I agree, lots of skincare influencers always suggest the inkey list because it’s really cheap, but for the product sizes it’s actually more expensive. Because it runs out quicker and you have to buy more which then adds up to even more money. Whereas other cheap brands like Simple (although some simple products aren’t good for your face) actually sell cheap products like a toner for £2 which will last you definitely a few months
True. also the active ingredient often seems to be added in smaller quantity. For example the HA: it's already in a small bottle, but the first ingredient is also water. So it's diluted too. Some other products are mostly dimethicone or glycerin. As in case of polyglutamic acid. You pay for the hydrating ingredient name, but there's almost none of it in the product. Sure it is a hydrating toner, but $15 for 30ml is actually quite expensive ($50 for 100 ml toner is not cheap).
Started my adult skincare journey with 8 inkey list products a month ago and think my skin has finally stopped purging! If you haven’t already made a video on acne purging it would be super helpful as I thought my skincare was making everything worse and I’m sure it would help educate others like me! ❤️
I ADORE their 15% Vitamin C + EGF serum. It’s been far more effective for me than the couple of vitamin C products I’ve tried from The Ordinary (better texture and finish, too!). I really need to give more of their products a try!
How long did it take to show results on your skin ? I’ve been trying that one and I think The bottle is almost gone and I don’t see any difference at all. It also leaves my skin tacky , takes quite a while for me to blend it in.
@@rhileynnna I’d say if you don’t see effects after a bottle, it probably isn’t working for you. (I should also say that since I left this original comment, I’ve switched to Stratia’s C+C Serum, which contains both pure vitamin C + a vitamin C derivative, and which I like more. You may want to give it a try!)

I love Cassandra advice for the retinol eye cream cause I do the same with it and I use the pha toner and their niacinamide 10 percent is my holy grail you cannot go wrong with the inkey list
Hola querida! Thank you for this video. It was so helpful for my teenager who needs some budget friendly skincare. I value what you say and I am so lucky to have discovered your channel. Its truly so informative and I appreciate how you back what you say with effective grounded reasoning. Keep on shining love.
They have a C 50 blemish serum overnight in the UK. I don’t understand because a key active is BHA 2% but i have asked their staff the pH and it’s high 6-7 whereas I thought that it needed low to be effective. There isn’t explanation given (although I’m sure there is one) unfortunately. It has other actives like vit C, lotus flower and a soothing agent
Is this sponsored? I couldn't tell, which means it wasn't disclosed clearly enough if so. I got a sponsored vibe, but couldn't find/hear the disclaimer. The video was fun anyway.
I saw the inkey list at shoppers drug mart because in Canada it was exclusively sold there I think but now I can’t find it on the SDM website. However, it could be in stores still I’m not sure. The inkey list recently came to Sephora in Canada tho (online) like a couple weeks ago! So I guess it’s not exclusive anymore ..?
Name sisters lol. I got the lactic acid at Shoppers a few months ago and loved it, and then I was looking for it the other day and couldn't find the brand at all in store! I'll check at Sephora now though. Thanks!
My face can’t handle cerave moisturizer, it stings. Yes I’m one of those small group of people who shockingly enough can’t love cerave moisturizer. Temporarily I go back to my old favourite brand then would like to give inkey list a try. love your videos as always! ❤️
It would be interesting to see a comparison between the inkey list and the ordinary and if it's possible to combine their products from both brands to have the best skincare routine ever at a very affordable price

Hi Ms. Cassandra, Like you I have acne prone skin and been trying different skin care products aside from visiting my dermatologist. I have been watching your videos that help me to become “skintelligent”. Inkey List has been my holy grail. I have been using their Glycolic Toner, Tranexamic Acid, Retinol. And after I have watched your video Ms. Cassandra I will now include Salicylic Cleanser in my Skin Care Routine. I hope you could send me other Inkey List products. Thank you & more power
I've loved this brand for years, it use to be in Shoppers Drug Mart (in Canada) , randomly disappeared.... And all of a sudden its on Sephora! They also had products I couldn't find there, so I'm so happy XD
I used to watch all your videos in the past but I have a really hard time enjoying your videos now . It is sad because you are so knowledgeable. Throwing everything in the air , overexcited , i miss the old version of you .
Same, being an introvert, I usually off put by too much energy. But look how her subscriber count grew recently compared to her years of the “old version”
Would you actually use all of those products in one skincare routine? Trying to understand what would be included in my routine and buy products accordingly
honestly, she's probably only suggesting it this way because they didn't send her that/she didn't research enough to know that they have a retinol serum.
Jellyfish aren't jelly. They're 98% water, whereas jelly(short form of gelatin) is basically hydrolyzed collagen, that you eat. With added flavor of course. But yeah, jellyfish are actually not gelatinous. If you brought one on land, their bodies would simply for the most part evaporate, leaving behind the few components that make up that 2%.
For other Canadians out there, the Inky List is sold in shoppers drug mart (Atleast in Ontario) I’m from a really small town and they only have the salicylic acid cleanse. However at other shoppers I’ve been to they’ve had a larger selection
I wished the sizes were bigger - less packaging for the earth - and really it’s inexpensive but you get small amount
this was my complaint as well
I agree: I bought the Gycolic Acid Toner and it was only 3.5 oz, so tiny!

