    What a feeling of proud accomplishment this must give. With all that is done, the chance of a problem seems pretty high, and anxiety had to be high on that last day. Bravo!

    Hello Stuzman!
    my family and i want thank you from the bottom of our heart; when our cylinder head valves got destroyed from the Idler pulley collapsing we were in great grief and in no stable financial way to afford another car; we were in grave danger and had no way in getting a car in time or the money to put into the labor to fix it.
    Luckily my father knew his way around car's but never tackled his way into this type of situation so we set aside 4 days to work on this from the minute we get out of work till it got dark. Not only did we only spend $700 to get all the parts, we learned so much from this experience and i had a fantastic time working along side my father on the car; this will for sure be a memory i will forever treasure with my dad. This is my first vehicle and i did not want to let go as it was a gift from m father when i started college back in 2012.
    4 days later we are here with a working Suzuki and not only that, it feels stronger and much more responsive than it was in the past. Lastly, I acquired so much knowledge about the car; again we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude toward your time and video as you saved a Family where we were in no financial way of affording a vehicle or paying the $2500 job it would have cost here in Cali.

      It's comments like yours Alex that makes me want to continue to film videos to help folks just like yourself. I'm very glad to hear that the car is running great and more importantly that you and your family saved a bunch of money. And it also gives me great pleasure to hear that you and your father had a rewarding time spent together working on the vehicle. For a suggestion since your car is running pretty good now and you're learning about it, that you may want to get a subscription for the service manual. The subscription would include the service repair information, the TSBs, the wiring diagrams, electrical connector's information with its locations and of course where all sensors are located. The price is very reasonable and you can get all this at www.alldatadiy.com Say hi to your Dad, and I wish you and your family continued success and happiness throughout all of your endeavors in life. Terry

      It was a great time spending time with him and it was a lot of fun working on the vehicle together it has really shown me so much information about car engines and another part of engineering that was new to me. I will look into the service manual as it seems something that would be great to have if anything were to go wrong and if we want to change something in the future. I has already been 450 Miles with no problems at all; car has been running smooth as day, idles quietly and feels like a new engine. A lot of issues we had in the past have all dissipated once we did this job. I will start taking it to the freeway when i hit the 500 - 550Miles with the new head to be safe and we have been inspecting the car 3 - 4 times a week to make sure there is no leaks and problems with the vehicle.
      My father thanks you for all that you have done for people such as ourselves and we can never thank you enough for what you have done to save this family from going under!

    I finished up the timing belt & value gasket replacement on my 2005 Forenza. Thank you very much for the best videos ever! I almost put your name on the timing belt sticker because of how much you did. When I started on the engine it made a lot of rattling; now it sounds great. I know if I took it to dealer they would not have done as great as job as you.

    Terry! Just wanted to comment and let you know that my daughter has a Suzuki Forenza that blew a head gasket. Repair garage wanted $2,500 to do the repair. She is a single homeowner and this was a lot of money for her. After watching your very detailed video series on this! I told her I would give it a shot. I just finished her car yesterday and everything worked out perfectly because of the time you took to put these tutorials together. You really helped her/us out of a very expensive repair. We did the whole repair for around $500. She and I would just like to let you know that you taking the time to put these video's up really helped a family out. Thank you VERY much.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Did I remember to say thank you? I had to work on the exact same car (only gold, not blue) and your videos were better than having a shop manual. Your attention to detail, such as even explaining how to separate the various connectors, was so helpful as was specific, essential information such as torque specs and tightening sequences. You took all the guesswork and trial and error out of the disassembly and reassembly sequence. I used to be able to remember what went where but time has robbed me of that ability so I have to make notes and label things; your videos eliminated the need for that. I'm blessed to be able to report that my vehicle started right up on the first try; I had one lifter that took about 7-10 minutes to quieten down but, otherwise, it ran fine. It wasn't my ability but your excellent videos and the goodness of the Lord that brought that about. So, once more, thank you for taking the time and putting forth the effort necessary to create this excellent video series. By the way, if I may ask, where do you live? Your manner of speaking reminds me so much of my relatives in middle Georgia. That added more enjoyment to the videos for me.

