Thanks for the great video on AC input on zeners...I'm now a subscriber!!! I have a circuit that has an 800vDC input to a 600v zener (three 200v zeners in series--works great!) I now have the need to allow 800vAC to be input into the same circuit, as I must have a way for an SCR to shut off with negative voltage. So my question is: instead of inputting the 800v DC, can I input the 800v AC? Is there a datasheet spec or symbol for the max. NEGATIVE voltage that can be input to the standard zener regulator circuit. THANKS MUCH!!!
