      Hey FAT AZZ! 😂 Look man, if you make drawings be it photoshop, pen and paper, WHATEVER it is, you're a concept artist.
      Even if you skribble some stuff down and got the point across, that's a CONCEPT. Now when you begin talking about QUALITY and refinement, now you're stepping into the realm of ILLUSTRATION. That's the final poster design, the splash screen etc.
      So if you make doodles, IDEAS, you're a concept artist. Keep up the good work man. 💪❤

      I was horrified to learn how much 3D art isn't hand crafted too when I was learning to 3D model. Look at Daz studio, it just churns out models for you and it is an industry standard application for concept art and beyond. And then there's SpeedTrees, everyone's "Cheating" to a degree, it's half the point of digital art over traditional art. Speed and efficiency.
      If the end result is amazing no-one cares how you got there, all that matters is you can prove you can create magic. My teacher worked for HUGE AAA companies and he photobashes and daz studios 90% of his work.

    I attend the accademy of fine arts and I have some professors who would use the word cheating to describe the way this work is produced, because in their opinion you have not created anything of your own and therefore it would only be a copy from other parts. I don't know how the concept artist's world works so I can't say anything about whether it's wrong or not. Personally, I think the work you've done is wonderful in many ways, like the time saving spent on creating it and the general quality of the work's details. I'd like to know what you think about the cheating topic about these kinds of illustrations.

    • @tinyvikingproductions500
      @tinyvikingproductions500 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I’m also curious about this, But I would bring up the fact that concept art is often done for client work with deadlines. He talks about this in the video as well.

    • @ImadAwan
      @ImadAwan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +89

      Thank you very much for appreciating my work! :)
      About the cheating part, fine arts and concept art are two different fields. Fine artists can create anything they want for the world to see. It's about their personal "expression" and can justify their artwork even if it might seem bizarre to the common man's eye. There are no limitations there!
      Concept artists can't create just anything. They are more like designers who are meant to solve creative problems for films or games. They work under strict constraints and guidelines and bring ideas to life. Their artwork is not the end product, but just a necessary cog in the system to get the things working! So, no matter if they use photos, 3d or forbidden dark magic to conjure up an artwork; as long as it serves the purpose and solve design problems, it's all good and acceptable!
      Hope this helps! :)

    hi, i'm new to digital art world. I have a few questions about what he does to create all of that. Can I claim the rights of the work if I use images without copyright? Can I earn money from my concepts if I use royalty-free images in the concept?
    If imad awan read this: I love your videos

    Hey imad, I love the perspective you bring to beginner art, really makes things easier for me. However, I've known about this technique for a while - what do you think about this for someone's who's starting to get into digital art? I don't think I will go into concept art, I just want to explore art as my passion. The way I see it, using photobashing is a lazy alternative that can kill your will to work on your pieces. That also leads to plagiarism in my opinion because I don't know if I will feel comfortable wanting credit on a work that is basically made up of other's photos just put together and masked and dodged and burned. I don't want to be offensive to anyone, and I understand how people need to cut some corners to work under deadlines, but what would you advise regarding this for a beginner getting into landscape art for their passion more than anything else?

      I see it as cheating... honestly. This isn't "art", this it "being good at photoshop".

      @zaks7 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CreativeGamingDorthea since I've learnt more about art, I've learnt it's more about expression. So long as you're not blatantly copying someone e else's idea, I think it's valid as art.