    Hi Joe and thanks for stopping by. Mmmm, I would take the big money and run lol. Seriously, my motto is that when I have to do a job, I only want to do it ONE time and be done with it. In all of my work, I actually work faster, but with these video series, I'll show all the steps, pause and then talk about an important procedure without doing anything, more time to setup for the next shot, etc. If I was doing a similar job, the work would be faster, but still meticulous and detailed. Hi Dave, Although it was a lot of work, I wasn't worried about any incidents since I took my time and tried to as thorough as possible. The only two things that I was a little concerned about before the engine was started was if the idle would correct itself and that all the lifters would pump up. As you know, both issues worked with no problems. Yeah, my heart was going pitter patter before I cranked it up! Thanks for watching Dave!

    Terry, I watched this whole series on the belt/head replacement and I don't even own a Suzuki. I really applaud you for the work you put into these videos. I picked up a lot of tips just from watching. One thing I now look for in cars is a NON-interference engine whenever possible. Suzuki made some very good reliable engines for a while, but this one is not a Suzuki engine - it is a GM/Daewoo car/engine mostly. I wish Suzuki could have survived the US market, because I really wanted to see the new Swift come to the US. Once again - excellent work and keep 'em coming.

There's about 150 videos on my channel of automotive repair and diagnostics, and I'm sure you'll find something of interest. I recently did a four part complete a/c job on a Ford Ranger that you may find interesting. This one is from start to finish and I show a lot of detail with helpful tips for someone who wants to know what's involved in doing a/c work. If you like detail, you may find that series interesting. Take care Ronald and welcome to the channel. If you haven't subscribed, go ahead so you'll be notified through email of future videos. One more thing Joe. Stay tuned on the VW VR6 that I'm working on now which threw two codes. I'm in the process now of pulling the whole front assembly out now to get to the secondary air pump system. That will be one where diagnostics is used to go through each component. Of course, to be an effective troubleshooter, you HAVE to know how it works. Otherwise, how can you fix something and put it back into working order if you don't know how it works. We'll go over the system, diagrams, etc.

  • @stuzman52
    @stuzman52  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sure Joe. I try to do that with the videos now, but sometimes, the diagnostics does get dragged out. On the Ford Ranger with a sending unit problem, I took everyone right along with me and they were finding out at the same time as me what the problem was, how to diagnose it and how to confirm our diagnosis. All of this starts with understanding the system, how it works, which includes wiring diagrams, coming up with our diagnostic strategies, etc. The same holds true for the Buick video...cont)

    The only problem I had was finding the Torgue to Yield Cam Sprocket Bolts...There no longer supported by Suzuki in 2019...So I installed them with red loctite and torque to value while I look for interchangeable bolts

    On the Autoenginuity scanner software, I was using a Dell Latitude D810 which is running WinXp Pro 32 bit on a Centrino. If you noticed, the other Dell computer was a Studio 1558 running Win7 Pro 64 bit with an I7 processor and having 8Meg of memory. I did have Autoenginuity on this computer, but I had a video driver problem and had to reinstall Windows. I just never got around to reinstalling the scanner software. Remember, Picoscope is a scope and not a scanner. Yes, I would buy both again!

    hey mister Pike! good news! thank God it started and is running smoothly. thank you so much for the great help! I think the reason why the gasket failed initially was because of the fans. there's a short in the wiring that sometimes keeps the low speed from turning on as it should at 199°F. I eliminated the connector and spliced the wires. it seems like it's working but I'll have to monitor it with my torque app to make sure it behaves. again thx a ton! hello to the wife for her directing skills there. Cheers

    • @stuzman52
      @stuzman52  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had all the confidence in you and knew you would get it going. What did you find out what the issue was about getting it timed? Seems like that was giving you a fit. Be sure to keep a check on on the fans as you've mentioned and if you've got a short, it would still be there right, unless you found the short. Probably, not a short, but keep a check on it! Thanks for the feedback and glad to hear i all worked out!

    • @Usmanthemecano
      @Usmanthemecano 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I noticed that whilst the head was off and I was cleaning the block I would rotate the crankshaft till the piston was flush with the deck and when I checked the timing mark on the crank it wasn't dead on the spot. It lets me know that there was wiggle room or some minor "play" there. So when I achieved alignment of both cams and the crank was a little off I decided to give it a shot anyways and it worked... So I guess not so strict after all.
      As far as the fan wiring it may have ruptured somewhere and as it moves it may or may not make connection

    • @Usmanthemecano
      @Usmanthemecano 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey mister Pike hope all is well with you. I have a small issue with the valve cover still leaking tough I used the spacers on all ten bolts and didn't overtighten them. the back side is the trouble spot (where the two half moons are). Some have suggested that the cover gets warped, some have suggested that the PCV valve which is molded into the valve cover is the culprit. I'm thinking of taking off since I didn't use rtv and clean all mating surfaces again and use brake clean inside the pcv in case it's clogged. any suggestions?

