He uses a tablet and also recommend it, I use both as I learned with a mouse then bought a Wacom. It's possible. You can do this with just a mouse.

Yeah I use a Wacom tablet. If you just started I would suggest sticking to the mouse and getting the basics right. Then you can get a tablet. Tablets help greatly in finer brush controls and pressure sensitive controls. You can achieve great results in mouse too, but that be a bit difficult and time consuming...

I color grade as I go, like a painting, slowly building up the colors...and even after the final color grading I polish a lot on final details...so it gives me more control without the camera raw

Yeah there are others along with dall-e2, midjourney, stable fusion and others do a pretty sick job! It does look scary, but I think it will be used by artists to generate ideas and speed up the workflow... as for replacing artists, can't argue it won't in some cases.. but still the prompts generate arts from real artists artworks, so in the end a real human mind will be able to think newer concepts... let's see how it goes... only time will tell...
