It’s so true. I saw him several months ago and I think it’s the best live performance I’ve ever seen. The authenticity of his voice while being pitch perfect is something to behold.
I know, I noticed that, too, and for a split second, at first, I thought his voice was NOT as good live but only seconds later, I was all in and couldn’t believe how beautiful his voice sounded. Let alone this amazing song, and THIS arrangement. Like with the electric guitar and all.
I’m so glad someone else said that! If I go, I’m goin, and chemicals did me as well. I have self reflection something fierce when I listen to him. Ha the last three in a row, were those and I’ve been crying all thru them. So beautiful and powerful.
All inside our Amsterdam she hides Watery-eyed That howling wind, she's waving hi Her other hand's in mine Oh oh silhouette She's growing tall and fine She's got my back She'll follow me down every street No matter what my crime All inside our Amsterdam she flies Hoarding the kites That howling wind, she'll take everything But she's easy on the eyes Oh churches and trains They all look the same to me now They shoot you some place While we ache to come home somehow
I saw him live last November and it was the only concert I’ve ever been to when I was holding my hands over my heart and just feeling ever single emotion come up
This is my favorite song, I wish there were 3 more stanzas. The song ramps up and comes to an end, if only it lasted a little longer…just a beautiful tune…it changed my life…incredible!
The thing that maybe baffles me the most is that Chris Tile apparently plays here, while he also plays in Vulfpeck lol. So different, yet both so cool!

Gregory changes my life. He helped me survive homelessness with the weatherman. That’s the album that kept me alive and hopeful 😭
I hope you're doing alright, my friend.
Keep your head up my friend one day at a time make it a bit easier drop a line to let people know u r good
I love hearing this. I hope you’re doing well!
His music is so pure and uplifting. I’m glad that he helped you through your tough times as he’s helped many of us. I hope you’re doing much better!
Hope you're well ❤
Gregory Alan Isakov should be a genre of his own. ❤️
Wow, he’s even better live than in the studio. That voice.
Gregory live is amazing. Heard him twice, once in Glasgow and then we loved it so much we heard him the next night in Edinburgh. Awesome.
That’s a rare thing to find

His music is a refreshing glass of cold water and the calm eye of the hurricane
Couldn't agree more, I love this guy!
This got me in tears for some reason....

I feel that
Me too..all that suppressed feelings & emotions just bursts out whenever I listen to Amsterdam
Simply the best. “ if you could only listen to one song the rest of your life” ✅
That violin slur at 1:06 is putting such a big smile on my face. So smooth.
All inside our Amsterdam she hides
Watery-eyed
That howling wind, she's waving hi
Her other hand's in mine
Oh oh silhouette
She's growing tall and fine
She's got my back
She'll follow me down every street
No matter what my crime
All inside our Amsterdam she flies
Hoarding the kites
That howling wind, she'll take everything
But she's easy on the eyes
Oh churches and trains
They all look the same to me now
They shoot you some place
While we ache to come home somehow
Not sure how someone could dislike this!!
Haunting. Beautiful. Isakov is simply the most remarkable folk artist of his time.
This video is my go to video when I’m stressed.
I really don’t understand how more people don’t know about him and the band…
Love, love, love Chris Thile grooving heavily in the background at 2:48. This IS heavy groove music!
I saw him live last November and it was the only concert I’ve ever been to when I was holding my hands over my heart and just feeling ever single emotion come up
his music is so incredibly soothing
Love this version. So different yet so familiar.
This song nearly drives me to tears every time I hear it. So beautiful ❤️
Favorite song, have to listen to it multiple times a day.
I do like it very much, but the Moon Song is my favorite.
This is my favorite song, I wish there were 3 more stanzas. The song ramps up and comes to an end, if only it lasted a little longer…just a beautiful tune…it changed my life…incredible!
sooooo gooood
this is the most amazing song of all the time.
I simply cannot get enough of this song, let alone this artist ♥️
Such fabulous song-writing and the best voice. XX
A most beautiful performance 😊❤️🎶😊❤️🎶
While we ache to come home somehow 🥺🥺
they perfected it in this version
I like this
ohhhhh ....w Chris Thile...Awesome!!!!!
well done boys

Live from here with Chris Thile is his musical show. While he sometimes plays along his guests (Bon Iver, Vulfpeck etc), he does not in this version
@@Silverdaay ahhh, okay! 😊 But I didn't know that he plays with Bon Iver as well lol! 😍
He's an absolute legend! 😊 👍
Maestro!!
Just cool
Nice performance 👍🏽
While we ache to come home somehow…😢
I keep rewinding it just to hear that. So haunting and yearning.
His mudic is a refreshing glass of cold water and the calm eye of the hurricane
Very good doctor.
Man what beautiful music is this? only 90,000 views? World has bad taste these days wtf

I thought it was going to be the Jacques Brel Song.

Came for the Brel, stayed for the Isakov.
