn't point out that the juggernaut's intimidate removes those, too. Every time I see a ton of dragons, sure, I toss out the dragoon. But I also send out a juggernaut to AoE strip those defensive buffs away, too. Gremlins are arguably the most powerful familiar. The same way fairy kiss gives someone an immediate turn, gremlin kiss does the opposite, making the enemy skip their upcoming turn and go to the back of the line again. I haven't tried it out on bosses yet. Something that surprised me was the variety of 'human' classes that orcs, lizardmen, and lamia can use. I assumed they were all the same, then I saw a bunch of orc rune fencers and terror knights. So I assumed lamia and lizardmen were two genders of the same race, and got hit with an army of lamia archers sniping me and lamia witches empowering an army of golems. Oh! My last beast tip is that blood siphon's heal works for zombie gryphons, too. You can send in a zombie gryphon to create pure chaos, and because they're so mobile, they can usually grab physical cards, crit cards, and pick out a squishy caster or a marshmallow ghost and blood siphon to heal up 400+ health. I've come to think of 'gryphon' as a passive aura that deals 200 damage to all archers in battle, since if you put a gryphon where they can hit it, they'll target the gryphon... who tosses back a boulder. While I'm sad gryphons can't evolve into their forms from the other games, it's interesting how Reborn handles it. The previous game had gryphons evolve into cockatrice, which are their own monster. And the sequel to Reborn had gryphons evolve into opinici, who can use large AoE wind spells. Well, now as gryphons get stronger, they get access to everything an opinicus could use. Anyways, good video =]
Yes, pumpkin zerker with empower golem is hilarious, I love it. Good to know about Gremlins, it's been such a pain trying to get one in PoTD, I might have to wait and go to the wildwood. You can easily make a full orc/lizard/lamia team for sure, only thing they're missing is big cleric heals. I haven't used any zombie beasts or dragons yet, I'm excited to try them tho and see how they work. Thanks for the in-depth comment tho, this was a lot of good info! :D
Also of note, I think Evade will shrug off item effects(like healing items!) and Nullify will shrug off heal spells. So Evade is a big gamble if, like most players, you use heal items. Nullify may not bother you if you don't really use heal spells. Ivory Tower is the only ignore-type ability that won't run the risk of messing up any heals. Edit: comma placement
I recruited a wingman archer and a wingman mage very glad i picked up reborn on black friday sale its my very first time playing the game not sure which route im on kinda glad i unlocked tge lizardman stage with the ninja first time you see ninjas in story battles he has been a very strong warrior i really want lamias but cant find those yet
just for you to know, that i came here to see where the game goes. the only game that i ever played from Ogre series was its ps1 version. so many changes inside even though the game still use the same sprites. back in the day, skills can only be obtained by humans in Hell Gate. sigh... seeing this makes me jealous. hope i can afford the console and game. man, those new classes are nutty! i mean look at those Lizardman sub-classes for example! just amazing! 😣😣😣
Watched the Ogre tactics reborn. Now playing Let us cling together for the first time and i'm kinda confused since i got a little used to the reborn gameplay.
One of the minor things that annoys me is that the demi-humans don't get any sprites for each of their classes, particularly Winged folk. For me its an issue because on maps with significant vertical obstructions i will run half of my squad as a balanced group of winged. Usually canopus, a second vartan, a warrior, rune fencer, wizard and if i have room and need it, a cleric or lobbing beastman for mobile healing. It would be REALLY nice to be able to tell who's who during those fights without having to click on them.
I've gotta be honest, I've never had one as I've never done San Bronsa. They sound cool, but I don't know much about them. I'm hoping to get to them soonish tho.
I've only ever gotten them as drops, typically in the Phoroampa Wildwood. You should be able to buy them in chapter 4 at Deneb's shop tho, that's where you can buy most unique classmarks.
sadly reborn remove "Basilisk dragon" that have the Evil eye as Gorgon(Matriarch) , which can petrify all units across the screen, unless you have a shield or standing behind a unit/obstacle/Blue or red necklace.. you can get petrified
Negative, you can find them in the Phoroampa Wildwood and some story battles. But you need a Lich to recruit them, so you'll have to wait until the Pirate's Graveyard to start recruiting them (you can recruit a Lich in the Graveyard, so you don't have to wait to get a Ring of the Dead from PotD.)
@@jonkohrr2.06 yup, recruit humans is the way to ago , and many classes can do it. Cleric and Knight are some of the most consistent. If you want to MAKE a Lich, that's where you need a ring of the Dead from the palace of the Dead.

Oh my God I forgot to add the timestamps again. Thank you for these, I'll be adding them to the video. 😅
Quick addition to Juggernaut and Vartan, these both have a rare 5 base move.
Juggernaut with cloud shoes is really nice for getting behind enemy lines and one shotting casters after archers silence them because of the movement boost
Thanks for these, im so annoyed by everyone making a tier list instead of a real introduction
No problem chief! I'm glad that I can provide for ya. :D

Yes, that's a big issue with these abilities, I completely agree.
Another great guide as always!
Appreciate it Fernando! Thank you.
Lamia are me favorite. Matriarch is cool. I kinda wish they had Mermaids, like in the Advanced games..
It would be nice if there was a wider range of cool demi-humans for sure. Matriarchs are great tho for sure.
3:08 Hoplite CAN NOT only done by Lizard Men and Orcs, but also Lamias.
Technically true, but Lamia are just Female lizardfolk
@@TitaniumLegman While you are right they count as a "Reptile" I doubt they are "Female Lizardfolk" implying Lizardmen.
On Toxic Breath, it inflicts Leaden not Poison... although you'd think it'd poison from the name!

Yup yup yup, big agree on this one. It's a shame that TOR didn't introduce some new sprites or at least customization options to help them stand out.
Black Lizard Powder on Cyclops if you want to debuff spawn with some accuracy.
The Cyclops abilities might be a reference to the Odyssey and other myths involving Cyclops and similar beings.
Ah, now THERE's a possibility that I like the idea of.

I would say Buccaneer once you have access to it. A good mix of ranged and melee physical options, speedster and dual wielding are hard to beat.