Hi! What I'm concerned about is the relatively low proportion of active ingredients for example in Retinol eye cream:
1. Retinol eye cream ingredients: Water (Aqua / Eau), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Pentaerythrityl Distearate, Shea Butter Ethyl Esters, Cetearyl Olivate, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Sorbitan Olivate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Copernicia Cerifera Cera, Propanediol, Glycogen, Sodium Gluconate, Retinol, Polysorbate 20, Ethylhexylglycerin, Dehydroacetic Acid, Citric Acid, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Ethyl Ferulate, Humulus Lupulus Extract.
2. Collagen booster: Water (Aqua / Eau), Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, Phenoxyethanol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Disodium EDTA, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Carbomer, Hyaluronic Acid, Palmitoyl Dipeptide-5 Diaminobutyroyl Hydroxythreonine, Palmitoyl Dipeptide-5 Diaminohydroxybutyrate, Polysorbate 20, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1.
3. Peptide moisturizer: Aqua (Water/Eau), Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Glycerin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Carbomer, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Sodium Hydroxide, Ethylhexyl-glycerin, Sodium Gluconate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Dehydroacetic Acid, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Phenethyl Alcohol, Acetyl Hexapeptide-37, Maltodextrin, Pentapeptide-48.
So how should I interpret these INCI's, when we are always told to study and look at where phenoxyethanol is listed (1%). Does this mean that for the less price we get less active ingredients?
You skin is glowing, I am so happy for you

I was almost 90% sure I'll be getting The Inkey List products over the other aforementioned brand to start with my first routine ever but this video helped me seal the deal in my head! Thanks so much! I wish I found this video sooner rather than tormenting myself for so long. The only problem is, now, I want to get more products than what I originally intended to buy and my bank account is screaming in the background. 😂
Will be watching out for more of your vids!

I love Cassandra advice for the retinol eye cream cause I do the same with it and I use the pha toner and their niacinamide 10 percent is my holy grail you cannot go wrong with the inkey list
THANK YOU MS. CASSANDRA FOR EDUCATING US I REALLY ENJOY TO WATCH YOU. ❤️🇵🇭
Hola querida! Thank you for this video. It was so helpful for my teenager who needs some budget friendly skincare. I value what you say and I am so lucky to have discovered your channel. Its truly so informative and I appreciate how you back what you say with effective grounded reasoning. Keep on shining love.
I love her energy✨✨

