How to Fuse A 22k gold Acorn Hollow Bead from the ~Queen Puabi~ Collection- Fusing a hollow bead closed isn't that difficult if you have some fusing practice in the metalsmithing studio. I usually use a tabletop beehive kiln for fusing or granulation in fine silver or 22k gold, they are available on my jewelry tools website here: www.jewelryart... I usually recommend you get some fusing practice in first using bezels. How to fuse a hollow bead together is almost identical whether silversmithing or goldsmithing.

I love seeing the process in real time. And seeing how to work through issues as they arrive. Raising the kiln is something I've never seen anyone else do - but what a great idea. Otherwise you are just seeing it from the top which may or may not be helpful. In case people don't know, Jeanette runs Jewelry Arts Inc. in NYC and gives classes, which are excellent.
