thank you for teach us very good and share your knowledge as English wasn't my language and it was difficult for me that find references for read anatomy .it makes me more familiar to anatomy vocabulary. 🌻🌻
How does one get rid of a metopic or frontal suture? Very defined vertical indentation or crevice from top of forehead to bridge of nose. It's very prominent and noticed it showed up overnight in my 20's or 30's. I dont know why it occurred or never filled in laterally.
That's a very good question. Probably because the other sutures allow for continued growth of the skull over a much longer period of time (20 years). They fuse much later in life, at 40, 50, 60 years old or later, but are not obliterated like in the younger skull when much more rapid bone growth is occurring.
I've got an anatomy viva tomorrow and guess what, Dr Sam's upload's just in time to save the day!
Brilliant as always. This channel is a treasure
You are wonderful! You look too passionate about your work. I like your videos although I am not a medical student but like to learn anatomy.

Why are the other cranial sutures not obliterated like the metopic suture over time?
