      sometimes feel very anxious and kind of stressed sometimes while talking about studies and school or when U r not prepared or U feel scared sometimes that something will go wrong today and wanna also cry sometimes for that and I think I will disappoint ppl that have hopes for me 😢

      lOONA, Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing anxiety-stress. For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, hands on lap with palms upwards, eyes closed, be still and observe your natural incoming--outgoing breath and body sensations for around 5-10-15 minutes. Be as still as possible. Avoid moving too much. Many thoughts will come which is ok--slowly negative thoughts will reduce and your mind will relax. During your daily activity at home or office keep observing your breath with eyes open or closed. Best part is mood swings also reduce after daily meditation. Do the above meditation daily without any doubts to feel relaxed. Best wishes. Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor.

      I agree, it is a very good video. It helped me a huge problem with the idea of "how to stop over thinking".
      It just hit me now, having seen this video. The big clue was in that 3rd point. "Obsess over something your are naturally drawn to (productive)". The key part was in the brackets, PRODUCTIVE.
      I have been struggling on the subject of overthinking, somehow thinking the solution was to stop thinking...NO! ou can't stop thinking. Thinking is just what brains do. hearts beat, brains think. It's an automatic function.
      But we CAN re-direct that thinking.
      "Overthinking" is actually an improper description of the problem, it misleads someone as to what the solution is.
      It should be called "Unproductive thinking".
      Now to find something I am passionate about..... Not so easy for cynical, jaded, middle aged people like me.
      Don't lose that passion, kids, because it's tough to get it back.

    I'm not a social person and i developed a problem in my initial years when i was in 7th grade when i was first bullied, i used to think every guy would want to fight with me and in head i used to fight with everyone i see outside and in 90% of cases i used to lose the fight in my head, now its been 9 years i have lost my inner feel and i am afraid of almost even an argument even tjo i know its harmless i takr it to extent where we fight and something bad happens to either of us and i am living with it dealing with it everyday and i barley go out i just stay in my bed and browse internet.
    I hope nobody goes through this trauma and everyone please stop overthinking, Make it a practice live in present or you may end up like me

    Awesome video TJS. My overthinking and anxiety has become a vicious self sabotaging cycle. I always feel lost, disconnected, and generally feel like I have no "home". Just knowing other people go through this as well gives my optimism that I can overcome it.

      You're definitely not alone in the struggle. I also have episodes of anxiety, the concepts I mentioned have really helped me though it's certainly on ongoing challenge. It's a battle many of us face and I'm sure you'll overcome it

    Sometimes i see recommendation on youtube to find if you are ever stress or have any anxiety, then i watch and found out i have some symptoms then my mind automatically says "you only think you are in stress because you watch this, you just want to brag about being stress and want someone to comfort you" then my other side of my brain says "you really are stress but maybe other brain is right, you just want attention". This converstation of my brain last atleast 2 hours until i cry and fall asleep.

      I always thought something was wrong with me or i was born wrong but overthinking didnt really ruin my life until last year i started to just feel trapped in my head and to this day i feel its so much worse it ruined my relationship gonna be 4 years next month and im happy positive one second and the next im crying because 100 different things play in my head

      I feel the same way. Music is my therapy. Put on a song that you know the lyrics too, the mind gets distracted, listen instead of thinking. 🎶

      @@jessereejoycenaciongayo1261 yes, it helps the mind get distracted. Replacing the negative "thinking" with "listening" and when you listen, that requires you to be present.
      Although, that's a method to stop the anxiety temporarily. Because after the song is over well we start thinking again.
      What really helps in my opinion is meditation. I am barely starting to practice this. Thats the practice of being mindful. Couple minutes of just pure silence and controlling the breathing. And if a negative thought comes up then you have the ability to change that into something positive.. and being able to stop the negative thinking from effecting you. That's the practice.

