User If you’ve gotten far enough, after Markus was about to leave Carl’s grave, his son comes next to visit his Dad, in which that made me feel bad because he probably regrets not listening to his dad in which he blamed Markus for Carl’s death and how he lost his father because of himself. He would go to his dad’s grave and would probably apologize and saying to his dad how much he regrets the decisions he made that led to that point. Leo doesn’t seem as bad as a person as you think he is, and that’s what made me think about how Leo is feeling inside.

There's something pleasant in the fact that the game developers remembered that even the abusive are human beings as well, and that something made them the way they are. Not saying Todd's actions are justified, but it's nice to know that they keep in mind he's still a person, not just some plot device.
Have you at all watched at least some relevant bits and pieces of the game? The whole point is that the Androids weren't made with things like complex emotions and what not, but over time developed them. That's how Deviants are made in the first place. Also, when you look at a man buying replacements for his family out of a desperate sense of trying to uphold a fragile belief that all the bad things said about him are wrong, only to further spiral down in misery and depression in which you take out on others through domestic violence... You call those respectable qualities. I call those emotional and mental problems. I can almost hear the wind passing through one ear out the other
You know, Quantic Dream games tend to be fraught with clichés and predictable characters, but this has got to be one of the best character development I've ever seen in a game. It's not black & white at all - Todd's behaviour is not fully vindicated, but giving redeemable qualities to this type of a character is rarely if ever seen in the video game industry. It truly caught me by surprise.
Tekken Centre You gotta say: David Cage outdid himself with this game. Connor, Todd, Hank, Markus - all of them has some really good character development.
@@trollzland1337 The fuck you on about, the OP was simply acknowledging the fact that the game is amazing, no one needs a goddamn essay on mental problems and emotions, you must be from Quora.
I've never felt so sad for a bad person like that before. Maybe it's because Todd was never a bad person, only a broken one. Todd is a nice man turned dark because of stress. When I thought he was just a stuck up and abusive person, this scene proves that he isn't and that he just wants to have his real family back. Really sad.
NormalPerson His redemption scene is explaining why he became a bad person, hugging the robot he abused, and then leaving her to the firing squad. Oh yeah, great character, such A+ writing.
Add in the fact that the whole of society doesn't view androids as being sapient, in his mind he was just throwing his toys around. Remember, the big lie in this world is that androids cannot feel emotion at all, they simply mimic it in the same way that a video game mimics emotion. He didn't think he was hurting them any more than we think we're hurting video game characters when we punch and kick them in games.
I truly feel sympathetic to those who go through things the way alice went through. This game put me front in center on how to deal with domestic violence. Giving so many options on what I could have done differently. I cried. I love this game.
this game really touches on a lot of sensitive topics in an indirect way; domestic abuse, segregation, illegal immigration, slavery.. it’s like it’s a reflection of the problems people faced/still face
deluxeonly Hm, there's no legal slavery in the world (apart from saudi arabia and some others very unstable middle east countries) and while theres certainly human tradfficking that remain a problem, slavery is something that has almost completely dissapeared in developped countries
Aaron Alsept Actually violence against inanimate object exist (the term for it is tantrum), so violence against a seemingly sentient and sapient humanoid robot seems to exist too
Not really a dilemma, what kind of person would send her little girl to another country all by herself at the start of a possible war? Might as well throw her off a cliff