Love this! I was hoping you would tell us about the polyglutamic acid and retinol. Maybe next time?
They have a C 50 blemish serum overnight in the UK. I don’t understand because a key active is BHA 2% but i have asked their staff the pH and it’s high 6-7 whereas I thought that it needed low to be effective. There isn’t explanation given (although I’m sure there is one) unfortunately. It has other actives like vit C, lotus flower and a soothing agent
Thank you very much for you videos Cassandra. I'm from Portugal and I recommend your videos to all my friends. Thank you
Is this sponsored?
Thanks!
inkey list left shoppers instore, not sure about online. But ya super nice that it's at sephora canada now!
@@leilanoonan8824 👯♀️ 👯♀️ np! I guess they started selling at Sephora instead now :)
@@pinkabuki ah I guess they’re not selling it at shoppers anymore
I've just read a comment (further down), that said some Inkey products can be found at "Shoppers Drug Mart" in Canada. I hope this helps, xx
Omg 😍😍😍 LOVE U CASSANDRA
My face can’t handle cerave moisturizer, it stings. Yes I’m one of those small group of people who shockingly enough can’t love cerave moisturizer. Good thing it causes no issue on the rest parts of my body, man the bottle is huge. Temporarily I go back to my old favourite brand then would like to give inkey list a try. love your videos as always! ❤️
It would be interesting to see a comparison between the inkey list and the ordinary and if it's possible to combine their products from both brands to have the best skincare routine ever at a very affordable price
I would looove that too!
Thank you for this information! I'm planning on making an order next week and wasn't really sure which to aquire, now I have the right info! Love your content!
I don't know of it's the tone of what exactly but it sounds like one of those TV ads
Not sure if you’ll see this or not but it’s worth a try!! I’ve been watching your videos for so long & I love how informative you are!! Can you please do a review for Honest beauty? I’ve been wanting to try them out but I’ve been somewhat skeptical because I am not sure if I should try them out & invest my time in their products. Thank you!!❤️
The niacinamide and hyaluronic acids are amazing too!!!!! Freakin love them and they do need to be in drugstores😫💕💕
I love their multi-biotic balancing moisturizer also 🧡
i deal with body and face cystic acne as well and it sucks
Ohh my goodness I needed this video so bad. I get cyst on my thighs and they are miserable cysters I need help
I enjoy watching you so much Cassandra ❤️❤️ you're my savior 😭😭
Hi Ms. Cassandra,
Like you I have acne prone skin and been trying different skin care products aside from visiting my dermatologist.
Do u have a video on lightening dark hyperpigmentation of underarms
Thank god you made a video on the inkey list because now I’m persuaded to buy them 🤣🤣🤣
can you use the ordinary niacinamide & the alpha arbutin together ?
hi cassandra! thanks for this video! can i use BHA with Hyaluronic and peptides in the same routine?
I can't wait to buy them all!
Ive bought most lol. I have 3 products in my shopping cart now. Waiting for payday to do my order
I switched to haruharu about 2 months ago and it has done well for me but now I’m ready to add more acne fighting in my routine
I've loved this brand for years, it use to be in Shoppers Drug Mart (in Canada) , randomly disappeared.... And all of a sudden its on Sephora! They also had products I couldn't find there, so I'm so happy XD
Perfect timing for this video, I need to spice up my skin care! I'm excited to try this brand!
I used to watch all your videos in the past but I have a really hard time enjoying your videos now . It is sad because you are so knowledgeable. Throwing everything in the air , overexcited , i miss the old version of you .
I agree, what happened to the old Cassandra? Bring her back. This feels like I'm being whipped into a frenzy!
Same, being an introvert, I usually off put by too much energy. But look how her subscriber count grew recently compared to her years of the “old version”
@@chrissymoss514 i miss her sooooooo much
It’s so cringey. I hate the throwing of the products.
@@chrissymoss514 it seems to me that she is trying to be a « hyram » version but it doesn’t suit her . Come on Cassandra , you are better than that 🙏
i got the Hyaluronic bottle as gift from my niece and so loved it! I hope i can find them in my country
How about the cerave salicylic acid cleanser ? Is it better or worse than the inkey list one?
Would you actually use all of those products in one skincare routine? Trying to understand what would be included in my routine and buy products accordingly
What about just using the inkey lists retinol anti-aging serum? Or is using the retinol eye cream better ?
That's what I thought.
honestly, she's probably only suggesting it this way because they didn't send her that/she didn't research enough to know that they have a retinol serum.
Best review, one of the best videos I've seen on TH-cam.
The hyaluronic acid helps so much with my acne/ dry spots
Hi casandra. Can Alpha Arbutin replaced with Niacinamide Serum? Are they working the same function? Which one is better?
Jellyfish aren't jelly. They're 98% water, whereas jelly(short form of gelatin) is basically hydrolyzed collagen, that you eat. With added flavor of course. But yeah, jellyfish are actually not gelatinous. If you brought one on land, their bodies would simply for the most part evaporate, leaving behind the few components that make up that 2%.
QUEEN HAS POSTED-
Do you have a videos on how to shrink pores???, love ur videos.💜
For other Canadians out there, the Inky List is sold in shoppers drug mart (Atleast in Ontario) I’m from a really small town and they only have the salicylic acid cleanse. However at other shoppers I’ve been to they’ve had a larger selection
This is amazing!!! See this is why I really really really have considered heading to Canada 🇨🇦
Can I use the salicylic acid twice a day?
Can you do one for hyperpigmentation please? Love your videos btw :)
I like the inkey list as well. Hard to get so have only tried a couple. Can u use vit. C and retinol with the PH toner u mentioned?
I love your videos and comparing skin care to the price of avocado toast lol perfect.
