- This was the only missing song from Trijntje Oosterhuis on Yu-Tube, which by the way it happens to be my favorite, so I want to be able to enjoy it anywhere I am, And I hope you too...

I did too...now listening to all the song she sang. Her other version of this song with just the guitar is on another level.
This performance brought a tear to my eye, because i was once in that dreadful place . I’m fine now, but i will never forget that awful and very sad feeling of entering an empty house.
Sometimes we find a song that just means so much and relates to this fragile life we live, and so this for me is such a song, firstly I lost my precious daughter, then again my heart is broken with the loss of my treasure my gentle wife ,now the house is empty now and listening to this song I long for all that went before...Dad

I've found this is true, & yes THIS song has the tears flowing, Trinj really knows how to sing Mr Bacharach songs, I'm glad I happened upon here also.. I hope that time some how helps you get through your days, keep their memories in your heart. Burt`s Music which is always haunted and with the lyrics of Elvis made this song to a universal song, a song of infinity. This song is blended to one of these heartfelt songs ever. Thank you Burt and Elvis for writing this haunting song. In one word Amazing!!
I heard this song at a book store and immediately bought the album. I still love it.

Never heard someone sing it with such dedication and with so much soul. It gives me goosebumps everytime I hear you sing it, it makes me cry. You've touched my soul, Trijntje.

Trintje is the only contemporary singer of the Bacharach songbook that can match the vocal force of Dionne Warwick.
I agree.... but have to say I enjoy her even more.... it's actually an unbelievable authentic, almost overpowering accuracy.... breathtaking at times.
Would entertain any feedback concerning why this God given voice does not tour much in America. I realize she is a big hit in the Netherlands where she is from. Judith as her american friends call her needs to tour the US. A voice of indulgence throughout a concert.

It's such a shame. The man himself, Burt Bacharach, called her a national treasure and performs with her often. Her talent and voice deserves to be known in the USA.
Americans are pretty isolated from the rest of the world. I'm glad I lived in Italy for a long time. Americans miss out on so much and think the world revolves around them, unfortunately

Did you see the crowd cheering at end? Who are these lead-asses? Her last note would have shot me up out of my seat like a carnival ride. They're watching one of the greatest shows ever produced and they sit on their arses like they just ate too much.