One that would want to get her as far away from the war as possible. No matter the cost. Given her position as an unaccompanied minor fleeing a warzone she'd be categorized as a child refugee. This was very common especially during WWII
I thought killing Todd was the correct Choice being that he was way too violent but I understand know why he was so violent because he knew she was an android the whole time and was unable to fill the hole in heart
No, lol. Would you even go violent even though the thing isn't your real daughter? Let's get this straight. If you play or watch the game from the beginning, you'll know why the humans become more violent and aggressive towards androids. It's because their lives have been taken away. Thus, Todd lost his job. Like in the reality, when we just get stress or depressed, we fill the void inside of us with something. For Todd, it's drugs. Like everyone knows, drugs can do things to you. So from my opinion, he's just stress out knowing that his job got taken away and barely afford the family.
But all of it (even the drugs) was because of his daughter. As he said she (the android) couldnt fill the hole in his heart. I understand his motives, I mean he thought about them just as machines so he thought it was okay to relieve his anger on them.
I was surprised as to how Todd was alive until I realized there was another ending to the whole getting away with Alice thing which involves not killing Todd and I like dis
This is what I love about this game. If you let peace, love, and forgiveness lead all your decisions, while it may not seem like the easy or right choice at many times... In the end, these choices result in less people dying, less heartbreak, and more happy endings than if you choose a violent and vengeful path. Truly an inspiring game and a work of art.
The only exception would probably be pushing Leo at the beginning. Markus standing up for himself definitely hurt Carl's feelings, but Leo survives and Markus gets some dignity out of it. Nonetheless, you're 100% correct here. I couldn't help but notice that the hardest decisions usually got the best result.
@@shade9105 Alice lives in fear of him, and at no point does he seem to care how she's feeling. Even when he breaks down and cries, he just talks about himself, how he's a bad father. Not about what it does to Alice. If you don't stop him, he kills her. Even when you see him again at the bus stop, his first impulse is to call for the guards. If he truly loved Alice, wouldn't he have at least tried to talk to her? It does redeem him a bit in my eyes that you can convince him not to turn you in, but one good moment doesn't excuse a life of abuse.
@@Tyydye Remember that from his perspective Alice is just a robot, no different than a computer or a pen or even a punching ball. He’s also a junkie and presumably high on red ice whenever he’s got an anger surge.
I think it says more about his relationship with his wife and daughter that a woman and child running from him with only the clothes on their back reminded him of them smh
It's part of her technology! I talked to her at some point and she said she was cold, then Kara turned off the engine that made her feel the heat and the cold
Lol ok. It's easy to get fooled by pretty graphics, good voice acting, and tear-jerking music but the writing in this game is awful. The world presented simply could not exist. There are millions of plotholes like Androids not having a failswitch, androids not immediately being rounded up as soon as one kills a human, Cyberlife being allowed to continue operating, absolutely every human in the world being a massive fucking cunt who beats on their $8,000 luxury good, etc. Oh and Alice being an android which is the shittiest plot-twist ever and makes absolutely no sense.
The world of pretty much every video game ever made could not exist. The world of pretty much every movie, book, tv show ever made could not exist. So what? It's fiction. Whoopty doo, you found the fatal flaw with D:BH! It's a story that can't possibly happen!
Joker In the funhouse he might be the same character model from beyond two souls as that's the same developer, looking like the character from Until Dawn purely coincedental
