Hey Lance, Great video! Gave me the inspiration to fix the leveling box on my 65 HC rather than replace it. Like you said in the video someone had put too much grease in there and the plug lifted out and let water in. How does the pin on the other end of the handle shaft go in? I have tried hammering mine out with a punch but it won't budge. Before I totally messed it up, wanted to make sure it was not a tapered pin that I was driving backwards.
Hi Lance thanks for that! Can I ask you what you'd recommend for my Mark 1 mf65 to make it easier to steer its all manual Ive put one of those speed spinning hand knobs on the steering wheel rim but when I'm going real slow its so heavy my arms can't handle it! Do you reckon a power steering kit would be ok for a very novice mechanic at home?
Thanks Lance very informative, I've replaced my mf65 levelling box and noticed the grease nipple had been broken off. After a frustrating time breaking drill bits got it out and of course the hole is too big to keep the new one i found in . Do you know what is the standard grease nipple for the fergie and what size is the tap?
Usefull video for massey lovers ...from india
Thanks 👍
G Day Lance, many thanks for another good video, it's nice to see the old girl coming back together.
many thanks
Barry
Glad you enjoyed it, slow and steady in my shed at the moment.
Good idea having grease that has a bold colour the normal shit is transparent and don't realise how much you can get everywhere!
Yeah I reckon you are right there.
Another great video Lance!
Thanks again!

They can be a tapered pin and in the past I have had to drill them out as they rust in.

Yes a p steer kit is an option but before you spend money on that make sure the kingpins and kingpin thrusts are in good Nick.

Tap is usually 1/4" UNF but if it is an aftermarket one they could be 6mm but I would go with 1/4 unf