    Hi again Terry! Just about to begin on the 07 Reno. Got sidetracked by the wife's parents illnesses and having to care for them. The car has been sitting about a year now. Timing belt didn't break but head gasket is blown so I'll change the timing set while I'm in there. I was wondering if you'd considered packaging all 18 videos for this tutorial into one DVD? I'd buy it in a heart beat and I'd bet a lot of people would also. Even though it's free here on TH-cam, having a reference dvd to follow would be great to have right beside me as I'm working on it. Give it some thought. With a little success you might market a series of DIY auto repair. There simply isn't any real ones out there that are vehicle specific as this one. Thanks again for taking the trouble to produce this one and much success in the future!

    Terry, I had a broken timing belt, and used your videos explicitly. I really enjoyed your teaching and detail. At this point it is back together and turned it over and ran really rough. Due to other pressing priorities I had to stop. I was thinking of checking the timing to be sure after reading lots of comments. I did a throttle body clean but did not have a tank to set it in so may have been a partial clean. Are there some other checks you would advise? On another note when tightening up the timing tensioner I noticed that I could not get good tension so after looking more at the water pump position I learned that it is easy to bolt that down incorrectly producing a slack tension on the belt. Is this something you have seen. The proper position is the flange being aligned with the recess in the cover. Thanks again for the wonderful videos you and your wife put together they were a real blessing for me.

    • @stuzman52
      @stuzman52  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Gregory! I noticed that you didn't mention anything about pulling the head for bent valves. If your timing belt broke, then it's about 100% guaranteed that you had or have some valves bent. So, I assume that you pulled the head to address that issue. The water pump should be turned fully clockwise until it hits the stops and then tighten the bolts up at that point. Otherwise, the belt could have slack and you may not be able to tighten it up with the tensioner. I didn't run into this issue but others have commented on it. And of course, make sure that the marks are correct as you don't want to bend valves :) That's all I can think of at the moment. Good luck on what you find to get your car running again! And glad to hear that videos were helpful!

    • @gregrooker2593
      @gregrooker2593 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes indeed I did have bent valves. I had the head machined and 4 or 6 valves replaced. Followed all the steps in your videos. I was able to bleed decently all the buckets. The shop did not do this as I was thinking they might.

      Well I got back to the Forenza and found some things I had missed. I got a little hasty in putting thing things back together originally and missed the vacuum line that goes to the valve cover, and after using brake cleaner and squirting around the intake manifold I discovered I installed the manifold gasket poorly. After the last fix all was well...no codes and idles fine🤣🤣. My next concern may be mpg. Thought I might get about 25 in town but only getting 21. Whenever you do a project Gregory, you always want to take your time so that you don't overlook the details. But you don't have to worry if you miss the details, because at the end of the job, the details will find you and don't even have to look for them at that point :)) As the old saying goes, sometimes you've got to slow down to go faster. Keep at it and I'm sure you'll get it all sorted :)

    Super job Terry! Do you have any more instructional videos out there? I'd be interested in seeing how to check sensors and diagnose any problems with them. I'm 58 so I'm old school. I've done my share of mechanic work over the years but not too much electrical stuff. I've read a lot about checking the various sensors and millivolts but have as yet to try it. It's a little confusing. Heck I'd like to see any more tutorials you have out there!

      @stuzman52  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Allen for your comments and I have been thinking about how to check sensors and other electrical stuff, but it seems that a lot of people don't seemed to be too interested in those type of videos. I'm still thinking about it though as far as showing sensors, how they work, etc. I did do some videos of how things work such as waste spark ignition systems, hall-effect sensors, IAT and ECT sensors to name a few. I believe they want to see more of how to remove and replace. I try to do most of my videos as a tutorial to let you know how I think about a problem, where we're going to go and hopefully, other useful information that the viewer may find helpful. If you want to see on-the-fly diagnosis with a VW Jetta which is the latest series that I've done, that may be of interest to you. I've been working on it today and now putting everything back together. I'm rendering the last video of that series now and should be uploaded later this evening. Here is a link to the first video of that series.
      Volkswagen Jetta Won't Start, Electrical Diagnosis - Part 1
      Also, there should be quite a few videos on electrical stuff on my homepage. You can browse the videos to see what may interest you. Thanks again for the comments and for your suggestions.

