This is gonna get lost in the comments, but I wanted to say that I ended up playing Among Us with proximity chat and there were 2 people in my lobby who had Tourette's, and people thought they were being weird. I immediately recognized that they were ticking and they were so relieved that I understood and that I had their backs when people got a little rude. They were also very thankful that I reacted to their ticks in humorous ways. One of them had picked up a few of your ticks and they were so surprised, and a tiny bit embarrassed, that I knew that. I'm so happy that I was able to react so smoothly and understand what was going on so quickly. They seemed a lot more relaxed after they realized it wasn't a big deal to me. Thanks for normalizing Tourette's so much. It allowed me to support 2 strangers and they were so grateful for that. 💕
I cannot remember encountering anyone with Tourettes before, but until I watched Anita's videos I had no idea how they worked. I think there is a high chance I would have misinterpreted them. I used to think Tourettes was just shouting a random bad word occasionally. Not that it could be whole sentences working itself into context and all these physical ticks. Probably one should watch her videos in school or something to be made more aware of these kinds of disabilities to make it easier for people who have them. Until youtube, twitch etc there was really no good way of educating people on these kinds of things.
I doubt you are ever going to see this or anything, but I just wanted to say thank you for uploading today. My Aunt has been in the hospital, and things aren't looking good...It's been devastating to me, mentally speaking, and I needed something positive, wholesome, and funny to help stop the water works and to try to keep myself sane. This video couldn't have come at a better time. So again, thank you so much, Anita.
Robert, my dad was in the hospital for a while in 2020. It's definitely very difficult and painful, especially when you don't know the outcome. I'll be praying for her to recover, and for soothing and peace to fill y'alls hearts♡ I hope everything turns out for the best but you are in my prayers no matter what happens. ♡

It used to affect her in school, she'd get bullied for making faces at other students and making noises during class, even though she couldn't control it or even notice she's doing it. I like to think it just adds to the persons personality, makes them more fun to talk with, makes them different

So I have tardive dyskinesia (a different type of tic disorder) and your content has given me confidence and has motivated me to not suppress my tics anymore (it got quite painful after a while) and I'm overall happier with myself and I've learned to accept my tics as they are.
