I bought a big easy from a guy that loves it but no longer had room after moving. It's been on storage for over a year. After watching these videos I'm gonna take it out and give it a try. Wings and whole chickens are what I mainly plan to try. Thanks for the vid
Wrote this after reading other peoples comments. Food Standard Agency advises not to wash raw chicken as it contains a harmful bacteria that spreads onto other things when washed. As for seasoning before or after that is ones own preference. I am certainly going to give this method a try though. Loved your video. Please did you use low or high heat settings.
Lesley Evans the post seasoning was to recreate a restaurant style wing. They usually don’t preseason. I believe there is only one heat setting on the big easy, it gets pretty hot, but the heat is indirect.
The Intrepid Angler: Thank you for replying we recently bought the big easy here in Cyprus in the Mediterranean and love it. We have a heat setting from low to high. 45mins seemed high as I have cooked a whole chicken in a hour. Pork ribs are especially nice. Cook on low for 30 mins then wrap in foil and cook for another 30mins on high. If you want any more info let me know. Kind regards Lesley
Everyone, I used to work in a meat processing plant...you REALLY, REALLY want to wash your meat before you cook it, especially poultry....I will spare you the stories.
I know this is an old comment but now they say to NOT wash the chicken first because you can spread around pathogens as the water splashes. It's better to just cook it to temperature and let the heat kill anything that's on it.
That seasoning line is top notch... If i didn't season my meat before the Big easy, my family would disown me, so I may try have seasoning before and half after.
I just picked up a new same model 'The Big Easy' at Goodwill for $15. Can't wait to use it tonight. Going to start with a garlic butter injected chicken. Will do your chicken wings while watching the upcoming playoffs.
Every thing I have seen so for is guys install a n extra tray like you used and maybe place a little lower and then puts their meat on each rack. But looks like yours came out good so that is good for you and great eating A+A+A+A+
Great video just love it hint I teach classroom classes a tripod will be a really low cost life saver for you would like to see your spin on tri tip coodose out however you said great job ha ha content back
I agree....see lots of cooks never wash their meat before cooking it....I worked at a chicken processing plant back in the 90's ... I have seen lots of chicken hit the floor...
Never washed chicken in my life, not anyone I know, and no one has ever gotten sick. Evidently you and lots of people here are too stupid to understand what heat does to bacteria
I've done it both ways, and they each come out well. I think brining the wings before cooking will give a better flavor. Heavy seasoning will burn during the air-frying process, especially if there is any sugar in the rub.

Pro tip, coat them in vegetable oil or mayo for it to brown up more. I have done both and ones with oil come out a lot better
So you can’t adjust the gas flow ? It’s just on and off? Appreciate it
It's just one setting, on or off. Heat dissipates evenly.
Yes, this is true. Your only controls are turn on the propane gas, turn on the Big Easy, last thing click the ignition switch.
@8:38 min. Do you want to try some mister? Noooo!
Brother I fell off my chair. So funny. Good family memories. Enjoy. Good wing recipe btw!

Larry Chase yea, but not with Soap!! 🤪😂

Absolutely super correct. Bacteria grows like wildfire in poultry.
Enjoyed watching, good Dad🤟😎

Great video quality what did you use to shoot this?

That's a great deal! Enjoy the cooking :)
Use that thing for everything, Brother. Beast way to cook.... Anything. Roast those vegetables as well. I quit using my grill.
🤔no seasoning at all bro?
Hold up... did you wash the chicken?
Every thing I have seen so for is guys install a n extra tray like you used and maybe place a little lower and then puts their meat on each rack. But looks like yours came out good so that is good for you and great eating A+A+A+A+
Those racks can be hung lower (anywhere) in the basket, FYI.
What???season after you cook!! Never, always before
Just shutbup. Good grief
i'am going just have a salad with, lettuce, tomato's, onions, bacon bits, and blue cheese
What was the temp setting at?
On the Big Easy you only have one temp. And that is high.
Great video just love it hint I teach classroom classes a tripod will be a really low cost life saver for you would like to see your spin on tri tip coodose out however you said great job ha ha content back
Better turn out with the covered lid .
Ah man. No close-ups. Not one. Thanks for sharing tho

You do when you are responsible for making the turkey. I just got one.

I got a copper top smoker for our anniversary, she said now go smoke some meat. Love my wife!
No spices?
HE'S SEASONING THEM AFTER. HE SAID THAT
Larry Chase is right. See below. He beat me to it. Then, Brock F. ps-I stole your tackle box from jaiden.
You should always wash chicken before cooking it js
Lol. Shut up. Don't be an idiot.
It looks easy.... please wash and clean your meat before cooking it
Lol. Shut up

I agree....see lots of cooks never wash their meat before cooking it....I worked at a chicken processing plant back in the 90's ... I have seen lots of chicken hit the floor...
Omg! I was thinking the same thing. Lol

Wash Meat, Season Meat... Then Fry Meat.
Brown Myers no need to wash chicken, in fact it’s dangerous too. CDC warns against it
How you don’t wash the chicken 1st?😂

Those poor children
Never washed chicken in my life, not anyone I know, and no one has ever gotten sick. Evidently you and lots of people here are too stupid to understand what heat does to bacteria
40 wings for $10,... $5000 emergency room visit, for not washing them, smh
Moron
You gotta wash your meat!!!!
Ahhhhhh! R u gonna wash the 🐔 1st........thumbs down...😱🤢
Why
For food safety I would have at least rinsed the wings
Lol. Yeah, because heat doesn't kill bacteria 😂
No wash or season…I guess 😮
Next time wash your meat, good habit. But that's none of my business. 😁
Then stop actingike it's your business like every other moron in this comment section who can't seem to figure out that heat kills bacteria
Nasty 🤢
One more reason NOT to have kids !!
rear view I know right! Having to feed them and everything gets so old!
Why wouldn’t you season the wing before you cook them
I've done it both ways, and they each come out well. I think brining the wings before cooking will give a better flavor. Heavy seasoning will burn during the air-frying process, especially if there is any sugar in the rub.
@@darrellm.9622 And he damn sure is eating GOOD! Well, maybe good...A LOT, for sure!
