Cheesy fight. This was my second complaint about the arc. They send the Juppongatana to the Aoiya and no one gets killed? It was all “I believe I can win!” By the time Kenshins master showed up you knew it was over. There wasn’t any real suspense.
I feel that Juppongatana in general are very underpowered, at least as shown in the anime. The only real threats imo are sojiro and anji (honorable mention for usui but he is unlucky bcs facing saito who is basically stronger, smarter, and has more experience) Edit: i forgot to mention chou. He also gave hard time to kenshin

Maybe if you actually paid attention to the video you would know they state he mimicked Keshin's favorite attack, the Ryu Tsui Sen, which should be ridiculously powerful even if not as much as Keshin's. Little Yahiko ends up as one of the strongest swordmen in the series, so congratulations for your quit, you're an idiot.

God, I remember first watching this episode. Yahiko just pulling a legit Hiten Mitsurugi move out of nowhere (even calling it out) was so hype! 👌
Legit one of the hype-st moments of the series. I'm glad my boy Yahiko achieved his milestone. Well deserved.

It isnt clear here, but he put the door above the explosives and went up with the blast. I know, it doesnt make sense, but thats what happened.

Reading their description from wiki just before entering kyoto arc, i thought they were at least at the same level as kenshin saito or aoshi
