i don't know why many green bay packers fans now hate brett c'mon the guy helped the team 16 years and if you want to blame someone that person is ted thompson who think aaron rodgers is a better QB, he is the personal responsable that brett left the pack
Brett Favre is a legend in football, and should beloved by Packers and Vikings fans and also by people who just love the game of football in general. I'm a Packer fan and could never hate the man.
just thought I'd share that I did some research since so many people feel like pointing out that Brett has the most interceptions. John Elway had a 1.33/1 TD to INT ratio, Dan Marino had a 1.67/1 TD to INT ration, and Brett Favre has a 1.53/1 TD to INT ration...
I think the one thing that sets Favre apart from everyone else, the thing that makes his legend untouchable is his obvious love of the game. Sure, he hasn't had to worry about a contract for years, but he shows a joy and excitement over the game that no other player seems to show.
I hate people (not here, but the general public) hating on Brett Favre. He's done now, yes he waffled in retirement and for a while wanted to get back at Ted Thompson, but I think he was honest and certainly the best qb the Packers ever had (and top 10 all time). He gave his best years to the Packers and now some fans are hating on him. I'm a die-hard Packer fan, but I'm still kind of sad that I couldn't see Brett play again... even if it were for the Vikings.
Brett has defied all odds against every pompous 'expert pick' and proved them wrong. Im proud to call myself a Packer Fan! GO BRETT! Reggie would be proud!
they lost yesterday, I'm disappointed, as all we pack fans are, but U gotta hand it to 'em, what a great season, I don't think any of us saw them in the NFC title game, let alone the playoffs. So I say congratulations to the pack and better luck next year give thumbs up if you agree
@MrVadivelu yeah, if the safeties are in press coverage, the defense in 4-3 and cornerbacks in press coverage. But you're not saying the Rice does that ALL the time. Even Roy Williams did it and he's not even half as good as the best wide receiver.
@prettyinpink4526 I ment to say that he was going to take over in 08. It was late at night that I typed that comment so i wasn't thinking straight. I obviously know that Aaron was drafted in 05 and sat behind Brett for a few years. Trust me, i ain't retarded.
The only reason Jerry Rice broke almost every record in receiving corp is because of Joe Montana. If you have that good of a QB, even I can break that record.
Oh no I don't mean that he wont enjoy it. I'm saying he's going to be a Packer, whether he likes it or not. I'm sure he'd love to retire a Packer. It's where almost everything that made him someone happened. I think he has much more respect for "where he came from" as far as his level of stardom is concerned. I think he'd pick the Packers over any other team he's been on too, if not just out of respect for fans. Of course his reception this Monday may tell a different story for him. We'll see.
no kidding. at least he is back though. I mean look at this: Favre's heart is undieingly in Green Bay, in green and gold. Brett Favre will never hoist Adrian Peterson up on his shoulders, he'll never throw a snowball at Kleisauser. Brett Favre, the human being, is always going to be a Packer, a friend of ours. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to get off the drugs. Seriously. lol
@donmegablast You are entitled to believe that, but I completely disagree with you. I love the Pack, and as much as I like Brett, I did not want him to win when he was playing against us. But I was very sorry to see him get hurt last season, even wearing the purple. Now we've got Aaron Rodgers, who has already won us a Super Bowl, and will be great for years to come. I wait for the day now when Brett's #4 is retired as a Packer, the team that made his legendary career.
i wish it wasn't a penalty to take your helmet off on the field now. It woulda been cool to see him take his helmet off and run around like a crazy man like he did after his first touchdown pass.
Everyone at first thought of him as a traitor, but now, things should have settled down and hopefully soon, he'll be inducted into our HOF, his # retired, and him being remembered as a Packer great! Same with Jennings, once all the drama settles with him, things should be ok again.
