i say wool on the skin if you can take it, merino or combined polypro, if you cant, but down filled under pants, and jacket, then rain gear... theres always milwaukee heated gear! runs off of 12 volt!!!! miluakee batteries.

Hey Eric could I get your advice I live in north west wisconsin and have an inland lake that has browns in it. I catch them on dipsy divers and down riggers in July over deep water. Do you think I could catch them the same way early this season in may? Or perhaps they will be in shallow water only
They will definitely be shallower. They are deep in the summer because that's where their preferred temperature is.
@@adamsmith3996 okay could they be over open water but just up high in the water column, or most definitely in shallower gradual bays?
@@summy5022 basically in the spring they will be shallow because the warm weather produces life in the form of bug hatches and minnows in the shallows. If you keep trout to eat. Examine its stomach contents to see what it eating. Heres a method that always works for me. Rig up a slip float with a 1 inch white tube jig tipped with a wax worm . Change the depth and move around till you find em. Good luck

Everything big pike, big walleyes, big smallies, brown trout, a few lake trout and big muskies but muskie season doesn’t open until Memorial Day weekend

Any ideas what could have caused that gash on the musky back? I've seen alot of large pike and musky with similar type wounds and always wondered if they got hit by a boat, got into a fight with another big fish, etc....
