Keep the GS and buy a small light off road bike Second hand at a good price one you don’t mind dropping. I did years of Motocross so did my share on the dirt but I’d definitely go for the lightest bike at the right price. Off road bikes won’t give you what the GS does comfort and presence on the road. I loved my GS but comes a time when money comes in to it and we all have to make decisions. I don’t regret buying my CF Moto Explore but even that would be too heavy for off roading. 170kg or below you need mate Your Chanel will find its own way when you decide yours. As you say reviews get views and subscribers but I wouldn’t say it was enjoyable more a job than a hobby. You need that feeling of when you get home from a ride or whatever on the bike it’s “Fuck me I enjoyed that” if you don’t get that feeling then it ain’t right. See you soon Mukka
It’s a very hard decision, all of the smaller 700 / 800/ bikes in my eyes don’t quite have the legs or ability to load all your kit to travel distances. I know I’m 56 and the gsa is heavy but for me she’s staying a year or two longer , you might love off roading more but then it’s a van and a proper off road bike , I spent years ridding the Honda xr400r. Totally epic at off road but impossible to travel without a van , and when you drop it ,which you will all day long it has to be an old bike . So even the 900gs is very cool bike in my eyes but way to expensive to drop on rocks, rivers , sand . Fuck it’s going to be hard , So keep the GSA , and buy an off road bike dead cheap and try it for a year off road ..
A very interesting vlog....you aren't the first youtuber to question their direction and probably won't be the last......if TH-cam go down the same route as Facebook, we might all be looking for a different medium.......as for bikes, off road is all about the weight....the more under 200kg the easier it becomes...it's not about power either....the bikes you have mentioned are big tall and heavy. Take a different tack. The Honda CB500x the the right rubber is a great cheap alternative and far better off road than you would think....... Good look with your choices. Catch up in the autumn when I have some spare time😉
Nice honest video, yes there are times in life we reinvent what we want from life to make us happy… Hope you find that something that sparks the new “Adventure” in you lad 👍 (Not that you looked like you wanted to give up the GSA In front of me out of Balmoral 😉)… Thanks for sharing 🥃🏴
I like the tenere 700 is a beauty I would have one and I agree off road adventures is something that has always interested me pal, everything about it seems fun and the camping side of things makes it more fun! Great honest video 👍
Decisions Decisions, hate them,if possible, for now, I'd keep your tractor, test ride the ones you mentioned, and the suzuki 800 DE, find a cheap crf or similar, practice off roading skills, but whatever you decide,if it makes you happy it's the correct decision pal. Keep up the great vlogs, take care, stay safe, 😁🏍👍👌

Same thoughts here ref the GS weight, its easy to pick up but all depends on how its fallen (or fell) Like you mate, im looking at the GS900 of husky. its just easier with a lighter bike mate.
Follow your gut feeling, get a smaller lighter bike and open up a whole new avenue of riding and experiences. Your subscribers I'm surewill find it interesting considering you'll be starting again.
yes peaky its a awkward one isn't it the big GS is ideal for touring or long distance and comfy but you do more of that than off road , so why not keep your bike and get a 2nd bike like a 850gs or 750gs they are well capable or why not get a brand new gsa the old type before they all sell I am sure they must be some good deals out there with the 1300gsa getting launch soon. just a thought 🤔
I am in the same predicament as you mate, life is good but i have no sense of direction and really don't know why that is also looking for a change of bike, i want to do the lanes but want to road tour too! Mates all have road bikes, wish i had the funds for two bikes as that would be easy!

@thepeakybiker I had a go on the F900GSA while at the ABR & was just the same ride really as my own,but a little more top heavy, since it had a full tank of fuel in it & pretty much double the price aswell! 🤣👍 I know your wanting something lighter, but those HD Panamerica are under £10k used now & ridiculously great value for money! 😮👍

I’ve had my days of off roading and Moto X, I don’t bounce like I used to. Good luck whatever you decide.
@thepeakybiker yeah it is a tad heavy. My mate Willie had the 800 and it was ideal but he never keeps his bikes that long and has traded that in for a new GSA
I can not tell you what I think about the bike you want or even need. This was a very serious video for you, as it sounds like you got a lot of things going on. All I can say, we are going into hard time over the next 5 years and money might become tight. We are getting older and things are heavy. I just bought 4, five gallon gas cans to replace my other ones that have rusted. Went plastic this time. I own two generators for when electric goes out. That's where I am at! Looking forward to seeing your directions Is looking. For you with the channel. I have felt that from you for a while, but I have not seen consistency yet. So, keep your head up and good luck with your choice.

I think theBMW 900 would be brilliant for you mate. We all buy bikes for different reasons and what suits you has a rider and what makes it perfect for you.
