So sad to read that I won't be able to see Colonel Thompson along side His Majesty the King and the Royal family . Devorcee, retired, my children far away, I had much pleasure watching such a well built and well behaved man .I do hope we could have some news sometimes .

I will post a new video soon, as we have seen him twice more in a week with the King, but not in his Scottish uniform, in a suit and tie, and today in a top hat and tails at Royal Ascot. Not as many appearances, video footage or photos of Lt.Col.Thompson, but if I spot him, I will do my best to capture it and update everyone. Yes, he is mainly working behind the scenes now, but this year we saw him at Church at Easter, in May at Windsor at the Horse Show, briefly at Trooping the Colour, Leaving Clarence House with the King for an event, and a few pap shots off duty. So he can still be seen occasionally, not like before, and not in uniform, but however and whenever, it's always a pleasure to see Jonny. But we do miss him at the King's side during engagements. ❤💙💐
Oh, I agree, but I'm rather sad if he has left the Army as he loved it so much, trained highly for it, and was a born Officer. Also he did look good in uniform! But I guess time moves on, and he had to make a choice? I'm sure the King didn't want to lose him from his household, and the Royal Regiment of Scotland got positive publicity out of him being at the King's side for that period from 2022-23 especially. The other Regiments and Services needed a look in, but the Royal Navy uniform of the new Equerry is not a patch on Jonny’s, which was so distinctive. You could always easily spot him. 😎🥰🏴

I watched the Commonwealth Service today, and his presence was missed so much! I still think about him, and am finding it hard to believe we will probably never see Jonny again. The only comfort is knowing he is happy in life, and it's what he wanted.
Felt the same! Ollie looked ok though. I don't know if it was wishful thinking but I am sure Jonny announced for a new equerry,who seemed rooted to the floor, bless him, the other evening.

@@sueharvey6603 Hi Sue, been upset all week with the vile trolling of poor Catherine & William in America. A devoted husband & Father has been trashed because of disgusting lies and fake gossip. So unfair! 🙄😒 I also was annoyed to see a silly woman go right up to Queen Camilla at Cheltenham Races demanding a selfie! Where was the Protection? It would never have happened under Jonny’s watch. Standards have fallen on that front, I'm afraid. Still stupid newspaper articles falsely repeating that he switched roles "because he didn’t like the attention" (like they used to repeat endlessly he was "happily married with a son and 2 dogs" when he'd long removed his wedding ring and was separated, then in another relationship.) And the reason he requested to switch roles was so he could spend more time with his son now he's of an age when he needs his Father. But still hopelessly smitten and day dreaming about him! 💕💕 How are things with you? xx
Well, I miss him really. You know just as you say, noon e does that job quite like him or so beautifully. I do not know what the press were playing at, unless they.were asked to behave so. Knocked his reputation a bit.too. How the h ell did we survive without PR or influencers- whatever they do!?

You could always spot Jonny next to the King because his uniform was so distinctive and looked fantastic! 💙 The new Equerry is called Tom from the Royal Navy, so a very plain uniform in comparison. He is also tall, but with fair hair, not as impressive a figure. Sadly Equerries have a tenure of 3 years before they have to be replaced by an Officer from another Service, so all the Armed Forces have their turn to shine next to the Sovereign. But no other Officer could ever replace Jonny in our hearts, who really gave the Royal Regiment of Scotland a huge boost of admiration around the world. 🏴🥰❤💚
