    I watch a video on this pump on a channel where the person is from a different country and he's very careful about unplugging, unclamping, tying off hoses and all that, then I find this one, and my guy from the US is all "pfft electricity, just leave it plugged in and running and stick your hand right in there, no problem". It's those little things that tell you that's your people :)

    • @netby
      @netby 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol....in my country the tension of electricity is 220 volts not 110....I lived in Brasil for a while where the tension is also 110 V and my uncle could hold an nude electric wire in his hand ..without getting electrocuted...

      In Canada we have 120v 60Hz same with the USA. It can kill you but usually won't. There's different conditions that will make it lethal.

      You shouldn't just plug the two hoses a lot of pools give you plugs to come with them don't let the pump run without water like that

    Thank you very much for this useful video. My filter was clean (only two days old) but I wasn’t getting a good flow. Followed your advice on letting the air escape from the pump and it’s working perfect! I appreciate you, my dude.

    The unit heats up fast and is super quiet. It looks fancy th-cam.com/users/postUgkxl8Od2BvnGbn1ffwqsuFXW0QnmcZgMiVY and can be kept in the living room. It gets hot within a split second of turning on the unit. The build quality is exceptionally good and is safe to be around kids and pets. This one is super quiet and can be kept on while in office meetings, my wife loved it. It shows the temperature right on the unit which is very useful and adding a rotating feature helps to heat up the surrounding, so other people will not fight with you for heat. It is right as described in the description..!! Definitely recommend!!

    I live in the Philippines and buying the pump (3x import duty) has been costly. After 3 days of following instructions and other tips - this was the ONLY way I got the pump to start flowing properly. 100/10 my friend. You’re a life saver!❤️😁

    I got the the 10 x30 version of this pool and with the smaller filter and you're right these do get gunked up quick, I like the holding the pump up higher than the water trick, this will save me the time of going through the ritual ofdissconnecting the skimmer and return heads, inserting the plugs, I wish the smaller version had valves. But you can give them a good spray with the garden hose, takes about 5 minuets to get it really clean and re use it, that'll save a bit of money, otherwise I'd be changing mine twice a week, the gunk up so fast.

  • @itspoffy
    @itspoffy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Haven't executed yet. but I think you just saved a pool from being tossed. We had one before where the pump quit after about 2 weeks or less. Some stray cat damaged the air filled top so we tossed it. Ended up getting another one and the pump quick again. I think you nailed it. So glad I searched. Saved the day man.

  • @treyabolicum

    Little trick if you don't have a new one available just at that time you need it: use a pressure cleaner or a garden hose and wash it out, they can be cleaned to a certain degree. Use that option if your water desperately needs circulation. Thanks for the video, i didn't know they where that cheap on ebay.

    • @treyabolicum
      @treyabolicum หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@deepthoughtaffirmations Is the water super old? Cant really think of anything other than your vent maybe being clogged, that is if you didnt use the plastic cover for the part that sucks in the water.If none of that is applicable, maybe check for your alignment-happened to me once that i connected them the opposite way, meaning it would have less skimming, which in turn ended up not having the succion needed.A pressure hose or pressing your thumb against the hose with no cover did it, just do it along the slats!

    THANK GOD FOR YOU BRIAN EALY! We just got our pool for covid 19. I had cleaned the filter once but didn't realize I needed to clean it once a week even though we skim, vacuum and don't see much in the pool. I guess the filter sees what we don't see. I still want to get a larger pump like yours or the next size up but on any website, pool store ect. they have nothing for 3 months. It all comes from China and they are manufacturing other things......like medicine we need for Covid. Thanks again, I am so glad I literally stumbled on your website. The filter is bubbling as I write this. Thanks Michael Marcinkwicz, Phoenix AZ

      Thanks man... I eventually upgraded to a super nice intex sand filter that cost about $150. It cost a lot, but pumped about 10 times as hard and needed just seasonal maintenance. I got so pissed about those junk small filters.... they are garbage. It got to the point - that every day it stopped working... I wish you better luck. Thanks man, take care! (Btw the jet shooting back into the pool shoots so hard you can feel it from the opposite side)

    • @mmmike150
      @mmmike150 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrianEaly Brian, I definitely from the beginning realized I'd need a bigger filter. I started looking on-line. Everyone appears to be out of anything larger.
      I went to Leslie Pools a chain and they said 4 weeks ago we could have helped out but not it will be 3 to 4 months!. He said the supply chain has been severely affected by the covid virus. I have several in carts on line waiting to be notified when they are back in stock. I like the sound of the sand filter you have that shoots the water to the otherside of the pool. That sounds great. Can you tell me which model that is and you think sand filter is better than cartridge?
      Thanks Mike.

    Hello Brian,
    That's exactly the trick I did a few days ago, and I hadn't even seen your video ! pb is, the pumping is quite satisfactory for an hour and progressively the flow gets sluggish again... maybe there's a leaking of air through the cover of the pump; I don't know

    Put the dirty filter in a bucket filled with warm water and two spoons of sodium bicarbonate , 2 spoons of vinegar ( cleaning white vinegar or wine vinegar) let it soak for a few hours( in my case 2 hours are enough..) and in the end wash it with some dish detergent bleach under the faucet flow and it will be as good as new.....alternatively a jet washer will do trick also.....

    Thanks for this video! It solved my issue instantly!!! I am new to the pool world .. and I have an intex 18 x 48, with this exact pump. It had started to slow down and I was wondering why. I had back washed the filter once already, but now (literally just now) I went outside to completely change it. I’ve had the pool less than a month and I’m loving it so much. If I may ask, what brand do you recommend for pool shock? I heard the one by Clorox and spa from Walmart is great for vinly pools, but I can’t find it anywhere. Any recommendations? :)

I have to say I love my Brstway pool, but the pump and filter assembly is a weak point because I think I’m going to be going through one of these filters a week, which feels so wasteful. I have a question can I leave this pump running 24/7 or will that mess up my pump

      Let it run. Run it 24/7. It will usually clog after 2-4 weeks. At that time you can change or rinse out the filter. Thanks for watching, take care!

    I believe water got into my plug. I’m drying it out. However, would you know why my pump started running in reverse? I just cleaned the filter and plugged it up, and it was sucking water through the exhaust and pushing water out the intake.
