Can You Believe We Lost All 3 In 13 Fuckin' Days??? Shit's Fucked Up!!!!! We Had Some Great Music In The 90's,and Early 2000's!!!! R.I.P. TO ALL 3!!!!!!🙏🙏💘💘
This is what it was about back in the day, gettin out the ghetto & being able to be ya self, if they wanted to see thug ass niggas wave guns around they could just back to the block. Nowadays its all on the videos haha times have changed
Plus Shock G and Money B were more about a message then being gangster or hood,They had BLA ties that's why they got along so well with 2Pac.Un'Like this new era of "Gangster"when you are actually hood live in poverty and live that gangster life style u don't have to speak on it 247 cuz u live it,your that every day...
This is when hip hop was pure and fun to listen to. Shock G is a true musician and a legendary producer. I wish Pac would've made more music with DU. they had a nice chemistry.
In a few weeks I turn 39, hanging over the precipice of 40. What I loved and enjoyed about Shock G was his calm lyrical flow, the humor he used to command your attention (in an era where almost everyone was acting hard-not insulting his competitors because they were immensely talented in their own right), and the healthy messages he instilled in every song: people of all races and nationalities assembling to do the Humpty Dance, “black people do the humpty hump, white people, Samoans etc., etc., or “Do whatcha like”, loving and respecting all women “hey fat girl, come here are you ticklish? Yea I called you fat, look at me I’m skinny, never stopped me from getting busy” every song he made you smile. Shock G made me smile. I’ll miss him, along with many others: MCA (Beastie Boys), Prince Markie D and Darren Robinson (Fat Boys), Biz Markie, Jam Master Jay (Run DMC)…etc. Thank you guys for supplying the soundtrack to my childhood, early teens, along with every other man, woman, dog, hampster, guine pig, koala bear, penguin, parakeet, goldfish…xD RIP to all you guys who are now partying with God. All my love 🙏
Shock talked about how Pac was disappointed with his first album's sales... he said "if I could get a beat like Kiss You Back my shit would be poppin" lol
I love the positive vibes Humpty Hump (Shock G) embodies. Tupac also had great positivity songs, like Keep Ya Head Up. We need more of that in this world.
Shock G. aka Humpty aka Gregory Edward Jacobs passed away 4-22-21. I can’t begin to describe my sadness. Back in the day I LOVED this song. Rest in Power Shock G., “the one that put the satin on your panties.” 😢
Back when hip hop was fun..informative..real. Somewhere along the line WE lost that. A cultural phenomenon so great that everybody felt that they had a place in it...but "they" don't.
I have all thier albulms. Never got tired of listening to thier music. They were all such a versatile group. Tunes are so catchy and they were geniuses in the studio. Shock G R.I.P brother. Humpty Hump lol
R.I.P. Shock G. We used to go to the record store after school here in Tampa, and he'd be in there digging through the crates. I ran into him two years ago on the street and took a picture with the homie too. Super cool cat man. Gonna miss him dearly. Salute
You gots to give these guys their props in this bad boy. The took the music and the vocals put some rap the video as well you listen and dance off of this, and it's a classic.
Shock G said Pac was pissed that he wasn't high on the billboard charts at the time his album dropped. They tried encouraging him But before Pac stormed out the room he looked at Shock and said "...If I had a song like Kiss you back....!!! Then Shock proceeded to produced I Get Around for him. RIP to the Geniuses. Shout out Money B, DJ FUSE !!!
I think music can be allegorical to the times, and this song reminds me how fucking the awesome 90s were compared to the 2020's... not just in music. This shits fun, free, artistic, loaded with talent, charm and good times. Life was a party. How'd we lose this?!
Shock G was so creative! The different characters he played, the songs that sounded like no one else. A true Hip-Hop original. R.I.P.
He is Pooh Shistey now
I thought it was 2 different persons
