Desert X 2021, Free art location, Coachella Valley

In this video I make an early morning run to get a sneak peek of one of Desert X's 2021 contemporary art installations. I started out in the dark, with pouring rain, but about half way there the sky opened up and I had a rainbow following me from Beaumont to the Aerial Tram. You can see it in one of the shots.
Although the locations of the other art installations remains a secret for another couple days, I recognized the location of this artwork from some early press event in a local paper, so I decided to do a quick run out there the next morning.
This piece is called Never Forget by Alaskan artist Nicholas Galanin. Unlike a lot of other contemporary art, you won't have to scratch your head wondering what the message is here.
This artwork mimics the style and scale of the Hollywood Sign. Each of these letters is 40' tall, not including the base it attaches to, which is the same height as the Hollywood Sign. Keep an eye out in the video for the construction workers putting in the finishing touches, and you'll get an idea of the scale of this thing. It is massive. I spotted it from the 10 frwy at N Indian Canyon Dr., which was over 3 miles away. It really is impressive.
