My Safety rating went down just watching this video... in iRacing
complete correct.... i was thinking the same... he is talking about something he is not doing, not even close to it... BE safe.. as he ram others. Be consistent as he got a lap with more 5 seconds than the other and cuts a corner.. Super GT u realize Akamatsu was not talking about the skill of the others drivers, but your own skill to avoid others... :)

Just wanted to share with you this story:
Yesterday (Monday) when you were streaming Gt Sport‘s daily races I was playing GT Sport as well and when I was joining the 10:00 pm Daily Race C I saw you were in this lobby too. The race was pretty intense, I was battling with the guys in the lead and had the chance to win (it was really high level racing) but on lap 8/9 (by the time you were in 9th position) when preparing for an overtake I bottled it and went off into the gravel in the turn before the back straight. When I finished an disappointing 11th (started 5th) I went into your stream and looked back at the images of the ominous lap 8: By the time you passed me you said: „Oh, someone has bottled it, someone went wide and we‘re up into 8th!“ I was a little bit ashamed but nevertheless it was an exciting experience! Also I was happy that you liked the race as well.

@@187alan I just dont belive in this "all because other players do x i cant climb/win" theory. In a mulitplayer game with serveral random players you are the only constant, you probably wont meet them again, so dont worry about what others do, work on your own mistakes (which im sure everyone does) and you will climb. You only have to make sure to recognize them and not choose the easy way of blaming other things

The last time I saw a hacker in a racing game was Mario Kart Wii haha. Brings back good memories when I was an 8 year old and got a kick out of that stuff.

I remember getting matched with hackers in Mario Kart Wii. I eventually homebrew’d my Wii to hack Online and met a hacker in the same lobby. It was a Crazy Experience.

I’ve never been into racing but somehow Super GT has taught me enough to get into Forza Motorsport and be moderately good at it. The madman has turned me into a Motorsport fan and I found myself calling people bottlejobs while watching the Bathurst and Daytona Endurance races.

I think what I like about the lower rank lobbies like E and whatnot is the diversity of the lineup. You'll see pretty much every car in the class out there.

So I'm looking into getting a copy of GT Sport... But I have a few questions about the game itself.
Is the matchmaking system skill-based or win/loss oriented?
Is the control scheme sensitive for what it is? (Came from forza Motorsport, and I'm really touchy about Controller sensitivity; trigger pressure, steering axis ratios, etc.)
And is the player base still kicking or is it a dying game?

What is the best camera in loper lobby’s and how do I chose a good break setup?
The best camera is whatever you prefer. For brakes, if you mean tuning the brakes then there is no tuning. If you mean brake bias, typically go forward on MR cars and back on FR cars.

6:06 I been stuck in Rating D, S for 2 weeks now. It looks like as soon as you hit Sportsman's ranking S people know how to drive fast but not how to rank up. Well not sure how fast they are. I shared a race in GT Sport today, if you search for MrSunrock you might find it, if you want to confirm the lap speeds.

The struggle is real. Been trying to get out if the D lobbies for over a year now.
I find the qualifications a wreckfest. I also blame alot onto PD's penalty system. For example last weekends Monza GR3 race. I was coming out of the Ascari chicane when the Corvette in front of me looses the rear and the guy Tbones me on my right side as i steer left to avoid him, he then bounces off me and into the barrier on the right hand side of the track. I get a SR drop and a 3 second penalty. He gets sod all. He comes off as the victim here. Wtf is that all about! The penalty system is not full proof.

I don't race a huge amount, but I'd managed to get up to C C. I then had a few races where dickheads kept ramming into me (I also ragequit once) and ended up down at D E. The job is now on to climb back up and it's harder the lower down you are because of other arseholes. I've only just bought a steering wheel for it, so I need to get good at that too which makes it even harder.

I wish people would race properly. Theres always a guy tryna wipe you out.
And theres always a guy with a tune thats totally unrealistic in everyway. i wish people would try there best to follow racing lines and just try have clean safe races. Safe meaning, no bunping into each other, atleast trying to make it appear your racing, and not mucking around.

