Life is full of new challenges and so it is with our orphaned flying-foxes in care.
We try and present as many new experiences before our charges are soft released back to the wild as who knows which skills will become useful in their future lives.
Grape plucking can be a difficult task to master especially with larger grapes but our orphans are fast learners who watch the older more experienced bats for tips.
Another skill gained and stored in the tool box of life.

I found a meme today. They called those flying mammals “sky puppies”. I love it!

I actually call them night butterflies cuz ive seen them flying around my neighborhood b4 and thought they were weird giant butterflies at night till my friedpnd said they were bats and i was a shocked pikachu face!!
So for me they are fluffy night butterflies

Everybody loves grapes! Nom, noms! I love how they get along with each other. I know there's some squabbling but really they cohabitate pretty well!
Nerine I love the “sniff fests” that occur when a new bat is introduced to the group! Thumb wrestling and trilling and squawking also ensue!
They get positively surrounded by the other bats who want to familiarize themselves with the scent of the new arrival!

You've got some beautifully-coloured Greys there. When Megabattie rescues Greys outdoors I don't think her camera does their colours full justice.

You and your partners open my eyes to an another world. From videos to videos, I empress so much by your work that I already search a way to help bat in Québec where I live. Our bat eats insect, I imagine because we don't have fruits all year around. So I will try to find a way to help them. I look for new episode every day on you tube. Stay safe.

I love these ‘flying puppies’ so much! I watch on my iPhone and turn it upside down to watch their little faces 😊. It’s on my bucket list to visit Australia and be vaccinated to help with their care. I have a blind chihuahua who goes crazy when he hears them chatter! He sniffs around looking for them! It’s too cute 😊♥️

Grapes are not that huge in America LOL and little Battys are gorgeous this video come up as a live chat and I wasn't sure what to do with it for a minute.
Linda Richmond I don’t know where you get your grapes from, perhaps you live in Washington and grow grapes in your backyard! Here in California the green grapes and the red grapes are positively huge in comparison to the black grapes!
