for the cake :
semi sweet dark chocolate 100g
unsalted butter 100g
sugar 1/3 cup
flour (maida) 1+1/2 cup
cocoa powder 2 tbsp
baking powder 1 tsp
warm milk 1/2 cup
vanilla extract 1/2 tsp
for the whipped cream :
whipping cream 200ml
powdered sugar 1/4 cup
for the chocolate mixture :
semi sweet dark chocolate 100g
milk (hot) 1/3 cup
some sprinkles on top - optional
** baking tray 10x5 inch***
** baking time : bake preheated oven 180c for 250- 30 minutes**
** CUP SIZE : FULL CUP 250ML | HALF CUP 125ml | 1/3 CUP 80ML | 1/4 CUP 60ML | 1 TBSP 15ML | 1/2 TBSP 7.5ML | 1 TSP 5 ML | 1/2 TSP 2.5ML ! **

i’ve tried this,i ended up making 3 boxes,they taste so good,tips: i don’t add any sugars anymore to the wipping cream, coz they are sweet enough, if you are still hesitating you should really go and try it, thx for the recipe, certified bussin

My mother and I make a version of this, it’s called Mississippi Mud Pie, but it’s a cake! Ours has a layer of marshmallow fluff, and we put pecans in the chocolate frosting! ... it’s a brownie like rich cake that’s a chocolate lover’s dream😋 . . . I’m over my asthma attack and feeling better ... here’s the recipe: hit “Read more” and it will come up💞 I will return to tag those that reached out to me, and I want to thank Spicy Bites very much😘
MISSISSIPPI MUD/FUDGE CAKE
Melt together :
2 sticks of butter or margarine
1/2 cup cocoa
Combine in your mixing bowl :
2 cups of sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups of flour
pinch of salt
Mix well and add in the cocoa and melted butter ... then mix well again!
Add 1 cup of pecans to this mixture ... Grease a 9x11 rectangular glass dish ( If you’re using metal, coat with flour )
Bake at 325* degrees ... while cake is still hot add mini marshmallows OR marshmallow fluff for a thinner layer
ICING :
Melt 1 stick of butter or margarine ... then add
1/3 cup of milk
1teaspoon of vanilla
1/3 cup cocoa
I box powdered sugar or 16 ounces = to 453 grams
Mix well and add 1 cup of chopped pecans, mix again before pouring over marshmallows
Allow the icing to set before cutting ... ( if you live in a high altitude ... add 2 heaping Tablespoons of flour to the cake! )
We have made this for decades and it’s always a favorite ... I hope you enjoy it as well💕
