I think salinity of warm water is more than cold water because cold water not vaporise fastly than warm so water molecules of cold water will not vaporise and salt molecule of water does not comes on surface
warm water remains on surface so has less salt. Cold water sinks to the bottom which matches with high density property, so cold water has more salinity than warm water.
Thank you so much for this video! As someone with ADHD its very hard for me to learn stuff with a lot of information and stuff that are complicated and have many details, but you really made me understand everything very clearly. Greetings from Norway!
SIR IT IS(CORIOLIS FORCE )COUNTERCLOCKWISE IN NORTHERN HEMISPHERE AND CLOCKWISE IN SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE...CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG....BY THE WAY UR EXPLANATION IS AWESOME....VERY HELPFUL...THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH
Coriolis force itself isn't moving in any direction. It's just a force which appears because of the rotation of the earth. Now this force deflects everything (including winds, ocean currents and even a freely falling body) to the right in the northern hemisphere, while the same force deflects everything to the left in the southern hemisphere. Now if an ocean current is moving in any direction in the northern hemisphere, it will get deflected to the right, and this force does not act only once or only if something moves in a particular direction, the force acts continuously on the ocean currents because the earth is rotating continuously. So an ocean current gets deflected towards right continuously and this results in a clockwise direction in the northern hemisphere and anticlockwise direction in the southern hemisphere. I hope you have understood the point. :)
@@kkkhan5695 are you asking why the rotation reverses in case of anticyclones? See cyclones have low pressure in the centre, so winds blow towards the centre and Coriolis force causes anticlockwise direction in northern hemisphere as winds get deflected in right in the northern hemisphere. But in case of anticyclones, there is a high pressure at the centre. This means air blows outside from the centre (in cyclones air blows towards the low pressure centre). So when air blows outside from the centre, the Coriolis force causes it to deflect towards right in northern hemisphere. Hence it goes clockwise in northern hemisphere for anticyclones. This is opposite to direction of cyclones. You have to visualise a bit. Try drawing it on a paper and you will understand.
Very nicely and clearly explained by you sir ... Only 1 doubt how the occean water moves if it is writtern that the occean water do not flows like river ...

i hv watched almost all videos of yours...few minutes back i was watching..modern history😁...plzz make more videos on history..i want to hear from u..what happened after 1857😁
Ocean water moves clockwise in northern hemisphere not solely because of coriolis force. All factors determines rotation direction. So don’t get confused.
Sir u said dense water have more salinity in chapter 13 of ncert class.....But the water in poles have less salinity is what i understood...But if cold water is dense then accordingly the cold water should have high salinity???
@@Me-mo6dt but it can also happen that warm water will evaporate faster and the water ascends as water vapour leaving behind salt....bt I'm not sure if I'm wrong then correct .e
@@CUINBOWL07 when the warm water will evaporate and form water vapors, so it does leave behind salt but it only leaves behind as much salt as it contained before. There won't be any excess salt left behind
When the water molecules of the ocean become heated, they expand. Extra space is created by this expansion into which salt and other molecules (e.g., calcium) can fit. Since warmer water thus can hold more salt and other molecules than cold water; it can have a higher salinity.
Sir can you complete the series of GC Leong 🙏🙏please sir, your way of explaining is awesome, directly fit into mind ❤️❤️❤️ please please sir
I really enjoyed your explanation

Exactly
No coriolis force is clockwise in the Northern hemisphere and anti clockwise in the Southern hemisphere

So an ocean current gets deflected towards right continuously and this results in a clockwise direction in the northern hemisphere and anticlockwise direction in the southern hemisphere. I hope you have understood the point. :)

Only 1 doubt how the occean water moves if it is writtern that the occean water do not flows like river ...
Ocean currents are like large rivers flowing in the oceans
❤️ Ur Explanation Sir and Thanks For this Wonderful lecture 💫 🙏
It fells that we got mesmerised with your explanation
Sir my only suggestion is that you should go in little detail also
Universal teacher 🇮🇳👍
Thanks alot you don't even know how much of a help youve been 🤘🏽❤😊
Nice and very exact to the point. 👍👍
Clear and on point ❤️
Please make videos on indian people and economy. Have more questions from it in civil service exams.
I will look into it.
For me Geography means Sir Amit sengupta's videos

How is cold water more saline, when hot water can hold more salt ?
I could not find similar explanation elsewhere!
Thank you

Sir u said dense water have more salinity in chapter 13 of ncert class.....But the water in poles have less salinity is what i understood...But if cold water is dense then accordingly the cold water should have high salinity???
Water can be dense due to low temperature or due to high salinity,
in the polar region water is dense due to low temperature
You're great sir... Thnkuu
Kamaal ho sir ji aap
Why cold water is more saline???....if anyone know plzzzzzzzzzzzzz reply plzzzz
cold water is more saline because it's molecules contract and become dense, and, dense water is more saline because it sinks down

How cold water is more saline if the evaporation is less in cold water resulting less salinity?
Great teacher
Thank you sir it is very helpful
Me: Binge watching all of the ocean current, water salinity etc videos because I have a science test
Me: **WATER IS WATER**
Sir plz keep up d good work.
Thanks :)
Outstanding sir
Sir Cold Currents are Deep oceam currents or surface currents
Let me know
Sir plz make available your notes link in discription
Thank u
Thank you
Please upload Ur videos on chap14, 15 & 16 sir.....asap
Thnx
Where is ur video on tropical andextra tropical cyclones sir???
Why cold water current is more saline ?
Sir rivive your class 11 world physical geography series please
sir , what is the effect of temperature on salinity?
definitely it aids most of the evaporation and and leave behind the saline in crystal forms which we normally call as salts of the oceans.
Cool water has more salinity than warm water.
Sir plz complete as soon as 11 &12 std

sir when the next chapters are coming
thank sir
But where is lecture on tidal movements,?? Importantce of tides
On its way!
👌👌👌
sir i really miss you don't y you so busy ?
Isn't hot water more dense
Cold water is always more dense due to the higher concentration of water molecules in them.
Why ocean water salt?
Because river carries salt constitutents

MISTAKE
warmer water can hold more salt than cold water; it HAS higher salinity.
When the water molecules of the ocean become heated, they expand. Extra space is created by this expansion into which salt and other molecules (e.g., calcium) can fit. Since warmer water thus can hold more salt and other molecules than cold water; it can have a higher salinity.