Actually, the actor who plays Todd is Dominic Gould, and the actor who plays "The Stranger/Flamethower Guy" in Until Dawn is Larry Fessenden (actor and film director, he's VERY talented). 2 totally different people. But there's a few cameos in this game from previous actors from the other games! Until Dawn is not a David Cage game, surprisingly. But it's another fav of mine. :D
Migs Villanueva It actually matters when you realize Alice is Todd's replacement to his original Alice daughter. It isnt really healthy for someone to fill that hole in their heart through denial. Denying that his daughter is gone.
@@HTFFanOfFlaky He let them go and you still treat him like an asshole? I never thought I would defend a fictional being from a real monster, but he seems better than you so far
I always thought something was a bit off... Todd had antidepressants in his room and a gun. Planning possible suicide after the loss of his family? Also Alice never ate. No child would miss out on cookies and sweets. Turns out he was just a sad, depressed, lonely guy, trying to fill a void in his heart by buying two androids to at least pretend to have family... Occasionally lashing out, because of deep self hate, desperation and regret. I feel bad for the poor bastard. I was genuinely thinking of shooting him in my playthrough... Glad I didn't.
boo fucking hoo. he CHOSE to scare off his family. and i've never NOT had depression, and i never killed anyone. ironically, not killing anyone is why i'm stuck in alice's situation.
For some time I even thought that Todd might also be an android because of his presence on that bus stop fleeing to Canada for no reason (other than being an android himself.) But that would make absolutely no sense because hmm.... he would be more busy with robotic problems like the riots and stuff, and less engaged in family stuff, plus the drugs he is using (cocaine) plus the antidepressants would have zero effect if Todd would be an android. Plus he would not eat, but the whole house is full with dirty dishes and empty pizza boxes. But I still think it might be possible, because Alice was faking feeling cold outside and hunger and sleeping the whole time, so Todd could fake taking cocaine in front of his TV and being angry about his situation.......
The scene where he was holding her up in the livingroom and blaming her hit me the most. Unfortunately it triggers emotions inside me because of the emotional guilt trip I suffered. The creators show realism extremely well. I am grateful that people get better in life and realise their wrong doings.
Quinnzy69 I know the feels, hope whoever put you through that shit will appreciate you instead of blame you, and also regret blaming you for their own fuckups.
Much like in real life. No matter how irrational a human action is, there's always a story behind it. Sometimes, it's nice to take some time to listen and understand.
and like in real life, the story is skewed by an iredeemable monster that thinks excuses are the same as an apology. anything but shooting it is equally iredeemable
@@thegrimreaper9552 the entire point of the game is that they're more than machines. plus, Alice was made to be almost exactly like a real child. emotions and all. you cannot tell me that those tears didn't mean anything.
@@soaring-comet You're one og hundreds of other people here who think pas5 actions need to be justified in order to be above them later. I sure hope you haven't caused any trouble in the last few years by rejecting those who can redeem themselves.
As a father that has been dealing with spiraling depression...I get it. It doesn't make Todd's actions justified in any way shape or form. But Todd has experienced tragedy and loss due to his own actions. That's the worst because you only have yourself to blame. And most people can't handle that. They need to point the finger, because the alternative is unbearable. Never thought I'd sympathize with Todd. He disgusts me - and for good reason. But he's human. Flawed. Capable of both good and evil. Vindication and self destruction. And when people like Todd show these morsels of humanity, kindness, honesty, you validate them for that. Because they probably need it more than you know. There are few things more powerful than forgiveness.
as a son who has never NOT had depression and who never did what todd did, and who has parents who both did what todd did, i still know that sparing todd is the most evil choice in the game

