Thank you for sharing your story. I am weeping while watching your videos. I am currently bedridden and waiting for my explant surgery.

I will pray for you. I hope your day arrives soon. I know for me, the change was significant and I am still well and living nearly 3 years since explant and 1.5 years since I had the capsules removed separately. It was worth it. My healing has remained!

Thank you so much for sharing your story! How are you feeling today? Are majority of your symptoms gone?

Bianca Garcia overall significantly better, 48 of 60 symptoms gone to date. No longer bed ridden, I am able to work again and drive again. I have a third surgery scheduled in 2019 to remove partial capsule tissue that was not removed by my original explanting surgeon, to eliminate possibility of it causing the remaining 12 symptoms to sick around, eliminate potential future cancer risk, and other complications. But I’m night and day from what I was. Www.facebook.com/BIIAware and I’m Blush_violet on IG and post regular updates and photos!

No I did not originally. I went back 18 months after my original explant and had them removed by Dr. Jae Chun in Newport Beach, CA (June 2019). The difference was even more pronounced and really brought me back to feeling normal again.

Bonnie Zeleski I’m sorry to hear that. How long has it been. Healing is a marathon not a sprint for certain. Having a rupture or very old implants where silicone potentially migrated to other regions of the body can also complicate healing. I also am aware of numerous ladies (myself included) who were told capsules were all or mostly removed, only to discover upon exploratory surgery the capsules had been left inside. I have two friends recently removed capsules that were supposed to have been removed but were not. They are feeling remarkably better since the capsules came out. This is not the case for everyone and it is definitely a significant cost and the additional surgical risk must also be weighed..... wishing you well and hope your healing improves. Just to let you know the first year I had subtle improvements but I did not feel well until 2 years post explant and after capsules came out. Now at 3 years things are even better, but it was a slow and gradual process. I was not magically better after explant and the first year was very up and down. It wasn’t until 2 years that I really felt better, and now I feel near normal with the exception that I am very allergic to silicone now. I also am particularly sensitive to chemicals, drugs additive ingredients..... but avoidance has been an effective way of feeling normal without reactions.