Before you turn on the car for the first time after doing all the maintenance, and after checking up the crankshaft in tdc and the camshaft in their marked position. Do you have to position the crankshaft BTDC as the camry 45degrees. I really would appreciate your answer. THANKS-

    Hey Terry,
    I followed your videos on this rebuild and with this being my first rebuild I was a little scared to try it ! Well today I finished up and went to turn the key and man she runs like a sewing machine. Thanks for taking your time out to make these videos it really helped me out a lot! I had a old tank mechanic tell me to pour a cup of diesel fuel in the oil and then change the oil again after running it for five mins or so to make double sure its clean. I have yet to try this because she is running so good. Do you think that is a good idea?

    • @stuzman52
      @stuzman52  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glad to hear Adam that everything went well for you on the rebuild. I assume that you probably had a head gasket leak since you mention about the diesel fuel. If so, I've heard of different things to run in the engine to clean it up. I assume you've already changed the oil and filter. You could change the oil and filter after a few hundred miles and then you'll be done with it. Even if you ran some stuff through the engine, you still have to change the oil and filter. So, leave the stuff out and just do the oil and filter change. Really glad to hear that it all went well for you. Take care Adam...

    Hi. I have a question about the Forenza you have. I have a 2005 Chevy Lacetti\Nubira that is the same car I think apart from the engine maybe. It looks exactly the same inside and out. On my car I have an airbag light on that is related to the driver seat occupancy sensor. I have seen here on youtube that some put in resistors to fool the system so the light goes off, witch is a cheap solution that I want to try, but som use 3 Ohm, some 5 and so on.. How many Ohm do you think would be appropriate for my car?
    Love your videos by the way, I'm a huge fan :) Hope you're going to do some more work on the Forenza in the future if you still have it. Greetings from NORWAY

      Hi Invgvar. I've never heard about putting in different resistor values to keep the air bag light off. Being a safety issue, I would go ahead and fix the problem to whatever that may be. I sold the car back in February so unfortunately there won't be anymore videos on this vehicle. Glad to hear that you liked the videos and hope you get some good use out of them. Hello back to your from the US and good luck on your repair.

Your videos helped so much not only with teaching me how to do it but also saved me quite a bit of money that I didn't have due to my daughter have brain surgery tomorrow. I only have 1 question... After changing the head gasket and putting it all back together my car is still lagging in power...how do you finesse the ignition timing? Mind you there were no problems with my valves or pistons. If you could please help.

    • @stuzman52
      @stuzman52  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jennifer Terry hi Jennifer snd glad the videos helped. On modern vehicles today such as this one, there is no manual way to change ignition timing as it is controlled by the computer. You may want to recheck your timing marks as they may be off a little. Also be sure all of your vacuum hoses are connected. Sorry to hear about your daughter and will pray for her recovery.

    Can you tell men the function or purpose of the box you identified as the resonator box? When I took mine off, I found engine oil inside (maybe three teaspoons or so). That is not normal, is it? Any idea how it might have gotten in there? I have sprayed brake clean inside to try and dry it up.

    • @stuzman52
      @stuzman52  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      JesusSolidRock the box is used to soften the sound of the incoming air going into the throttlebody when you press on the accelerator. You will have a little bit of oil inside the box which is coming from the PCV system.

    Hi Terry
    My name is Mark and thank u for this video series. I changed out my head gasket on my 2007 Reno using your videos. I am an accountant by trade not a mechanic. I was very pleased when I was done and it actually cranked up. This car has always had a lousy idle from day 1. I think it is worse now but runs great on the road. I have not tried your idle relearn procedure. Do u think that might help? No check engine lights are coming on and the car is running cool. Any suggestions would be appreciated and thanks again for your videos. I am now a big fan.

    • @stuzman52
      @stuzman52  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Always glad to hear other folks with no background in mechanical and working on their cars and getting them to work correctly. For some suggestions, be sure to keep a close check on the car such as checking for oil leaks, coolant that is dropping low in the coolant reservoir, unusual odors. You know, things out of the ordinary.. As for the idle, did you clean the throttle body up when you had it torn down? Carbon in the passages of the throttle body and around the throttle valve could create a rough idle. It wouldn't hurt to try the relearn procedure, but since you have been driving, it should have probably already learned how to idle. I was also thinking about the timing marks being off by a tooth. But the car would not have the power on acceleration. Since you say it runs pretty good, we can ignore that. If there are any other issues, the check engine light will come on to let you know. Just a keep watch on the vehicle for now and see how things go with her. Take care Mark and glad to hear that the videos helped out. Oh, and thanks for the sub...