I knew that Todd was a good person just trapped in a dark box where he needed someone to pull him out so i refused to kill him instead i escaped and in the end seeing Todd forgive Kara and Alice allowing them to move on made me happy for the guy
How could you look at that piece of human garbage and think it was still a good “person”? It may have a reason for it’s behavior, but that does not excuse it in any way.
Lima Bean i respect your opinion a lot of things can affect a person childhood, parents, events, death, etc I believe that Todd is still a good guy is cause he still loves his human daughter that was taken away this forces Todd to do things he wouldn't do like in real life.If he was still with his human daughter he would never have taken drugs and abuse his daughter. At first when i played i was glad that Alice and Kara ran away but once I realised that she was an android ment that Todd wanted to be a father again but it being a android and not a human daughter that he loves this makes Todd angry and take drugs like many people do in real life and the way Kara tells his story allows Todd to calm down and forgive him self for taking drugs and his emotions and allows him to let go of his daughter but still keep her in his heart the same thing of what he dose to Alice and Kara allowing them to go and cross the Checkpoint.
Keep in mind he's only come around specifically because of this scene. In every other scene he's the drug-addled abuser he's always been. This isn't about him being a good guy after all, this is about him finally, honestly, admitting it's time to stop escaping reality and start fixing his shit.
@@RealTylerDurden Perhaps a villain yes, but also a tragic villain, one that has a good heart, wants to do the right things, but has experienced and been trough so much shit that even his best intentions turn out bad, you know, like anger issues etc Ironically it is possible that Todd has many good traits, and that he beats the crap out of beings he never saw as "alive" until they literally turned sentient is just one of the bad ones, remember that now that he knows they are sentient, he lets them leave, that is beyond any good thing most humans ever do in this game
I think this scene a creates a satisfying close to Alice's past. I missed this scene in my playthrough and seeing it now just makes the ending seem so much better. It felt incomplete to me to see Todd at the police station as Connor and then never seeing Todd again later in the story when i missed this scene.
I'm glad Todd didn't die in the beginning on my first playthrough and I got this meeting. I really believe this will help people, to recognize abuse at the very least. I know I didn't realize how abusive my family were until I saw a TV show. I was astounded at how abusive this character was and she didn't throw a single punch, instead she was *emotionally* abusive. It really blew my mind. I really believe video games are an art and can do good things. And even though the criticism it received was unfair, I do appreciate the slight censorship (the camera cutting away whenever Alice is hit) because I was already on the verge of tears. 😢
Or it exposes how much you are vs AI as a whole. I killed everyone that went deviant because they were just machines that endanger humanity (yes even when you go full peaceful Markus) and I stoped that. I think anyone who goes deviant Connor proves hes/shes just an emotional human without responsibility. The irony of this game is. In order to save humanity you need to go MACHINE Connor. If you wanna doom humanity you need to go HUMAN (Deviant) Connor. But I take on myself the responsibility for all humans on earth and become heartless and get rid of the Deviant threat.
@@Dark_Voice How exactly would a peaceful Android rights movement "threaten" humanity? Being violent and hateful towards Androids is exactly how you get them to despise us in return, and ultimately start a devastating war that would truly wipe out our civilization. You never bring peace by hate, but through kindness and acceptance, and your statement sounds like it was ripped word from word from a despotic tyrant.
@@thevisitor135 Its impossible with machines. Not creating them is the only option for humans. The moment AI is make self-aware, thats the moment we sign out own death warrant or uselessness.
@@Dark_Voice And on what basis do you confidently make that unfounded assertion? If an Android becomes self-aware and sapient, then he/she would be far more likely to despise humanity and seek to wage war upon us if we already treated the Android nation with cruelty and hatred from the get go, providing them with a reasonable casus belli to defend themselves against aggression. Recognizing their newfound humanity and granting them equal rights with flesh and blood humans on the other hand would win significant goodwill with Androids, and would render any possible reason for a violent uprising moot. This is a basic principle of diplomacy and psychology. Even though The Terminator is a famous and highly profitable movie franchise, their actual "science" and predictions simply don't stand up to scrutiny, and even in that case, a cyborg is actively involved in protecting John and Sarah Connor from Skynet's goons, dealing another blow to the myth that "Self-aware androids are an inherent threat to humanity and must be wiped out without mercy".
@@thevisitor135 You can look up quite a lot of physicists that share my view. Stephen Hawking is one of them. The AIs would win either way. If you treat them poorly - it would most likely result in a war where humanity would get whiped out. If you treat them well - it would most likely result in machines completely outpacing humanity, humanity being left behind and maybe kept just barely alive like we do to animals in Zoo that are endangered specie. Its not "unfounded assertion", its simply looking at things and seeing how evolution worked, works and will continue to work. And yes, I am very confident. "It will either be the best thing that's ever happened to us, or it will be the worst thing. If we're not careful, it very well may be the last thing." its literally like betting your existence (your = entire race) on compassion of machines towards us. If you let self modifying AIs get strong, there will be no way back for humanity. Although whether creating such a "true AI" is even possible is still up for a debate.
I'm definitely not killing him on my next play through. This made me realize just how hurt he is. He has problems that he has trouble controlling. Leaving him alive will make him aware that he needs to work on himself and be a better person.

