English usage as a second language always impresses me, great job!
I was thinking the same thing. Clearly they spent time grappling and learning with their English. Not easy as adults. Multiple thumbs up!!! Thanks
@@MrRustyjackson You're American right? They start learning English in school at like 5 in Germany. No less impressive by the way, as a Brit our European cousins put us to shame in having a second language, but most of them learn as small children not adults!
LED raking light on the corded sanders and LED light on the bigger routers would be a much welcomed change! Congrats on 100yrs!
Wow, 21 minutes full of big words for very little actual output. A facelifted vac, yet another cordless sander and newly packaged saw blades and c*ndoms for wheels - that is extremely anticlimactic for "100 years of innovation". Meanwhile a whole bunch of unique tools that set Festool apart have been discontinued in the last few years (LS 130, Vac Sys, etc.).
The light at the horizon is the fact that it's just Q1, maybe there is still hope for much requested items like a cordless planer or cordless trim router that would really make a difference...
I'm hoping the vacuum clamping system returns at some point. There's just nothing else out there for the small shop.
There is an offering from a small company called Kuros Tools that might be worth looking at. The system is called VACPAD and looks similar to the Festool. It has the interchangeable heads and whatnot.
Front wheels on the Vac need to be large enough to easily drive over an extension cord, so far no go
Congratulations to everyone at Festool on 100years! Can't wait to see and try all the new things you will develop
Thanks for making this detailed video in english! Looking forward to those sanders especially
💚
So the new CT's don't have the outboard HEPA filter change out tray like in the MIDI? Why? For the 100 year anniversary I would expect a lot more than just LED lights and basically showing off what already exists on the current offerings. Oof. What am I missing? Feels more like an incremental update at best. I guess this doesn't surprise me as the competition out there is getting better and better. I don't know if Festool's slow progression is really built for the changing times. Just wait, I think, China is going to soon surpass much of this stuff.
That sander is going to be a game changer!
Please stop this arty-farty production technique of not looking directly into the camera. Training rule 101 - look at the audience. Same goes for your UK trainers videos.
Looking out the window 😂
plz stop making some of your things in china make them only in euro. if not we stop buyning it...
And the more they make in China the more likely they will be out competed once China decides to truly offer the same product for less. Just like they did in the bicycle industry. The lesson hasn't been learned at all.
If Festool uses China, I am not interested in the product. Jn. 3:36
Donald is that you?! 😂 lol
Thats why we have Mafell Tools like no other
You cannot afford festool made in eu
@@Z-addWe cannot afford tools made in China for that price
I really appreciate this video and I am happy to be a Festool user in 2025!
I was planning on buying my first Festool dust extractor soon. I’m in Canada so I guess I’ll wait until the new models become available. Will the Kapex 120 get updated or go on sale anytime soon in Canada?
Sander looks amazing, I will definitely be buying the moment it reaches the states. But i do wish one of the bigger dust extractors had a cordless option, but i do understand not going that route.
When will you have a cordless router?
Never
That’s lame
That is something myself and others would no doubt be interested in. Who knows if it will ever happen. Jn.3:36.
We are working on it. Keep following our channel and don't miss any news
Sweet
Also; where did the fleece bags for the CT 22 go? Will there be another production run? It's awesome the machines already lives that long, but being able to buy the good bags for it is kinda essential too.
Please provide the very short list of which of these products actually available in the USA and Canada. Usually, only about one third such products ever make it here.
Why make the announcement in English if planning to not release all of the tools and equipment announced in NA?
@@geekonomist Because English is also spoken in England - where the products are available.
@ not a reason to force 3-4 German employees to struggle with their English. England is literally half the size of Germany for Festool products. More French speaking Festool fans than Blighty borne. If they are doing English then they should release in NA. Otherwise German with subtitles is sufficient for Europe.
I think we get the hat.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to provide any information on this. Product launches in North America depend on many factors such as certifications, customs duties etc.. For detailed information, please follow www.youtube.com/@festoolusa
Congratulations on 100 years, very nice tools, I have quite a few, but I do have a lot of Mafell very very nice Tools,
Many years ago, I built a very large MFT table work as assembly bench vacuum table , I got the aluminium track that used to be used by Festool, as I’m now looking to build another table slightly smaller than what I had before, but now I found out that the aluminium track is no longer available, though it is very expensive,
still missing battery operated planner, router, chopsaw size of KS120 (KSC60 is a joke) and many more, where is your innovative??? all competitors are far far away
What exactly has been improved on Auto Clean? I see the filter is still in the same place, the intake is still in the same place. The tub is the same shape and size. Enlighten us please.
The geometry of the fan has been improved. This makes the AUTOClean more efficient.
@@FestoolINT What fan? The main turbine? Yet volume and pressure are still the same?
Did you fix the logic in the new CT's? So the D 27-BSD doesn't drop to the floor when, after having manually turned on the vac, your wired drill (connected to the CT) is turned on and off and the vac switches off?
It would be so nice to have that power station in the USA…
Yet another tool they have no reason not to release in NA
I third that. Jn.3:36
Did I miss it? What's the avg run time for the sander?
With the 4.0 Ah battery, you can sand for up to 16 minutes
Are you going to be making more tools in china? If so, I won’t be replacing mine when they need updating…
If anything I buy from festool turns out to be made outside Germany, I'm sending it back.
@ some of the newer stuff is already made in the Czech Republic!! China however is an absolute no no!
No cordless router 😢