    Overthinking has became so messed up for me that when I vent about a situation I overthink a person’s response would say “why would you stress over that? It’s not a big deal” or something like that, then I’m just sitting here I guess overthinking if I’m overthinking way too much.. It makes me feel embarrassed too if I’m just sensitive.     Very informative video. Be careful what you feed your mind. To feel better reduce negative thoughts. Avoid comparing with others, reduce negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed, avoid moving too much and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Never meditate with expectations but with awareness. Don’t fight your thoughts. With practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Observe your breath sensations before sleep, when reading, at work, when taking a walk etc -----anytime-anywhere. Like me, make this a lifetime habit to have a better life. Best wishes--Counsellor.

    What a great video, man. I am currently going through some things that are honestly not under my control, but I keep worrying about them. But this video gave me some really good advice that I hope will help me.

    I’m worrie to much I’m down all the time I found things that try to make me happy .I know it be very hard to understand me sometimes I can’t even figure myself out most of the time .my life is pasting so fast 💨 thinking 🤔 over the top into the future .I been having anxiety since I was a kid my whole life I faced it even in highschool .I barely talk sometimes because of it and when I talk I talk a lot trying to not feel that way again .I try doing something I love and it effects people around me I don’t get it .I try to be better everyday I have so much build inside me it hurts like hell I cry sometimes but I realize I have to grow up and be a men but I realize it’s okay to be upset 😭 I don’t like people seeing me upset or stressed out 😰 that’s one thing I face with anxiety I have the worse nervous problems i can’t focus 🧘‍♂️.So many people judge me everyday especially putting myself online which cuz more anxiety 😟 me being in a relationship with someone I love and barely feeling the same .I will be way stronger than ever and push threw all this .Being stressed all the time is not the way to be .Even if I explain myself to someone they won’t understand.I will just keep putting God first and keep working towards my goals .I’m hurt 😞 I want to prove so many people wrong who don’t believe in me that it runs in my head everyday .This year I been doing mostly everything I said .it’s like when I try to be very positive negative energy comes my way

    My body is crying my mind is crying. It seems like i am with extra 50kg on my back. My future, career, gf thinking is killing me. I am small person and can't take moreee. My days are getting dark . I don't know when i was so much happy. God help me 🙏

    problem of this is
    i keep overthinking between choosing that *is* within my reach
    thus idk which to choose since all both thing are equally have pros and cons
    like living place
    living here have better bed and sleep better, but less food/expensive food, less food enjoy
    or
    living there have better food/cheap or even free, but bad bed not easy to sleep well

    I overthink a lot, especially during class when I’m surrounded by strangers I see everyday, to the point where I build up a negative fantasy about people, and fall into it and believe it. Sometimes, I literally don’t feel like myself, like I’m wrapped in the skin of another person.
    I don’t really experience it anywhere else other than school... the only trouble I have outside of school is finding it impossible what clothes I should wear, and how to talk to people...

    You know one of the things I love most about these videos is that they can so easily say to just let something go or it's all in your head stop worrying about what other people are thinking when you have no control over it yeah well that's all well and good but you can't exactly tell someone who is a constant over thinker to just simply let it go because I don't know about anyone else but I sure as hell cannot let it go when I overthink nothing will stop it from happening and so far I have tried it seems every single stupid TH-cam video and they all say the same thing I think I'm just going to go try hypnosis at this point because it seems like nothing is working then again I guess I forget that these are just videos from people that don't have any conception on what they're talking about clearly they don't otherwise there wouldn't be so many overthinkers in the world..

    Sometimes all we need is a little reminder that we can't control everything, we only can control our mind and actions.... I'm fighting overtinking everyday, it's painful and makes me feel so much anxiety I can't even explain, even for the most stupid things.
    I am doing better, and when I loose control there are many sources (like TH-cam) that can help me....

    I have this illness called "acidity" and everytime and worse at night I always overthink that I have more serious illness and it keeps me stay up at night. But I always said to myself "God Is With Me/Us".