Brett Favre is one of my favorite players of all time, I was sad to see him retire, angry that the Giants and Saints spoiled his chances of going back to the Super Bowl, I would have loved to to see him win one last title with the Pack by knocking off the perfect Patriots or see him beat Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl
say what you want about Brady, But at least Brett Favre can say that he never was on a team that cheated, can Brady say that? the answer is No TRANSLATION: Brett Favre > Tom Brady
That's a poor measure in determining greatness especially when every team in the NFL has cheated at some point. Cheating is cheating and no cheat is more damning than another. Every cheat is equal imho
With how the NFL is set up today, absolutely!stat wise.Favre's prime days, Rodgers couldnt perform like he does now, sorry. Too much QB protection going on, Favre took huge hits back in his day, Rodgers already has a few concussions, Rodgers Broke his foot during the 2006 season was out for season. sorry I feel Favre in his prime is more battle tested than Rodgers now .Look at how they both came in the NFL. Rodgers LEARNED from Favre! LEARNED! Only an idiot would ignore that obviously...I.M.O.
Brett has defied all odds against every pompous 'expert pick' and proved them wrong. Im proud to call myself a Packer Fan! GO BRETT! Reggie would be proud!
i totally agree. i'm a pack fan as well, but i miss the guy. i wish him the best.
i don't know why many green bay packers fans now hate brett c'mon the guy helped the team 16 years and if you want to blame someone that person is ted thompson who think aaron rodgers is a better QB, he is the personal responsable that brett left the pack
if he comes back, he could be the first qb to pass for 500 td passes.
Well he did just that and nobody can take that away from him.
Brett Favre is a legend in football, and should beloved by Packers and Vikings fans and also by people who just love the game of football in general. I'm a Packer fan and could never hate the man.
i like the way you put that. very true indeed.
just thought I'd share that I did some research since so many people feel like pointing out that Brett has the most interceptions. John Elway had a 1.33/1 TD to INT ratio, Dan Marino had a 1.67/1 TD to INT ration, and Brett Favre has a 1.53/1 TD to INT ration...
@brawy1 You're so right, he made the game fun again for us, gifts don't get any greater.
I think the one thing that sets Favre apart from everyone else, the thing that makes his legend untouchable is his obvious love of the game. Sure, he hasn't had to worry about a contract for years, but he shows a joy and excitement over the game that no other player seems to show.

I'm a die-hard Packer fan, but I'm still kind of sad that I couldn't see Brett play again... even if it were for the Vikings.
I'm not a Packers fan but I got to watch this game with a long time friend of mine who is a die hard fan of the team. Great moment in NFL History.
I was there to see Vikings legend Brett Favre break the record with a TD to Vikings legend Greg Jennings. Classic
Brett has defied all odds against every pompous 'expert pick' and proved them wrong. Im proud to call myself a Packer Fan! GO BRETT! Reggie would be proud!
Dude, he put the team on his fuckin' back.
I so wish I had this game on DVD. Other than Super Bowl XXXI, I would say this has to have been Brett's greatest game ever.
i love how favre celebrates every single td he throws like this
yes, there he is the BEST QB OF ALL TIME BRETT FAVRE
they lost yesterday, I'm disappointed, as all we pack fans are, but U gotta hand it to 'em, what a great season, I don't think any of us saw them in the NFC title game, let alone the playoffs. So I say congratulations to the pack and better luck next year give thumbs up if you agree
Did he just break the record for most consecutive starts in a game in any football players career this season?
Future Hall of Fame!
he also has the record for the most int in the NFL
Still holds the INT record. Not so much the TD record though lol
i almost cried...reggie would've loved this,nevermind his age,he runs around the field like a kid in a candy store!congrats man-GO PACS!!!!!
I own the football used for this touchdown
@KenFan4life and sure enough he did it! And his 500th careeer TD pass was his first and only pass to Randy Moss to date.
favre said after this that it was like any other td and it was nbd. i dont see him carrying greg jennings on his back after evry td.
hell yea man
they don't hate him anymore
I respect this guy a lot!
Good Luck Favre!
Greeeeeeeeeg Jennnnnnings. He put the team on his back.
