Looking to get into trolling this year myself just wondering when you say you’re letting out anywhere from 70-120’ does the longer line make the crank dive deeper that what it’s rated for? Also what’s a good lb test to troll with for mono and are you running a fluorocarbon leader to the bait?

Yes letting out more line makes the bait dive deeper. I like using 20 or 25 lb mono Or fluro leaders. I use 40 lb braid to a mono or fluro leader. But I also have some rods with 20-25 lb mono.
