    Thank you for saving me money! Precisely the same issue with our intex sand pump. Damn Intex for the triangle screws. Had to spend 15 bucks at wally world to buy one. After repairs i put the plug under a plastic bucket on concrete to keep it dry. You rock, Lady!

    omg!! this video was a life saver. we left the plug out in the weather all winter but after watching this video, I took it all the way apart and dried it out and within a hour or so it was back working. if it doesn't work the first time you might have to keep repeat a few times.

    Worked like a charm eventhough I have a different setup (summer waves motor and filter. Left mines out in the Maine winter! Took plug apart and cleaned all rust corrosion etc. There was also a diode broken off when I opened it. Fixed that and screwed everything back together. Took about 15 tries to get thstvreset button to stay engaged but it worked!!! THEN the wife reminds me of a pump filter setup she bought from a surplus store here in Maine (Mardens) ... I was like ):(. Smh. After all my MAN WORK!!! It looks more like yours. It might can be adapted but tks 4 the vid!!! Excellent work and clarity with no long drawn out stories about your dog!! U got to the point. August is saved!!!

    Just saved me a huge headache! My pump stopped working and I saw this video and sure enough there was water inside the plug. I used paper towels and a blow dryer, put it back together and it worked! Thanks!

      You and the lady who identified the car and not the elevator as the fix for the Little People Garage play set are my heroes! Thanks for sharing in the true sense and going out of your way to make this video. Mine worked with just a little cleaning but I wouldn’t have attempted to fix it before coffee if your video hadn’t explained the procedure so precisely. Thank you!!

    You know what, you are so right! I noticed every time mine got wet it stopped working. These pools are such a pain in the ass, from the pump to the liner leaking water. I've had my fill with these issues and they will drive you nuts! Tomorrow I'm going to come up with an idea to put that plug inside a container to keep it 100% dry at all times. Just got done patching the bottom of the liner after I lost a good 6-8 inches of water over night due to a leak.

    • @JohannaParrishParrish_Place
      @JohannaParrishParrish_Place  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey I know how it can be with leaks. Usually every year I was able to ( until I had a baby) supervised the dissassebly aka draining and puting away of the pool. The one year I didn't it got holes on the bottom liner which I didn't find until dissassebly the following summer. Now I know I have all the holes patched because I'm not lossing any water. But the ring can be a pain to find the holes for repair, but I found those too.

    Finally got my pool cleaned. Dis assembled the motor housing and everything worked fine. Vacuumed, skimmed, scrubbed, poor in the shock and now the pump doesn't want to turn on. I swear if ain't one thing it's another. Trying this out for sure now

    Thank you! My Intex sand filter pump worked yesterday (the first time we used it) today it didn’t. Called the Intex 800 # . They called me back over 4 hours later - A young girl who said it would take 7-10 days to send me a new pump once I sent them a copy of my receipt. I asked her what the heck I was supposed to do with 14000 gallons of water during that time.

      That is the problem with these pump. Once the plug get wet it stops working. I had a similar issue so I unscrewed it, blow dry the plug and it worked. This happened twice and that when I realize that the plug can’t get wet. I left mine out and it rained. That’s how mine got wet.

    IT WAS THE PLUG!!! 😂 You saved me from throwing mines out and getting a new pump. I had taken apart the pump motor and it looked good, i put it back together and was going to give up until i ran into your video. The adapter had water in it. I cleaned the rusty contacts, dried it and it worked again. Thank you! 🙌

      Im not sure, if your motor is seized up inside the pump theres really nothing you can do about it. My original pump that came with this pool lasted us for maybe 6 summers then the motor inside the pump seized up and wouldn't work anyore. Thats why i had to buy this new one in 2019. And it still works in 2021
