    Up here in Philly you can get a CT5 with the more powerful 6 cylinder engine for around $55k. The 4 cylinders for under $50k. You can get super cruise on this car. Its part of an additional package.

    I almost bought this car but decided to go with the 6 cylinder CT5V for a little bit more money. It’s definitely a nice car though. If you’re looking for better gas mileage then this is the car to go for.

    I have the 2.0 engine and it's all I need, I'm into nice travels not racing.

      Same here, took mine on a trip got 34 MPG cruise set at 75 mph, rpms under 2K. Can't beat that.

      Is it reliable? I am on the fence with the same engine right now but afraid it is going to be a piece of junk. I am also looking at a Lexus Hybrid which I really like!

      @cartrack730 Cadillac is pretty reliable, atleast ever since they got rid of the northstar V8's.
      beast of an engine, but they had their share of problems.
      that said if you don't want the turbo, Cadillac still offers a V6. XT5 which is this cars crossover mate, has those two engine options.
      the CT6 is exclusively V6 only, though i think that one has a TT V6.
      the CT5 has a 2.0T, a 3.6 V6, and they might have a higher performance option but im not entirely sure.
      the smallest compact sedan the CT4, only comes with the turbo.

    For $55k it should've had Torch Red seat belts for a bit more. The price is currently too close to the CT5-V Series to justify settling for a 4 cyl 2.0

      I just bought this car with the 2.0. I was kicking myself because I was sceptical about the 2.0 and should have bought the V. But I want MPG over HP. The 2.0 did great on a trip, plenty of power with 34 MPG. I figured if I want to go fast I will drive my Vette.

    • @bruschmidt9943
      @bruschmidt9943 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jay0863 hey, I agree with your philosophy. I have the V-Series 3.0 & though they claim around 5 sec 0-60 mph, I don't get the impression the car is that quick. My 2013 Boss 302 Mustang seems unquestionably faster. I'm not out to hot rod the thing & that's only my impression after driving it for 9 months. I'd also say the quick shifting close ratio 10 spd Auto is the strong point in the acceleration times. It also has a very relaxed cruising RPM for highway driving, 1500 RPM at 60 mph. My highway mpgs have been higher than expected. One other thing to note is this is a 4,000 lb car. That's 500 lbs heavier than a 1989 Fleetwood "60 Special", their biggest car. Just looking at both, it's hard to fathom?

      @Chitwn81 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bruschmidt9943all the tech nannies you all and every other doodad these automakers keep adding to please the "go fast" crowd is undoubtedly what's adding weight. What happened to just luxury cars. That window sticker had like 4 or 5 option pkgs...all adding weight and price and expensive sensors to a car.

    the 2.0L in a sport sedan of this size and price is ridiculous. It's noisy at anything other than very low RPM, its not smooth or refined and at best has barely adequate power. I get some people will be fine with it and it gets good MPG but the vast majority of people interested in this car will hate it. What's most annoying is that this is the ONLY engine available in the highest trim level (sport) wtf?????? How hard would it be to make the 3.0 V6 available in the sport? You can get the V6 in the luxury premium trim but that's it. GM also has the 2.7L I4 in its engine stable. It's not terribly refined either but at least it's 325hp. Why not at least make that available? I suppose they want to keep their average fuel economy up and push more people into the CT5-V but to me that's too much $ for a daily driver and if I want a full on performance car I'm not buying a sedan. I don't care for the look of the luxury premium trim pkg and If the sport was available with a decent motor I'd buy it in a heartbeat but as of now Cadillac lost a sale due to idiotic decisions. I can just see the bean counters sitting around the board room saying 'let's build a sport sedan based on the really good alpha rear drive chassis but let's put a an anemic unrefined 4 cyl in it. People who love rear drive sport sedans love underpowered engines!!' My guess is people who are willing and able to pay $50-60K for a daily driver probably aren't concerned about 10-20% better MPG from a shitty motor vs a really nice motor.

      i think people forget that Cadillac is a class above,
      it's GM's premium luxury division that competes head on with BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, Tesla you name it.
      yes even them, people forget that Tesla is a premium brand.
      it's why they cost so much, they're just exclusively all electric, but it doesn't change what they are.

      You’ll get a solid 150k miles out of a Cadillac, after that. Be prepare to throw some $$ in for maintenance My grandpa owned a couple and decided to go with a Subaru ascent. Basically both started to crap out right at 130-150k mile mark. Both brand new when bought , kept up with regular scheduled maintenance and he was a very conservative driver. Tons of transmission issues it started to irritate him. His current legacy has a little over 230k miles and running strong!

      4 cylinder will have problems after bout 100k if you lease you don’t have any problems but in my opinion the CT5-V is a lil more bulletproof

    55k for a turd. Dealers add their rip off high “extras” making a big turd into a much bigger turd you can be upside down on as soon as you drive away. New Cadillacs are hippy trash.

      Is someone abusing you or something? Just got the V version and it’s extremely awesome. I guess some people have to hate something to justify themselves feeling good in their 2005 Mazda 3.
