- In this video we will learn the basic principle of how a diode will affect an AC circuit and we'll also see how we can use four diodes to affect the AC supply even further. This is shown in the form of a bridge rectifier.

Really interesting seeing that a diode prevents the ac current travelling back into the diode and makes it travel in a single direction, hopefully will get to see this practical in a theory lesson!!!!

Great video Joe. Do you have a tutorial explaining how AC works, and the pro's and cons of delivering current by AC or DC ? I can't get my head around how a device can be powered by an AC current going in two different directions (although I can see it in your light bulb example here). I'm a newbie!
