    Thanks for making the videos, Andrew. They always give me a boost. Adobe selected just three of my images, but I'll take what I can get. One of my sales on Shutterstock was of a street sign I took here in the U.S. It sold for ten cents in Melbourne, Australia. That's a long trip for a photo to take for ten cents.

      Thank you for telling me that. It makes me happy to read. Also, good that the Aussies liked your photo enough to buy it. But 10 cents! it breaks a little piece of my heart every time I see that...

    Keep up the great work, man.

    Thanks Andrew for sharing your earnings as always. Yes I had 314 images selected for the free section of Adobe, but same as you, they only took 9. I also had a $40 sale from Alamy refunded to the buyer, but it happens sometimes.

      Hi Brett thanks for sharing your results. Sorry to read the month didn't perform for you.

    • @BrettHondow
      @BrettHondow 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @andrewbalcombe1338 It still performed pretty good regardless, $164 for Adobe with 142 downloads and $61 for Stuttershock with 114 downloads. It's a neverending job though, we gotta keep feeding the monster or our earnings will practically stop.

    I got 630 assets accepted into the free section and I was disappointed. I need a dose of reality...I am very lucky and thankful. Great video, as always!

    Hi Andrew, great to hear Alamy shows some signs of life again. It seems I have reached the plateau with earning around 250 month by month, so it is my mission to break through it in coming months. The national oldtimer day was great, and now I am sitting in the train to Amsterdam, travelling back from Czech Republic where I was mostly visiting all my relatives last time before my wedding, but I managed to take some stock photos as well.

      Hi Milos, Great that you are doing so well and looking to do better. Wish I could have been at the oldtimer day too. Hope your trip back home was a good one and that you are all ready for your big day 🙂

    So interesting. It sounds as limp as my design sales on Spoonflower. I've chucked it in.

      Hey i'm sorry to read that, but I really understand. Microstock demands time and for some, it is too much, considering the rewards these days. Especially when first starting.

    Thanks for the update. I have been doing stock photography since 2016, but it is very part-time. But late last year I got stuck in and uploaded more and did some photoshoots specifically for stock. So I'm sitting at just over 1100 photos on the main sites and about 400 on Adobe. So my monthly earnings are picking up this year, but total sales still only averaging around $30 a month. I do more editorial than commercial, so I want to take more commercial images to improve my portfolio size on Adobe as I've seen my earnings grow more there. I got my partner involved in stock photography as well and it's crazy how I'll have a bad month and he'll have a good month and vice versa.

      That's so good to read you and your partner are now having fun with microstock. I hope that the income picks up for you both.

    Thanks for sharing! My results were kind of low in June, especially on Shutterstock, but seem to have picked up in July, with two large photo sales. I upload regularly, even with the dwindling results in the last years, but rarely bother with models, model releases, etc. as I don't see those photos selling much. I live in Quebec, and most of my sales are architecture and landscape photos from Quebec City, Montreal and Quebec in general, even though I have numerous travel images from all over the world.

    • @andrewbalcombe1338

      That's interesting to read. I fall within the "no model" camp too. But who knows in the future... Hopefully the summer season will pick up for you.

    Glad to hear it's going fine with you. I had 45 photo selected on Adobe but none was picked out. On Shutterstock I got 14 dollar from 31 sales. Istock almost the same as you. I also started at Alamy now.

      good luck with Alamy Patrick, and sorry your free pics missed out. I see that is not uncommon, going on what I see in the comments. All the best for a sunnier bottom line for `July

    Andrew. I am also focusing more on wildlife. I am planning future trips with wildlife in mind. I would do more now, but it is 116 degrees outside. Not fun.

      @andrewbalcombe1338  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Jason! I've seen you getting out and about with your wildlife lens. Great to see you are expanding on that. i get so much satisfaction from it personally too. We are lucky here in the Netherlands that we NEVER have good/hot weather ;-) so more opportunities for shooting critters!

      @@andrewbalcombe1338 My original interest in photography was wildlife, but I never had a lens with the reach and very limited wildlife in Indiana. I am not shying away from landscapes, but I do spend a lot more time looking for wildlife. I've been in touch with the Arizona Fish and Game department to help locate the herds of wildlife that roam the state.

    Hi Andrew, thanks again for the video. I hope you are feeling better now. I too find my commitment to stock photography quite demanding at times considering the returns I get. I aim to submit 20 images per week but don't always succeed, especially in winter. I had a good year with P5 last year but it's been very unproductive this year. For me SS has been performing quite poorly in the last six weeks for some unknown reasons. I did exceedingly well with AS last month though it's quite slugglish this month. Reviews are very slow. I decided not to go for submitting the AI generated images as I don't really want to spend my time sitting in front of the computer. Great that Alamay has been good for you. Look after yourself. Best wishes - Nishi

      @andrewbalcombe1338  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Nishi, Thanks for sharing about how your portfolio is doing. I notice that alot of contributors are struggling with their agencies at the moment. I too am in two minds about AI and haven't started uploading any assets yet. It could be an option for the long northern winters however. Have a great July!

    Hello hello Andrew! Good to see that you at least earned a little from the Adobe free collection. Unfortunately none of my assets ended up getting selected. I'm just going to ignore the pathetic $7,73 I earned on SS, as always mainly 0,10 sales. Adobe Stock earned me $40,75 which I'm very happy about. 36 downloads, about 50% ai images. The highlight is a drone video of a lake in Germany that earned me $14. I'm actually selling more and more drone photos so I might need to fly & upload more! I hope July brings you loads of sales and a quieter time at work. Or at least less stressful and more manageable. Make sure you take time to actually rest and do nothing! (:

      Hi Laura, thanks for the feedback and also your kind words. Yes, it turns out getting AD to accept the free nominated pics is harder than we expect! It's good that you had a pretty strong month with them despite this though. Thanks again for sharing and I look forward to some peacefull early summer days. All the best for a good July too!