I plau forza 7 all the time. I try find v8 supercar lobbys or lobbys with the same car class but i just get left behind as if im racing against x class. Its really annoying because the tunes kinda mess it all up. My car had the same Kw and everything as another guy, but by the time i hit 3rd gear down the sttaight, hes already braking into the next corner. Idk how theu are so fast.
Racing is only fair when you have equal cars, this way thus prooves whos a better driver. Because 2 cars are thr same speed doesntmean one cant win..... It makes it more challenging, you haveto follow race lines bevause if you loose a position, you have to fight for it back. And push hard. All this bullshit s class civic vs a s class ferrari. Of course the ferrari wins... I hate the tune out on these games. They arent limited enough. Ruins the vibe. In open lobby its fine but yeah.
They should have made the lobby options as car racing series... , For example. V8 supercars australia lobby.
Nascar lobby. F1 lobby. Indycar lobby, prototype lobby ect. Rather than ONLY just vehical classes
I think it's some kind of bug due the bad Internet. I think, he was no longer online from 1:02. I had something similar, though, a long time ago, in 2008-09 and in the game rfactor. I just disconnected from the game due connection problem, but my brother says I'm still in the game and my car still going! And then, when I reconnected, there were 2 of me on server. That second car showed time in Brazil 1:03 (mod rft 2008) and I remember that everyone calling me a cheater! What a fun time it was, 2008 year, Jesus Christ...
My DR is terrible (because I am), but I am working my way up in SR, with the logic being that hopefully i get to less reckless lobbies.
The first few turns are always a crashfest, and I find that, having qualified in the middle of the pack, there really is no safe bet.
The biggest issue I see there is that you can't see T1 braking points in warm up mode, since everyone has a low speed, coming out of the pits. However, in T2/3 (depending on the circuit, obviously), you can get an idea of where the guys brake, and which cars overcook it, which does help a little bit before the first lap.
The big thing in the lower lobbies is that the majority of players are either ONLY driving the track, or ONLY driving the guy ahead (which inevitably results in someone getting speared).
I have a question, i drive now about 2 weeks gts. I cant improove my dr to a, i m stuck in the dr 27000-28000 points. I am driving on a Joystick. Have you some advice? Should i buy a wheel?
I had 4 accounts now and can't seem to escape from the B rating category. I fly through E,D, C and into B with about 15.000 to 18.000 points and every time i come into a daily race with nitwits. I think they should be in your Clan R4M, because these are the only things they do. and every time I drop again in the C ratings with a SR of A or even B. How do you escape this B (I think I can drive because I am B but don't now what a break is) category? It is so frustrating to start all over again with a new account and thinking 'this time it will be different because I will keep my head down' and then some nitwit is flying in the first turn like he is in a bowling arena and needs to hit as many cars as possible. SO frustrating and several times I wanted to stop with GT sports. Any tips maybe??? thanks.

No offense, but I was always insecure on how I drive on sims because I don't always take my corners perfectly (perfect outside-inside-outside, lots of times I'll let go of the throttle because I didnt brake enough) and stayed away from online due to that, seeing how people race online, I guess it's not THAT bad.
I had an S Driving Rating, but like a D Racing Rating lol. Which just meant yeah, I'll have clean races but mostly because everyone is insanely way ahead of me, so I can't even hit anyone lol. Then I just went back to the game in Dec, after not being able to play for a few months, and like ALL my ratings got put to the lowest rating. So now I'm fighting to claw my way out of rammers lol.
As a low level racer myself (D,S rating), I can't tell you how many times I unintentionally caused pile ups with my early breaking. In some cases I get punted off the entire track. The worst part is that I'm not aware my breaking point is early until I hear the squealing of tires behind me, indicating that other drivers are nearly killing themselves not to make contact with me. But I'm no fool; If it is overwhelmingly clear that the drivers behind me are better and faster, I don't even bother defending and just let them go.

I don't really play GT Sport "online" but this helps.(I don't play any other racing games except for GT Sport.)
What annoys me is when better rated drivers than me, but with S sportsmanship like me, accuse you of things you haven't done. One guy today in a lobby decided to turn into me into a corner, saying afterwards I dive bombed him. I was right along side the dick. Next corner he doesnt bother to brake and rams me off. Wtf is with these idiots? Does reporting them actually work ?
even when I am in a B/S rated lobby these things happen....I always try to drive clean. can even wait for 3 laps behind somebody for him to make a mistake and then I overtake and what is happening....the first corner that is coming up he rams me off the circuit....So frustrating
Chase cam in Gran Turismo is pretty bad. Why did they make it so stiff?
Also from looking at the footage of the first car it seemed like the game put him slightly off the position he's supposed to have, so on his screen he was still on the track but for everybody else it looked like he was beside it. Dunno why he was quicker though.