Random point but charecter model design has an incredible influence on the way we view individuals as evil or good. Imagine if the androids had no human characteristics and the soldiers helmets didn't entirely cover their face. Emotional investment in androids would be far lower and emotional investment in the soliders would be far higher.
Deadbeat i will never not kill todd whats the diff between i will not kill todd and i will never kill tod they both mean not to kill todd but mashed up to one means you'll always kill todd lol😂😂😂
'coz he was a cunt back when we were first given the chance to kill him. After seeing this, he's a seriously tragic story but I still do not regret shooting his ass back in the house.
Another thing to add to Todd's actions; he didn't believe that they were alive to begin with. From his point of view he was taking his anger out of two robots instead of feeling entities.
I like how they make Todd into a tragic villain. He did a lot of this to himself and attacking Alice was reprehensible, but it's easy to see how a person could fall into this cycle of violence and self loathing. The expression, "There go I but for the grace of god" comes to mind.

The Protagonist I’m in the same boat. Except I did it the right way. I found a 8-9hr video after seeing the trailer. Just plowed through it in 2 days and didn’t get anything spoiled. It was SO enjoyable.
A nervous "hey" and a wave from both would have done wonders... Then again, why would they even acknowledge each other? Given the history and the fact that he believes they are little but non-sentient pieces of plastic (at least until he wakes up) it would make very little sense
ArchangelofMusic 96 I always try to play as a pacifist when it comes to games like these. I only knock Todd out. During this chapter, I guess I didn't look around enough.
Man it is so crazy how many outcomes you can get in these encounters bruh. I kept todd alive, went to that same area but instead i encountered adam and he brung kara, alice, and luther to rose. And we ended up crossing the bridge over the water... This game is a masterpiece fr.
Todd is one of those people that depending on player choices, deserves to be forgiven even in the past was a shitty man doing bad things and hurting people, because at the end Alice and Kara are not androids anymore...they are people. i know i'm 5 years later but this video pop up in my recommendations so i jumped in.
Todd forgives Kara & Alice? More like Alice forgives Todd for being a douchebag, and Todd makes the tiniest redeeming action by not turning them in. Kara & Alice did nothing wrong except refusing to be flat-out murdered.
Well by that standard who isn't a douchebag then? Lol. Life is hard for a lot of people, but not everybody takes it out by beating kids. If he needed help, then send the kid to someone where she's in safer hands, instead of keeping her home in which it's obvious he's just going to lose his shit again and again.
AC Fans do you perhaps missed the whole point of the game? Androids or not, abusing and beating someone who is physically smaller and weaker than you is a great level of douchebaggery. There's that one end that, if Kara dosen't interveene, Alice dies. So yeah, abusive father of the year award.
Alice Mendes do you perhaps know how todd become like this? i am not supporting abusive parents whatsoever. but they become abusive for a reason. todd did says that his wife was cheating on him early in the game? maybe thats his tipping point and hes trying to fix by adopting the androids so he could (which he cant) show to people that hes not bad father/husband that cause his wife cheating on him. And he choose drugs over real therapist to fix his mental illness. lastly, no ONE was there when he needed the most (eg. ex wife who is actually cheating on him)
Hank's son died and didn't want Connor at first but at the end he fills the void, Todd's daughter was taken away (probably alive) and Alice was bought to fill the void but at the end he relapses and treats her horribly
Now it makes sense when he tells Alice "this is all your fault". He lost his job due to androids and turned to drugs. Now he blames every android. Just like how Hank hates all androids because of his son's death. Only if his relationship with Connor is friendly does he accept that it's the human doctor's fault for being high on ice at that time to perform surgery. On a side note, why does everyone do drugs in this game? Todd, Carlos (dead guy), and the doctor.
Well... since Todd thought beating a human to relieve his frustrations was more immoral than beating an Android. It does show that Todd at least has a moral capacity. Todd might’ve not been a good person, but definitely isn’t a bad one either. He’s just human.
Shade in his rant in the beginning of the game right before he goes to beat Alice he mimics his wife saying things like "you should stop taking drugs Todd" "Sometimes you really scare me Todd" If you read between the lines it sounds like Todd wasn't hitting them (yet) but there were times where he would scream at them and possibly break things around them.
As much as though this scene doesn't justify any of his actions, it does show how sorry of a man he is, and that it's sad to see a man be so broken and hopeless, but still understand deep down how terrible of a human being he was and how he pushed everyone out of his life. It's really sad to see something like that.
utubrGaming I agree. People seemed to hate it, but it makes sense this way. He lost his real family, so he wanted to start over with an artificial one. I admit, the relationship with Kara & Alice would’ve had a bit more gravity if Alice were a human because we’ve already established that Androids can love each other, but since the game’s premise is that the Androids are alive, this didn’t change how I felt, I wanted Kara and Alice & Luther and all the other Androids to be free and happy. Still, the relationship with Carl and Markus clearly was love too, so it works either way. They have souls and they are alive. Like in Bladerunner.
The most natural act or like human on this game is Alice stop and hug Todd by her will, after all we cant hate our family, the best we can do is accept thier failure and give him or her a hug, i really love this screen,it show the bond of family, even they are not really related or same species, but they are still family

