I have one of these and I was able to find 14 round mags, 15 and 16 round mags for Remington 1911 R1 that works in it. As well as getting one for jokes, a Para-Ordnance 20 round mag for 45 acp!! So yes if you want to be shooting a lot of rounds of 45acp you can get up to 14,15,16 and even 20 round mags for this Tac Ultra HC !!!
It's a very nice 1911. I've been looking HARD on buying a .45 acp rock island. Rock island was the company I was going to be going with. Now finding out they got this one. I'll be buying this model
As soon as it came available to the public i baught it, iv had it as my EDC ever since and iv not has a single problem one with it. I love it. It is heavy for sure but I personally don't notice it as much since its my etc.
I keep hearing that this 2011 sometimes has issues extracting but I’ve only ever seen that in the 9mm ones. My own experience with the .45 is no issues at all
Bought this gun 2 years ago for $850. Bought to shoot in IDPA. I like the gun but does have a weight issue. Listed weight is 2.7 lbs but actually weighs over 3 lbs so having to make major adjustments in order to get to 43 ozs.
I have one for a while now. But I'm planning to sell it to my friend since I have smaller hands than him. I'm uncomfortable with gripping the gun that's why I'm planning to switch to the single stack version. BTW, the HC has a 14+1 capacity.
I want the magwell off and the magazines to fit flush(?) like the Remington R1 Enhanced double stack was. I also want a 4.25 commander size. I also want threaded barrel option because most full size pistols will be for home if you don't work a duty job, which means you'll want to suppress it. Anyone know if you can take the magwell off, and how does it look? 🤔
Any full size .45ACP 1911 barrel should work, so you can get a Kart or Bar-Sto barrel if you wanna splurge. Of course, as TrueShotAmmo mentioned, they will need to be fitted. Not really many 1911 parts that are true “drop in”. Makes for more difficulty in customizing, but a nicely fitted gun does shoot way smoother and better than anything mass manufactured, so it’s a trade off. Though the Para-style frames (like the RIA) often are ramped barrels using the Clark/Para style, so make sure to check. RIA sometimes uses ramped barrels and sometimes uses GI barrels.
You guys sound like you're debating dating a cousin, "I would if". Just kidding! I'm glad there is a double stack 45ACP gun out there for those with shallow pockets. I agree it seems like a great range gun and nightstand guardian.
Im disappointed that this .45ACP calibre of RIA TAC ultra FS doesn't come optics ready, no threaded Barrel, also limited to 1 magazine , RIA should be sending atleast 2 magazines. otherwise its a great gun. RIA needs to address this immediately the above issues raised.
Neither the FN nor the HK have a trigger as good as the Tac Ultra. I did a little "tuning" on mine. It sits at 1.5 lbs now. Of course this is a competition only gun now. The trigger take up is easily fixed.
My thing as is. Holster choices for this BIG MOTHER LOVER! . As far range Holster setup or when your out in the woods hunting this is a back up. There's NO WAY, Any one going to EDC this pistol. Not at 3lb loaded.
well since neither of you want it i'll buy it for $600 since you used it quite a bit. Gimme Also i think the Remington RP-45 mags work with this. If you can find em.
This gun actually has 14+1 capacity using Mec Gar magazines, and Remington R1 Limited mags can get 15+1. It’s also less thick in the grip than the Glock 21. I remember how shocked I was at the grip width of the Glock 21 first time I held it. It was noticeably thicker than my custom Para frame 1911 where I was using 15+1 flush fit. And with regular lube, a 1911 is perfectly reliable while being much safer, having a nicer trigger, and higher capacity.
13 +1 on a 45ACP is fantastic. The price is unbelievable low for what you get. Great value for money for sure.🥇
Its actually a 14+1

Mann I ordered one of these about a month ago in 10 mm at my local shop seems like it’s taking forever !! Can’t wait ! Appreciate the video !

I have one but I've yet to shoot it. It is a heavy SOB and that's empty. If you run out of ammo you can always beat someone to death with it.

Have about 2000 Rounds through it. Have had two misfeeds but believe it was the ammo.
Great feed back. In the 600 rounds we fired through it we had no failures. Wish we could have fired 2000 rds through it
Yeah sure. It’s the “ammo”. 😏. Get a glock 21 dude and dump that junk.

Awesome did it run well for you
I love my Rock Island armory 1911 45. Great review 👊 I have Wilson Combat mags for mine.
Heck yeah 🤜

Does this gun have a fully supported barrel, and can I buy a heavy duty mag spring? Thanks

Any idea on a threaded barrel for this?
That I am not sure about. I do know 1911 barrels are not drop in like others and do require some fitting.
Try Hayes Custom Guns in Florence, Texas. The specialize in RAI.

If only this had a threaded barrel, I’d get it asap

It was a good gun. Just felt like it needed something
Fnx 45 15 round mag comes with two mags paid 1240 best pistol I've ever owned at the end of the day you get what you pay for
What!!!!! That shit doesn't come close to a 1911.i bet that FNX has a horrible trigger pull .the 1911 trigger is still better than the junk
How come you never hear about Para ordnance double stack guns?
Not made any longer
Full support 👍👍😁😁
What dose HS stand for? Also I have the single stack will double stack magazines fit? Also where can I find extended magazines for the single stack
Not sure on the HS meaning. The double stack mag will not fit into the single stack. I am not sure where but any extended 1911 mag should work
@@TrueShotAmmo on the title says HS it's supposed to be HC
for High Capacity

Dude u tripping Striker fire pistols have a horrible trigger pull compared to a 1911
@@TheRealZJM377 My competition Glocks have 2 lb triggers. Been doing Glock trigger jobs for 20 years.

Is this a DA/SA?
SA only
That trigger is adjustable. Turn that screw and the take up will be gone.
Take-up is adjusted by the two 'wings' at the front of the trigger bow. That screw is for adjusting over-travel, after a little loc-tite is applied.
Glock 41 ftw lol
I once owned Kimber's polymer double stack 1911 in .45.
Bullshit. That ugly squared-up clunky looking block and a long one that makes it look even more uglier
Ehh cool to have but I'll take the G41 over this everyday except Sunday..

Unfortunately it has to go back to Rock Island
could of done a better job -
A glock 21 is just 500 usd, with the same 13+1 capacity and way more proven and reliable.

Half of it is polymer.. try again