      Good for you angel that your car is running again, and I'm glad the videos helped you out. I had the same issue after it ran for a few months. For me, I reviewed my own videos to see if there was an O-ring or some type of gasket that should seal this area. I did not see one when it was torn down. I then looked at the parts breakdown for this area online to see if there was a part for it. Who knows, maybe someone in the past left a gasket out. I did not see one listed. So, this is probably a design issue where the tube that fits over the EGR is not tight enough to keep oil from slowly seeping out. To fix this, I was going to get an O-ring or maybe a gasket, sized to the inside of the tube and seal it myself. It turns out that there was a buyer for the car, so I sold it and never got a chance to try and fix that issue. Maybe you can come up with something for the viewers out there. Take care angel and once again glad to hear your car is running.

      angel rojas Since the gasket hasn't been on that long, you'll probably be okay to reuse. The best I can recommend is that if it's not too bad, I wouldn't worry about it. Or if you want to try and fix it, you can do as I mentioned about putting an O-ring or a type of gasket in there. I didn't research it any further since the car was sold. Take care...

    Hi Terry,
    My Grandson, Dorian and I just started Part 18. Cranked right up and ran great for about 3-5 mins at idle speed and revved up to about 2500. Turned it off to begin the idle rerun procedure. Followed procedure. When we reached the start engine point, it started but idled rough and the shut down after a min or two. Would not restart. Followed the owner's manual fail start procedure and it started but it would not run below 2000 rpms? Checked everything we could think of...still will not start/run normal. No check engine light. Runs great, sounds great above 2000. Old school thinking, it acts like it is flooding in idle or not getting enough air? I am at a loss when it comes to the emissions alphabet. Did I break it?
    BTW, Dorian says I am starting to sound like you, LOL. I would hope so when it comes to fixing cars.

      Fred Holloway Hi Fred. What was the initial issue with the car? Did you just change the timing belt or was there a head issue? And I'm assuming the car ran fine before the issue. Are you sure that all of the timing marks are aligned? If you're off by one tooth, the car can start but will run rough. Does the car have the drive-by-wire throttle or is the throttle valve controlled by a cable? If you're sure of your work on the timing marks, you could try cleaning the throttle body. Other than that, I can't think of anything else. Good luck Fred on your findings.

    • @fredholloway5266
      @fredholloway5266 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      stuzman52 Head gasket was leaking inside.. Timing marks good. It is not a drive by wire or cable, but has the throttle positioner and idle air control valve on the throttle valve. Throttle valve was cleaned. I'm thinking it is either the IAC or the MAP sensor(s). We now remember we had an indication from a scan code that the MAP was faulty before the head gasket blew. Probably good to replace both at 126k. Thanks again for you videos. Couldn't have done it without your help.

      @@dustinbeach54 You can keep an eye on it, but if it continues to blow white smoke, I would be thinking that coolant is getting inside the combustion chamber. You could use a couple of methods to check such as using a CO2 tester to check for a gas leak above the filler neck for the radiator, or putting air into each cylinder to see if there are air bubbles coming into the radiator. And keep a check on the oil level to be sure there isn't any coolant getting into the oil system. Definitely want to keep a check on this!

      +Bona Kaious Bona, I don't know of any company that will ship to a PO address. Your best bet is to use someone's home address so that you can get a head whether it's new or reconditioned. You'll be better to get a reconditioned head with all the valves, seats, seals completed since a reconditioned head will be cheaper that a new one. You can do a search on Google for Suzuki Forenza heads to see who's out there. And you may want to check with Better Business Bureau to see if they are reputable. At least that's what I would do if I'm going to do business with a new company. Sorry, I don't have any experience with any of these companies. As you may know, I pulled the head and had a local machine shop do the work. Hope you get it all worked out.

      thanks for the quick response. i have checked for compression, timing marks are aligned, spark is good. i even paid a mechanic to come at my house to recheck my troubleshooting, he checked fuel pressure was good around 50, compression was 120. 80. 120. 80. respectively for cylinders. battery was charged to full. he got to a conclusion that injectors have pulse only for some seconds and then the pulse stop. he said that crankshaft position sensor is good because otherwise we would have no spark. i looked at the crankshaft sensor and it shows peeled wire all over. i went ahead and put some tape around it. he is claiming that computer is been without battery like for 7 months and that's why it gets deprogrammed. he wants $100 for reprogramming.