MooneySuzuki3654 LMFAO I remember that video 😂😂
@MrVadivelu yeah, if the safeties are in press coverage, the defense in 4-3 and cornerbacks in press coverage. But you're not saying the Rice does that ALL the time. Even Roy Williams did it and he's not even half as good as the best wide receiver.
now lets see the video he breaks the record for most int's
Brett = uber. We'll miss you up here in Packer Country :(
@prettyinpink4526 I ment to say that he was going to take over in 08. It was late at night that I typed that comment so i wasn't thinking straight. I obviously know that Aaron was drafted in 05 and sat behind Brett for a few years. Trust me, i ain't retarded.
congrats Favre u had 1 hell of a career!!!
So much foreshadowing in that TD pass...
even viking fans were aplouding
@NFLization so ur saying that if montana threw you a 5 yard slant you can take it the whole field because he threw it to u? wtf?
@95GD This happened before he was drafted to Green Bay. This was Bretts final year as a Packer and after this season came to an end, Aaron took over.
He's one of the greatest QB's in NFL history! CONGRATULATIONS BRETT!!!
wouldn't you if you just broke a record set by one of the most famous NFL players?!
yeah, and i think emmitt smith did that too
The only reason Jerry Rice broke almost every record in receiving corp is because of Joe Montana. If you have that good of a QB, even I can break that record.
tru dat
421
It's almost wierd to see brett in a Packer uniform now...
Of course his reception this Monday may tell a different story for him. We'll see.
He has one...
I hate the Packers with every fiber of my being, but old #4 definitely deserved the loud ovation the Viking fans gave him.
The fact he played for them later makes this that much better
no kidding. at least he is back though.
I mean look at this:
Favre's heart is undieingly in Green Bay, in green and gold.
Brett Favre will never hoist Adrian Peterson up on his shoulders, he'll never throw a snowball at Kleisauser. Brett Favre, the human being, is always going to be a Packer, a friend of ours. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to get off the drugs. Seriously. lol
HEY thats not Favre with the Vikings?!
I like how arron roggers was in the end
@donmegablast You are entitled to believe that, but I completely disagree with you. I love the Pack, and as much as I like Brett, I did not want him to win when he was playing against us. kind of weird that he plays for the vikings now huh
brady will never be better than Brett Favre
This didn't age well 💀💀
Is Kleisauser retired though? DId'nt see him on MNF.
Tell that to Vinny Testaverde
Everyone at first thought of him as a traitor, but now, things should have settled down and hopefully soon, he'll be inducted into our HOF, his # retired, and him being remembered as a Packer great! Same with Jennings, once all the drama settles with him, things should be ok again.
Gotta break some eggs to make an omelet.
I was at that game....and witnessed NFL history!!!
im glad he broke it as a packer
He needs a superbowl
so what??
well than he needs more
once
Brett Favre is one of my favorite players of all time, I was sad to see him retire, angry that the Giants and Saints spoiled his chances of going back to the Super Bowl, I would have loved to to see him win one last title with the Pack by knocking off the perfect Patriots or see him beat Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl
I was there and got it on camera ! lol
That would happen to any quarterback without his best receivers.
but he broke all the records in green and gold ahahahahaha
And Peyton Manning beat Favre's record.
Orion And Brees will break his record and Brady will break his record. Basically under the new rules everybody will be breaking that record.
say what you want about Brady, But at least Brett Favre can say that he never was on a team that cheated, can Brady say that? the answer is No
TRANSLATION: Brett Favre > Tom Brady
That's a poor measure in determining greatness especially when every team in the NFL has cheated at some point. Cheating is cheating and no cheat is more damning than another. Every cheat is equal imho
@AgentSmithClan top 10? best ever dude. definitely top 3
I like favre a lot but if you think about it, if he just retired and was done with it Aaron Rogers would ha
That's basically saying that every great QB in NFL history was made great by his receivers. Well let me help you out fool, THAT'S NOT TRUE!
Dillon! Brett Favre would have missed a lot more time in today's NFL because of things like concussion protocol and the like.
Aaron Rodgers is a much better QB than Favre anyday.
And tonight, Peyton Manning will have a shot at beating Favre. :)
He got it!!!!!
And Brees just passed manning tonight for the All time passing TD mark
Bruh
I was not at this game
lol
Brett has defied all odds against every pompous 'expert pick' and proved them wrong. Im proud to call myself a Packer Fan! GO BRETT! Reggie would be proud!
