Catching halibut from shore? Amazing! You always get your fish. 👍
Yes, thanks!
Great video ! Thanks for all the great stuff you post.
Nicely done Adam!
You guys both are brilliants!
Thanks ed!
Another great vid. I caught a 35 pound halibut off the break water in Cabrillo.
I fish there often, which side of the breakwater do you fish?
That’s insane
Your videos are awesome and very inspiring! Keep slayin em mang!
I might be moving from FL to CA. I need to learn your ways. Informational video.
Nice, great fishing there Adam.
Thanks 👍
I'm totally going to try this for some flounder out on Tybee Island this afternoon. Haven't thought of trying dropshot for them, but should work well.
Awesome video!
Another banger video!
80k 🎉🎉🎉 congrats!! from 🇨🇦
Yay! Thank you!
Youre withholding most important info, its finding location where they run, gives you 98% of success in landing them, Only 2% of skill
Split tail fluke. Nice Matt!
Another nice keeper, Adam! You have spot out there, where they are hangin out!😂
nice tip brotha, good catch
Awesome stuff!
Thanks!
nice catch..
Thank you sooo much love the surf content 🤙🏻🤙🏻😎
Glad you enjoy it! More coming this summer!
Great video
Good job, Adam! Halibut is delicious.❤
It really is!
Few questions? Is there a better time of day for halibut from shore? Early morn or late evening? Is there a better tide? High or low tide? Finally how far are you casting? Im using a 1 oz and a swim bait and casting about 40-60 ft. But the seagrass and waves i figure im only casting into an area of 10-15 ft before its rough due to shore waves. Surf fishing for halibut is not all that easy im finding.
Awesome video! What area are you in?
Nice catches. Adam is the rod & reel set that you caught the big Stripper on . What rod and reel are you using in this video.
nice show bro
Nice catch Adam. Is this baker beach ? Inside the bay been hard lately…
I’m terrible at surf fishing. Something I want to improve on. But I think it’s mostly a matter of finding the holding spots. Thanks for the video!
Just takes practice!
I'm in the same boat as you. Need more time on the beach.
You just had to put up a halibut from shore video.. nice way to twist my arm into trying my luck! Challenge accepted!
So nice
Nice halibut
I'm enjoying surf fishing in Japan👍
my husband and I really want to come down there and catch a few halibut! what time of year is best for bigger ones closer to shore? do you recommend any charters that don't go too far out?
Let’s see a catch and cook!
Nice!!!
Half ounce jig head on bottom with white 6 inch gulp fluke and white fluke jig 12 inches up. Weedless hook. Rite in the drop off of the wash. Look for deeper pockets. I'm assuming they hunt just like summer flounder here in jersey
other side of the beach has a number of species. Can't keep the black sea bass but there incredible fighters on spinning gear and will take a number of plastic lures dropped in their holding zones.
What beach is he fishing at? Any recommendations??
G catch
When is the best time of year when california halibut are in shallow water?
Nice work 🤙. Go hit SC…. It’s wide open 4 hali.
Wait till my next vid...
Wonder if there’s halibut at ocean beach
Would you say the Halibut are between Half Moon Bay and Monterey?
Just trying to learn.
I am going to go to Pacifica for Stripers tomarrow.
Stripers are hot right now
Where in California are you fishing I'm from Monterey and I've never ever caught a halibut and do would love to put a check that on my bucket list 🙏 please
What size pole do you use sorf fishing?
What kind of rod and reel are you using?
What size hook do you use? Thank you.
How many can you keep ? I read some areas 2 and some 5 , asking for Southern California, point conception to Mexico border , thank you !
Where abouts do you go fishing? Would like to try it out
Very fine informative video. That hook looked big, to fit your 1st big looking bait--swim or fluke? What size/type hook? A few words about distances from weight to drop shot. Back in your root fishing grounds!!
Location??? Everett's home base?? And your starting base????
What gear did u use?
what length and weight of pole? hopw about what pound test?
I have had good luck doing drop shot with a Berkeley alive sand worm
Adam, I would like to know about the setup you used for this halibut excursion.
I am exposing my grandsons to the Oregon Coast this fall and wish to purchase something that I can use for surf, jetty, and crab casting. Does such an animal exist?
Thanks for the great videos.
Something 9ft or longer with a medium heavy or heavy action. Probably something in the 1-5oz lure range will do. Okuma has some excellent surf rods available
@Luke-zn6fn Thanks Luke. I've been exploring options in the same range. I will check out Okuma. Hoping to pick up something during the Amazon sale next week.
Yep, I second what was said above!
Can you tell us how you cooked it??
Where in cali are you fishing normally
Nice catch!! 🤙🏼
Thanks!
@@DieHardFishing for sure I needs to try going for halibut one time
This rig will help 🤙🏼
How many casts ?
Here "Fishy Fishy Fishy" 😊❤
I live in San Francisco, and know I can get some halibut from shore in the bay, however I'd much rather fish in the surf. I've never actually heard of anyone catching them from our beaches this far north. Maybe nobody does it? Have you ever tried it in our area?
What beach is this ?
“Gibbs' Rule #9: Never go anywhere without a knife.”
Started getting into knives a little over a year ago, now I am shock when a person isn’t carrying a knife while fishing.
I went to a small private K-12 school in the south and in middle school they encouraged us to carry a pocket knife everywhere, even at school.
The older kids were even allowed to keep their hunting rifles/shotguns in their cars at school if they went hunting before class.
In case anyone is wondering, no one ever hinted towards using either against anyone at school. It was a different time and place for sure.
My uncles carried their guns to school and after school went hunting. I remember gun racks in trucks and nobody braking into those trucks. We live in a different world, many don’t know there’s been so many changes.
Where are you fishing?
Maybe tie a treble hook off the bend of the hook to cover the tail ?
Thanks for the great tip😂
What size hook?
3/0
@@takeadeepbreath6053 SUPER LONG SHANK??
Im.going tomorrow. We shall see.
Good luck!
@@DieHardFishing nothing for me. 2 were caught though
Where you at.😊
Hey there. Been following you for a while. Love your videos and I do think you one of a few that actually know what you talking about and also informative and details on your vids. Very helpful indeed. I know it's a unwritten rule among those who fish that they do not blow the spot. I haven't met a person that willing to reveal the location, except me. I personally don't keep secrets. I'm happy to help anyone who has passion about this sport as much as me. I never worry about people catching most of the fish. I believe if anyone that is willing to put out the effort, they will catch eventually. That does mean if I show the spot and all you need is a rod and reel, it doesn't mean you will be catching. I'm pretty sure that's what fishing is and pretty much how life is. So would you consider listing that info in all your videos from now on so that you can make it difference among all these other fisherman. I'm not calling you out specifically, I'm just be honest and truthful and hope I find a common out here on this platform. You can disagree with me, I'll unsubscribe myself and won't comment again.
A FAT NO😂😂😂
You do realize that there is a HUGE difference between posting yourself catching a fish at a spot with your 10 followers and a person with 80 THOUSAND subscribers, who are mostly from Northern California, posting a spot right???
@@HideshiIzu I do understand your points. Can we be different? Can we create a close net and loving fishing community where we can all share and spread the love of the spot. In reply to your comment, If i can make 80 thousands followers’ day, I wouldn’t hesitate. My return is to see/put someone on a fish. It makes me just as happy because i made a difference at that moment. It doesn’t always have to be me all the time bro, I’m just as happy and excited to see another fisherman catching. This is just my point of view. I hope we can find a common in this community where we can really enjoy and relax.
What beach is that
What is the name of the beach