      It's unlikely luis that the PCM has lost the program in the flash memory. I've had cars not running for months and have never experienced this. The Suzuki was out of commission for about four months and no problem with losing its programming. A Buick was out of commission for six months and no issue. Even microcontrollers that I work with have no problems. In fact, Atmel microcontrollers guarantees that it will only lose one bit in a million in 100 years. Since you're losing the fuel injector pulse intermittently, take a close look at the camshaft position sensor since it does the sequential firing of the injectors. This should be a hall-effect sensor which will generate square wave pulses. If you don't have a scope, you can use a voltmeter to see the high and low voltages generated. If I remember correctly, you should see 5VDC and ground level voltages. You can see these voltage levels while bumping the engine over. While you're at it, go ahead and take a look at the crank sensor signal too although you are generating a spark. This sensor will be a magnetic pickup type (VRS sensor) which will generate an AC voltage. Turn the engine over while monitoring the signal and see if you get a signal from it. Almost forgot, your compression readings do sound a little low. I would expect them to be around 150psi and 80 sounds really low. You may want to squirt a little oil in the holes to see if compression comes up. Or you may want to do an air leakage test. Hope that helps you out.

    Well I done every thing i was suppose to and took my time, I can not get it to start ,it was running fine befor it broke ,it bent every valve and even broke the tenshenor,so it done alot of damage ,but every thing was machined and replaced new ,what am i not doing right or what seem to be the problem? thanks stuzman52

      Hi Bobby, it's hard to say, but I can throw out some ideas for you. Did you make sure that you connected up the PCM ground wires on the bottom of the intake manifold? Connectors of importance would be the crank and camshaft sensors. And the connector for the coil pack. If you don't see anything there that's obvious, then you may want to take another look at your timing marks, just to make sure that everything looks fine there. Let us know what you find out and thank you for your comment.

      stuzman52 thank you for your reply . mine is a 2004 forenza and i don't have any ground on the intake that i know of , i think i will go ahead and look at the timming marks,then start on other things , what about codes ,are they any codes that would stop it from starting ,thank you

    • @stuzman52

      Hi bobby, crank and cam codes could keep it from starting. You could check for spark and fuel, but I would probably go right for the timing marks and see if they are still aligned. I remember one fellow who had bent valves, pulled the head, had the valves replaced and machine the head and then it wouldn't start. Then he thought the timing marks were aligned, but when he pulled the timing cover to check the marks, he found out that the marks had moved. Unfortunately, with the marks out of time, the valves got bent again. I felt really bad for the guy. So, you may want to start there because if everything is plugged up, it's not much else to look at other than the timing marks...

    Terry
    I did not clean the throttle body properly. I took the car in today for a professional radiator flush and there was still oil and debris in my fluid but it is clean now. I tried to do it myself but I could not get it to drain well. I drove the car today for about 60 miles total with no problems. The lube place that did the flush also has a system to clean the throttle body and injectors. It cost about $90. Do u recommend this type of cleaning? I don't really have time to
    work on the Reno right now myself. Have u looked into kickstarter.com? I think with your fan base you could raise money to produce videos for us novices on a grander scale. I liked your style and I think u could do it. You are a natural. Perhaps rebuild/overhaul of something older but popular like a
    Mini Cooper or Prelude. You could just purchase the car and fix it up with the money instead of waiting for any car to come to you. I would definitely pledge and contribute. Thank you again Terry.

      It wouldn't hurt to do a throttle body cleaning and injector cleaning and the price is more than reasonable. Around here, that runs about $90. One other thing since you probably had antifreeze and oil mixing is that you could have a contaminated O2 sensor which could contribute to a rough idle. Just something to keep in mind. I never heard of kickstarter.com but I'll take a look and see what it's all about. As I mentioned before, keep a close watch on your car as this a critical time and you want to keep a check on all of those fluids. Take care...

      Did you change the timing belt because it broke? If so, you probably have bent valves. Good luck on what you find.

      @@stuzman52 Timing belt never broke, the head-gasket went bad and made a nice milkshake so I got it from a friend for cheap. (Shut off & towed when it blew, minimal damage)
      Figured out the PCM ground wasn't grounded properly & a connector to the direct right of the ground (under the intake) was slightly unplugged
      Started right up with a nice knocking sound (sounds more like pinging). Great day i'm having, right? However, the engine threw a P0340 (camshaft position sensor malfunction) so I plan on replacing spark plugs & the camshaft sensor & go from there. Will keep updated for others to learn
