Love it, that lake is where i got my still to date PB 10lb 6oz when i was 15yrs old (33 now). My dad, uncles, and myself used to go for a week every year around end of March.
I like that Bill Dance back and forth bass drag you do before landing them, I'm just glad you're not as clumsy as he is. lol. Another thing you two have in common is loving the big "T", the thing is, yours stands for Texas, and his stands for Tennessee!

Going back and binge watching some of your crappie videos helped me catch my first one yesterday. That lil guy went straight to the table to knock the sides off then straight in the grease. When I was 12, I caught an 18 1/2” 3 1/2 lb Crappie in a reservoir in Northern California! Love Crappie fishing at night too, used to go to Lake Shasta in Nor Cal!

Catching those 4-5 lb fish on those ultra lights is a BLAST. I actually recently started doing ultralight fishing in salt water and man oh man, catching a pompano on what is essentially a crappie rig is other worldly.
If you're looking for the challenge, the Panhandle of Texas has some big crappie and walleye. Been seeing lots of speed goats on the way to the lake as well.

The spawn is going strong here in Central Missouri. Fished 8 out of the last 10 days, limited every day. Only on the last day did I find any on the banks. Biggest of all the trips was 14.5", at just over 1.5 lbs, yesterday.
Hey man, Florida fisher here. I don’t know if things are different in Texas, but down here beetle spins catch them like no other. On a slow retrieve they’ll hit it on the dive. May try that for the bigger studs. Awesome vid bud, stay safe.
nice to see a recent vidoe on crappie in the season,,problem for me is i am very limited to my fishing spots and very hard finding crappies because i only know of one place i ever caught them and that is in bradford west guilmbury,,im planing to go there today(ie this morning) and i mapped out a few other spots along the way all the way to holland landing then keswik,,and its difficult in this part of southern ontario because most places are all taken over by private owners and hard finding spots on the lake or river then i have a timing problem as in they bite in the morning or at sun set so im told but i have caught em in middle of the day too so idk i am trying to maximise my time for the whole day to try many places as i can to see where they are,,i have not fished in years but the craze is itching me again to give it another try but in these parts its been a long time i did not have good catches or much species to go after nor places to go and always assholes all around i have to deal with (which im trying to get away from to begin with lol) so that is one of the reasons i quite for so long plus depression
