Im slowly catching up on some of your content, John. So far, it has been consistent and real, which is refreshing. Wish i came along this a decade ago when the body was still young. Lol.

Id argue that youll need less drugs in the off-season with all the carbs and calories plus you have to balance the appetite suppression that the drugs can potentially have when you take too much. 🤷‍♂️

I have thought on this point and have done it both ways. After testing this out for season after season it is much easier to maintain muscle than it is to build a new level of tissue from what I have seen. Understood, yes the off-season environment is more conducive to grow. What many see are using what is needed to grow in the off-season and then more on prep, however they then are just over killing gear and still not growing in prep just making more systemic stress.

@@johnjewett7970 good point i see what youre saying. People push the gear more than needed when in a fatloss/ contest prep phase because they think they NEED more but they actually dont 👍

It’s amazing though that when a high level pro actually tries to do things healthier, like for instance Brandon Curry, they get totally shit upon.
But I guess it’s harder these days than back when social media wasn’t a thing.

Don't say about 3/4 in the topic about you need more gear to get to that certain size to push to a certain size. And then to maintain you obviously don't need that much gear. Or that many compounds even at that. And I try to stress this to younger guys so much. Because they will push to a certain point but then they'll slack off on their food or whatever it might be. But still continue to use the same amount of gear in the same amount of compounds. And a lot of it is the kitchen sink approach. And then they think I'm lying to them saying that I used 200 mg of test a week and then in the springtime I'll use like a six or eight week run of anavar during a deficit and I'll bump the test up to like 500. And that's pretty mild really. And I maintain 195 200 12 to 15% of body fat a year every year all throughout. and I did tell or I try to explain to these guys that house steroids work mechanism of actions food right we all get it. And they obviously don't believe me. But I'm transparent when I said and I'll show pictures when I was 235 240. Yes I used more get there. And I guess when you're active in it like that you're still using more but you are still capable of coming down in dosage and still maintain that size. everybody has this misconception of that guys walk around like they look in the magazines or on stage whatever all the time. And you have to explain to them that they're pushing stuff and they're pushing dosages at a degree because they want to come in full, vascular, hard to the max. so that's not what they run all year round. Now I mean don't get me wrong there's some guys that do obviously but we see what happens to them. And I'm not sitting here trying to put peds on a pedestal. Let's face it we're all abusing them to a one point or one degree or another. I always say there's no Safeway there's a safer way. But if you really think about it the younger guys you try to catch them. They don't believe you but at the same aspect when we were Young did we Believe it? just food for thought. I know it's frustrating and I'm sure you guys probably repeat yourself over and over and over again like a lot of those guys do. Cuz I'm 41 years old I'm 200 like I said I drop size cuz well bodybuilding wasn't my career and I'm realistic that is not healthy. But for whatever reason with all the knowledge out there from you guys from other channels just a vast abundance of knowledge. People are still hooked on the more is better and you got to run gear. At an astronomical dose. But these young kids like I was saying when we were young. It's like we had to go through these trials and tribulations in mistakes ourselves to make it click. It's like it didn't matter how much maybe our mentor told us of how things really work. Behind the scenes I would need you to say most of us like myself was like no I'm going to push it. And then I'll be damned they were right. It's all about the food intake. Because you see classic guys or even physique guys use same cyclesas the open guys. But then you find out that they're only eating three maybe four meals a day 30 g of protein 40 g of protein maybe. but they'll push these dosages because in my opinion they're reliant or using it as a crutch. And I'm not the smartest person I just try to look at things logically, common sense. We used to say in ranger battalion keep it short simple stupid. Or be 10% rule. 10% smarter than the equipment you're working with. You'll be successful in life. For example a hammer. If you know how to use that hammer it's a hammer and nails. Combining or budding up 2x4s or lumber and forming a structure. That's what I would have quite 10% rule and boom you're successful. a lot of people seem to overthink s*** or just think they know a little bit but then all of a sudden they can't be taught no more because they know it all. I've been in this dedicated I would say for about a good five years getting lost in the academic literature and everything else. and something I thought I knew from a year ago all of a sudden I'll read this new literature or come across something that you guys might say well that makes f****** perfect sense way more logical than what I was thinking. And safer and many and many times or occasions.
Anyway I know this was lengthy as f***. Maybe younger guys if you needed here to hope it helped or other guys it reiterated things put things in perspective. And also I just want to again thank you guys for what you do. It is appreciated. Whether people say it or not. I think what you're doing is with the education you know is helping people also saving lives. So much respect. I'm out... Rangers lead the way

I don’t know how it’s possible or why, but I’ve made better gains on near trt doses than I have taking it over 1.5g.
Seems like the higher my doses go, the less progress I make.

    • @thorstormlord

High doses= high systems stress+ inflammation= less gains since everything is trying to "survive" in a toxic environment.