I hope this video announces the mains powered CSC SYS 50. Here goes... Oh well, not this time.
Have the new generation of CT dust extractors gotten a power boost? Currently they are 137 CFM but 150 would be more on par with competitors and would make the dust extractor compliant with a 6in/150mm grinder if I understand the OSHA silica requirements correctly.
Exactly my question - it wasn't mentioned so I think it unlikely. Actually just checked, the answer is - No - still the same specification 24kPa and 3,900 l/min.
@@okafka5446 Disappointing as many competitors have been 9%-10% higher performance for a good half a decade now.
@@jronmanbuilds Tell me about it - I've been on quite the journey with dust extractors. Very long story short - first, it's been more like a decade that competitors have had higher performance than Festool.
After a disappointing experience with the fist iteration of the Festool Midi, I ended up with the Starmix iPulse L1635 this has a max volume flow of 4,500 l/min, max vacuum of 28 kPa (remember these figures are calculated at the motor head, not the hose end - Starmix gives you the figures for this + at the hose end),and the surface area of its filters are 8,600 cm squared.
Not sure these are available in the States, the nearest equivalent would be the Metabo or Mafell, both of which are made under license from Starmix. There are more efficient extractors, but they start to get a bit unwieldy for everyday use.
Not dissing Festool, I have one of their auto clean models as well, there are some good features with their design, they just need to catch up in the specification department. If you want to do some research of your own, I'd recommend the Dutch TNO site - they've tested and graded a large amount of different companies extractors, so you can get an insight into the differing efficencies.
The dust extractors have the same suction power as their predecessors, as no changes have been made to the turbine.
@@FestoolINT I see. I'm not really seeing the value here. The prices without remote are more expensive than the old model with bluetooth module and remote included. I might as well get a current model, bluetooth module, and remote to save money. I am getting a better value with the old model.
This is a very flaccid product lineup for your company’s 100 year anniversary.
I’ve been using Festool tools for years and I feel like the company has lost its edge in innovation and to a lesser, but definitely noticeable extent, robustness. Festool in 2025 fees a bit like Apple since the death of Steve Jobs; all about profit maximisation but without the central pillar of innovation that established the company’s selling point to begin with.
My CTL midi is 12 years old this year and I’m going to need an update so I’m really looking forward to the new dust extractors. Probably CTM 36. 👍🏻 good luck to another 100 years.
Thanks for the congratulations and have fun with your new dust extractor!
Looks like it’s batteries from now on. Whether you want them or not.
I just purchased , Festool 578684 Combo Kit PLANEX LHS 2 225/CT 36AC/STF-IP SKU: 578684 , this new combo kit launched by Festool . Not sure if the Dust extractor included in this Kit is new model ? Can anyone confirm as I can still return and buy the new one ..
Jose sounds like ali G as a character bruno 😂
Almost a Bavarian Borat 😂
A low key celebration of 100 years. Just existing tools revamped. Weird idea that 3 different saw blades all need replacement at the same time. How long will that fancy cardboard box last on site?
Dust extractor prices are going to be tough to swallow in this economy when a Ridgid shop vac is $50 at Home Depot…
Yeah like the tiniest thing ever. I wouldn’t go smaller than a 12 gallon which is over $100, not $50
Valve on hose end; it opens when you don't want to. WHYYYY
Please bring a power station to north america.
I still to this day failed to see the reason for a cordless tool while dragging a hose, please make these same renovation to your corded tools.
EDIT: Yes I understand cordless tool have its place, I just want festool does the same upgrade to corded tool as well because it still has its place.
Yea agree I would have preferred to see a brushless compeitor to the mirka deos rather than a cordless sander
I often use my Dewalt cordless sander when I have a short time of sanding on site without needing to mess with a cord or a dust extractor.
It is one cord less. I will take one cord less over having to mess with two cords. Sure you could buy the fancy cord hose combo from Festool or strap your power cable to the hose but whether they are strapped together or not you still have two cords instead of one.
I love having less cords to fuss with
@DarrenMaynes-v1v I am not talking about no hose situation. But you see in video many are used with the vacuum to create "dust-free" environment.

FESTOOL work trouser range maybe ??
We are happy to pass it on to our colleagues :)

@FestoolINT UK Customer here
No battery router, no mains option for the CSC……
Bayonet hose; nobody wanted it. The flew through the hose-end is more restricted than the hose end before the bayonet was introduced. No extraction due to clogged hose (when used with TS, HK etc) is more common than no extraction due to dropped hose.
FINALLY a Power PLug AC/DC for FESTOOL CSC Table Saw Option! ( LOVE this! ) :(
Why are they so expensive you can’t afford to buy them unless you go in depth
Discontinuing proven and unique tools for facelifts, lights and more electronics. It seems festool is more interested in weekend users than people using the tools for living.
A nothing burger. I was amused at how you guys twisted yourself into a pretzel talking about all the “”innovation in the new dust extractors. Way to change the world festool!! I’ll buy your csc sys 50 & the Kapex 60 when you offer a power adapter. Portability is grand but sometimes we want to work in one place & we have an outlet.
Wow, I can’t wait to get hold of a highly desirable black systainer made from recycled drinks bottles or an elegant sweatshirt made of recycled wood fibre. Woketool won’t last another 100 years.
In summary, no real innovation, just a reiteration of the old stuff

I LOVE THAT NEW 18V Battery FESTOOL DOMINO! (GREAT to step up a wireless Domino) ! :)
100 Years of Festool, I bought a Festool dust extraction CTL-SYS Bluetooth Corded version. th-cam.com/video/wJzIInfp9pw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Kjk0pCTtrA1N-Tg6 Due to 4.0AH batteries not lasting for my job on site. :) Happy 100Yrs.
Thank you very much and enjoy your new Dust Extractor!
