I’m 41 and just found out I’m positive for HSV1 about 2 months ago . I started dating after been single for 6 years when me and my soon to be partner went to get tested for stds before we can get sexually active . I’m devastated to find this out now . For most of my life as far as I can remember I have always have cold sore since I was a child . I have heard people joked around about if you have cold sore it’s Herpes but never thought that was true . Anyway I’m still devastated and heartbroken since that person didn’t want to be w me because he has cancer and a compromise immune system he thought it would be best to not continue this relationship . I thank you for your contents in Herpes they’ve been helping me understand and learning more about the virus
Hello so i been diagnosed with genital herpes. Didn't know i had till a couple of weeks ago. I saw a very small ulcer on my penis and alot of redness and a little of skin peeling of from my penis head. So i knew something was wrong i when to a lab to get tested for everything. Everything else came negative but my herpes test came positive (1.42) thats what my test said. Its very strange i been with my wife for over 15yrs and only her. I do recall before ingot with her that i had a outbreak when i was 16yrs old but it only lasted for like a week and didn't pay attention to it. I was young and naive me and my wife are trying to have our first child . What should i do im very lost
If you're not getting outbreaks, the chances of transmitting herpes are low. You can have a baby just fine and in general, herpes doesn't change much. Your life can be pretty normal. The only thing that's really bad is the stigma. So, don't let that ruin that.
Hi! In another video you said herpes can appear as paper cuts that are tender and sensitive. If they aren't painful in anyway, does it most likely mean it's not herpes?
