    Accord working more as a series hybrid is clever but it also means bigger battires or bigger battery replacement costs. After factoring which the mileage advantage would become questionable.

      But those batteries last a looooong time.

    TOYOTA FACTS
    1. Toyota Motor Corporation started in 1937 as a division of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works. While the Toyota Group is now best known for its cars, they are still in the textile business as well.
    2. The founder of Toyota Motor Corporation actually spells his name T-O-Y-O-D-A. Kiichiro Toyoda, to be exact. The spelling of the company name was changed to Toyota because when it is written in Katakana (a Japanese script) it only takes 8 strokes to write, and 8 is a lucky number in East Asian culture.
    3. Kiichiro Toyoda, son of the founder of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works, got ideas for the first Toyota cars from the United States. He traveled to the US in 1929 to investigate automobile production because Japan needed to start producing domestic vehicles due to their war with China. Early Toyota’s bear a striking resemblance to the Dodge Power Wagon and Chevrolet.
    4. Even though Toyota started in Japan, the company has created more than 365,000 jobs in the United States.
    5. The Korean War saved Toyota. The company was on the verge of bankruptcy, and produced only 300 trucks in June of 1950. In the first few months of the Korean War, the US ordered more than 5,000 vehicles from Toyota, and the company was revived.
    6. Toyota first came to America in 1957.
    7. In the year 2011, Toyota was ranked as the third largest car manufacturer in the world, behind General Motors and Volkswagen Group.
    8. Toyota is the world’s leading manufacturer of hybrid vehicles, and there are more than 1,700,000 Toyota hybrids on the road right now.
    9. Toyota invests $1 million dollars every hour in research and development worldwide. They do this in pursuit of building better and safe cars.
    10. Eighty percent of Toyotas sold 20 years ago are still on the road today!

    The all new Camry which has come which has come in the USA and MIDDLE EAST is far better looking and brings in additional features at almost the small price than this model and if assembled locally could give a huge advantage to the Camry and let's not forget the Toyota reliability!

      Brother but engine performance
      German engines are the best

    • @M-DIY
      @M-DIY 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      German cars and reliability?? Lol. They are most unreliable cars! Porsche is good car though, but BMW, Mercedes, Skoda and Audi are worst!!! They are the best in performance, but they don't last. I don't buy any car that has air suspension, coil springs are best, similarly there are other flaws as well.
      Cars like Lexus, Toyota, Honda, Suzuki are the most reliable cars. They may not be the best, buy they won't drain your wallet.
      Electronics are worst in German cars and sadly Germans overuse electronics for every simple purpose. Japanese design cars to be as simple as possible with least amount of parts while Germans are exact opposite. A Japanese can do a hundred things from a single object while a German can do a single thing from a hundred objects.
      Yes Germans are best in machinery, like Bosch power tools, but mostly German products are overpriced for their relative quality and purpose.

      Agree with you man. But all I am saying is that every car here is overpriced. Range Rover Evoque is starting from $300k. Only small compact cars are lil but affordable. Civic 2016 is starting from $23k for non turbo and over $30k for turbo version. And the build quality of these locally assembled cars are just pure garbage.

    • @coolguytt2876
      @coolguytt2876 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You don't buy imported cars in dollars, do you? Wtf i think Evoque would cost around $85k if my calculations are right and as Land rover is owned by an indian company, the prices have reduced significantly.

  • @anoopadv

    HOnda at more than 8-9 lakhs , well It sucks, as far as maintenance costs, Toyota may cost a little more than your WAGON-R to maintain, Honda parts costs a bomb (N-BOMB), add to that the intrest rates of 12 % ,, well you have to be brain dead to buy a HONDA anyway.
    Maybe the lady doing the review bought a HONDA and is trying to promot it because it is going to be a failure in market. Toyota sells in India, because people can afford to run it, IN fact for a long time. Honda just has a name. I would prefer a Corolla diesel and it costs much less.