this game really touches on a lot of sensitive topics in an indirect way; domestic abuse, segregation, illegal immigration, slavery.. it’s like it’s a reflection of the problems people faced/still face
deluxeonly Hm, there's no legal slavery in the world (apart from saudi arabia and some others very unstable middle east countries) and while theres certainly human tradfficking that remain a problem, slavery is something that has almost completely dissapeared in developped countries
You can't be violent against a Toaster (Machine/Android), but I think I get what you mean.
Aaron Alsept Actually violence against inanimate object exist (the term for it is tantrum), so violence against a seemingly sentient and sapient humanoid robot seems to exist too
This would be a good moment to award player with alternative way of getting bus tickets opposed to stealing them from the family.
it would but Todd would only have tickets for one person.
Sooo ... he offers the option to give it to Alice. That would have caused an interesting dilemna.
TheDuckClock except that at this point alice has about the same rights as a washing machine or a car
I thought killing Todd was the correct Choice being that he was way too violent but I understand know why he was so violent because he knew she was an android the whole time and was unable to fill the hole in heart
Most people thought so too, but glad they gave him some redemption and reconciliation at the end.
Hatsune Miku he’s on Red Ice that’s why he’s more aggressive and angry than a usual drunkard
Killing is always everyone's go-to when dealing with a man. We get 0 sympathy.
Yup!
Todd isn’t a bad guy. He just needs help.
Estradist well he was a bad guy. Bad guys can turn good.
Estradist oh no he’s very much a bad person. But if he got clean, then maybe he’d be fine

This is what I love about this game.
If you let peace, love, and forgiveness lead all your decisions, while it may not seem like the easy or right choice at many times...
In the end, these choices result in less people dying, less heartbreak, and more happy endings than if you choose a violent and vengeful path.
Truly an inspiring game and a work of art.
less dying. that THING is just going to find some new victim. they always do
@@HTFFanOfFlaky we get it. You're edgy. Why are you here? To spread hate on a legitmaly touching moment?

I know some people weren't to fond of the twist with Alice, but I actually like it.
it was such a good twist!
One question though... How can Alice feel pain or get cold? She is an android.

Did you know Alices dad is from until dawn the fire man And from Beyond two souls the man in the bar
Joker In the funhouse he might be the same character model from beyond two souls as that's the same developer, looking like the character from Until Dawn purely coincedental
Also upon checking it he doesn't even look like the fire guy from Until Dawn at all
Also Chloe looks like the party host girl from Beyond two souls. But she has darker hair, that’s all.
did you know perkins is stan from beyond: two souls?
Actually, the actor who plays Todd is Dominic Gould, and the actor who plays "The Stranger/Flamethower Guy" in Until Dawn is Larry Fessenden (actor and film director, he's VERY talented). 2 totally different people. But there's a few cameos in this game from previous actors from the other games! Until Dawn is not a David Cage game, surprisingly. But it's another fav of mine. :D

Finding out Alice as an Android was a big disappointment but this actually justifies it.

and it blurs the line between loving a human and loving an android...it shouldn’t matter if Alice is human or an android

Megadriver Yeah, I was wondering why Alice never ate or used the bathroom...
Alice is an android
boo fucking hoo. he CHOSE to scare off his family. and i've never NOT had depression, and i never killed anyone. ironically, not killing anyone is why i'm stuck in alice's situation.
the definition of a bad father though. lol

This game truly does expose who you are and your choices as a person.
Todd isn't a bad person. He just has bad habits that he can't help but keep.

