Thanks for the video. I bought this based on what you were able to show. The tiles alone are worth the price of admission. A compelling game system thrown in seems like too much to ask.

Wow, You're right about the combat that was quite slow and you rolled the lowest possible amount of enemies. Imagine if you rolled 4+1 on both you'd be doing that single combat forever! Still looks very fun. Unfortunately there's currently no way to get this game as the dev removed this pnp after starting the kickstarter. Hopefully it's available to the masses after the kickstarter finishes.

Thanks for comparing this to Four Against Darkness and D100 Dungeon, both of which I am obsessed with. The benefit of those appears to also be that they may not need additional components..?
Yes. This game is a board game that wants to offer the flexibilities and sensibilities of an RPG but to do that it has to have a lot of rules and physical components-this a lot to manage. D100 and 4AD offer the RPG experience w/o trying also to be board games. Thus they are smoother overall IMO for sticking to their lanes...

Why didn't this video popup in my feed? I always watch your videos on the day they are posted, or the next day at the latest, and i frequently visit older topics for ideas...One of my favorite tabletop channels, and YT tries to hide it....
Nice video. Good to see the game in action… the combat looks good but I would say that the dodge mechanic seems like an overly difficult aspect for enemies to land a hit…it makes the “Parry” action unnecessary…I think a house rule for character’s that parry are the only ones that can dodge…
Glad you enjoyed the vid. Totally agree the combat and dodge in particular needs some work. Maybe having 10% fewer chance each time, simulating the enemy getting familiar with you... but that’s also just more to manage

The designer did a MONUMENTAL amount of work all on his own... that's how! I'm amazed at the craft he was able to produce in a singular way. I'm sure whatever you are referencing has been corrected.
Did he provide that card deck or is that yours? Pretty cool cards. Also, this looks like a pretty complex game. What's the advantage of this compared to a full on RPG such as Scarlet Heroes? Could you not do the same with SH with the advantage of running one or two characters?
You mean the cards at 25:00? Those are mine….
And to answer your question- not sure there is an advantage. It is a different experience. You could do the same with SH and run one or two characters, yes. This is a different kind of approach to possibly a similar outcome. Running SH might be easier but within it the provided physical materials but the attempt here is to stretch the boundaries of what a physical game can offer as opposed to an RPG rule set. Obviously those lines dawn be blurred.
I believe the designer has revised his game and if/when I get a copy I will do another vid on it.

If I already have 1995 WHQ (with many fan materials), is there any reasons why I should get this game?
Some of the tables look quite limited in this game, how much variety do we have: loots, monsters, events?
Lastly on RP side, I love playing WHQ with a Roleplay phase so would like to know if this game good for RP?
Hard for me to answer really. WHQ supplements are massive and this is close in many ways. But it’s not exactly the same either. I hesitate to recommend what someone should get since it’s impossible for me to know what someone really wants. Only can say how I experienced it
How does one get their hands on even just the book? The kickstarter was over in one month, the game was only printed once. It is completely unavailable. I can’t even find the book.

They share quite a lot. I found Dungeon Universalis a more polished game but it’s also the case that I was playing a prototype of this game.