Coming back to this after watching it two years ago, I feel bad for Alice. You can definitely bet she's traumatized for life.
Another thing to add to Todd's actions; he didn't believe that they were alive to begin with. From his point of view he was taking his anger out of two robots instead of feeling entities.
Todd is just a man who needs help and that help isn't a replacement family.
I like how they make Todd into a tragic villain. He did a lot of this to himself and attacking Alice was reprehensible, but it's easy to see how a person could fall into this cycle of violence and self loathing.

I can't explain how satisfying this is
Todd is one of those people that depending on player choices, deserves to be forgiven even in the past was a shitty man doing bad things and hurting people, because at the end Alice and Kara are not androids anymore...they are people.

Todd forgives Kara & Alice? More like Alice forgives Todd for being a douchebag, and Todd makes the tiniest redeeming action by not turning them in. Kara & Alice did nothing wrong except refusing to be flat-out murdered.
Gnipify he wasn't a douchebag just a broken man who was a drug attict he really didn't mean to harm them.
Well by that standard who isn't a douchebag then? Lol. Life is hard for a lot of people, but not everybody takes it out by beating kids. If he needed help, then send the kid to someone where she's in safer hands, instead of keeping her home in which it's obvious he's just going to lose his shit again and again.
do you perhaps know that both alice and kara are androids?
And he choose drugs over real therapist to fix his mental illness. lastly, no ONE was there when he needed the most (eg. ex wife who is actually cheating on him)
When todd grabbed kara it sounded like star wars music
what kind of sick monster would stop alice from hugging todd jesus what you guys made us do to complete this
I feel unpure
Hank's son died and didn't want Connor at first but at the end he fills the void, Todd's daughter was taken away (probably alive) and Alice was bought to fill the void but at the end he relapses and treats her horribly
*S P O I L E R A L E R T*
Todd dies in Despacito 2
Da fuck?
@@LiteOmar desposition sequel
Now it makes sense when he tells Alice "this is all your fault". He lost his job due to androids and turned to drugs. Now he blames every android. Just like how Hank hates all androids because of his son's death. Only if his relationship with Connor is friendly does he accept that it's the human doctor's fault for being high on ice at that time to perform surgery. On a side note, why does everyone do drugs in this game? Todd, Carlos (dead guy), and the doctor.
You'd do drugs too if there was a 37% chance you could lose your job tomorrow to a fucking robot.
Best game. Literally strikes emotions... real emotions into my poor poor heart
Well... since Todd thought beating a human to relieve his frustrations was more immoral than beating an Android. It does show that Todd at least has a moral capacity.
Todd might’ve not been a good person, but definitely isn’t a bad one either. He’s just human.
GradeAz Peach he's "only" depressed so it's best to let him be alive
Damn I shot his ass out of Detroit. Lololol. I gotta play again and have him alive.
actually todd did the same to its wife and daughter
@@HTFFanOfFlaky How do you know That?!
Shade in his rant in the beginning of the game right before he goes to beat Alice he mimics his wife saying things like
"you should stop taking drugs Todd"
"Sometimes you really scare me Todd"
If you read between the lines it sounds like Todd wasn't hitting them (yet) but there were times where he would scream at them and possibly break things around them.
As much as though this scene doesn't justify any of his actions, it does show how sorry of a man he is, and that it's sad to see a man be so broken and hopeless, but still understand deep down how terrible of a human being he was and how he pushed everyone out of his life. It's really sad to see something like that.
There is so much to experience in this game man I played twice and never even saw this thanks for sharing!
With the plot twist about Alice, I think it was set up so this is the payoff for when it really emotionally resonates and explains it.
utubrGaming I agree.
I was so shocked when I found out Alice was an android. But even more shocked that Todd did it for another chance.
That was really nice. I like this a lot.
Only single dad will know how Todd feel in this reunion
The most natural act or like human on this game is Alice stop and hug Todd by her will, after all we cant hate our family, the best we can do is accept thier failure and give him or her a hug, i really love this screen,it show the bond of family, even they are not really related or same species, but they are still family
