For a longer range (and Concealing Veil compatible, muahahaha~) alternative, Bolt of Gransax with Shard of Alexander, Godfrey Icon, lightning physik tear, and either Ritual Sword or Lightning Scorpion talismans (either works) basically lets you become a stealth sniper. Don't even need low-vigor hosts when you deal 1.3k damage at only +7.
apparently I got highlighted in the video during that but lol, It still works with ALOT of weapon arts that apply stuff like area of effect or damage over time ticking stuff, basically turns it into a giant bleed-box (the charging flame weapon art) or even on fire's deadly sin it might still work , they only fixed the death-curse afaik

I once invaded a guy in Leyndell, and the first guy I saw was a furled finger wizard named 9vigorCannon. I one-shot the his host and the other furled finger with Ice Spear, but 9vigorCannon had over 1300 hp, and my ice spear couldn't one shot him.
I'd say regarding incant builds. Pyromancers are legit, free-aiming giant's flame is very viable in PvP. And you can easily make it one shot, if you manage to achieve like 75 faith you can oneshot 60 vigor hosts with buffs. And bestial sling works fine or a pure faith build. FP is a problem though, you need like 30 mind which means you basically are stuck at 50 vigor, which kinda sucks.
@@MeneltirFalmaro I never liked relying on physicks but honestly that's a great build. Mine just has 53 vigor because I like 30 mind and 75 faith and cba with physics are seals.
Always remember when you get hit all those times but don't take damage, it's phantom hitting. Which means all status effects given by hitting you are still given but you do not take melee damage.
Kinda crazy how the greatsword is pretty much the undisputed best weapon in the game for the first time in the series. You can counter every other build by just ouspacing them with a poke. I think it’s going to get a lot worse when they inevitably make the poke parriable, but it will still be good regardless. Personally can’t wait for them to fix bleed, and hope if comes with other changes (like decreased weapon damage against players across the board). I don’t know if it will happen but I’m hopeful as this would fix a lot of the issues with PVP right now. Damage is just ridiculously high and nearly all ashes of war deal 1000+ damage by just buffing once and equipping Alexander’s shard. They also need to find a way to make the beast throw attack slower as it’s nearly unreactable when equipped in the right hand. Finally storm stomp is currently the best ash of war for PVP and I think it needs less poise towards the end of the attack. I think a player should be punished for not using the attack intelligently, because right now it’s kind of just an instant poise button that gives you a free R1, which means a lot in this game.
imo the poke needs to parryable. It comes out so fast and the recovery is insane and it does extremely good damage, also its not the only viable thing about the UGS like so many people are saying, people just gotta git gud

To be fair every ash of war in this game needs damage tweak, everything seems to be dealing shit ton of damage, so no point in trying to do r1 or running attacks(and since passive poise from previous games is back there is no reason to use small weapons like daggers, in my opinion its bad) idk, just spam ash of war -> you win
The main difference is that G-pebble and Giant Hunt are WAY easier to avoid due to having much longer and more predictable windups. If anything, they're mostly good for countering the meta katanas (the idiots who use them are stationary and predictable), not replacing them.
It's because RoB is extremely noob friendly but it also has a low skill ceiling and will lose every single time to someone who knows how to counter it. I have Pebble on an int spellblade and it never ever fails to oneshot someone in invasions. Easy 2k+ damage. It's extremely disgusting but you need to know when to use it. Otherwise it will be dodged every time. For RoB you just press L2 and it works really well in ganks. I rarely see it on solo hosts or 1v1 but it is part of nearly every gank. Lately I have found another hard counter to it which is Hoarah Loux's Earthshaker. The battlecry stuns them out of their windup and then they get twoshot.

If you're talking about the method of casting magma breath that completely removes the head animation, that's a glitch and generally looked down on by the community. Casting a standing catch flame then magma breath, however, just makes the wind up of the latter spell faster, and is intended.

I'm annoyed that i never change armor or weapons because i found the best stuff very early. i very rarely switch weapons. added maliketh's sword to the arsenal once i beat him obvioulsy but the sword of night and flame is getting boring. Tbh I feel bad for some of these people. I tried to be a mage for the first time ever in a from game, I'm level 130 with 28 vigour and less than ideal damage, because mind is a massive resource sink, and STR and DEX are required to use any decent weapons

You should try out One-Eyed Shield, its damage scales only with upgrade and buffs, so stats don't matter. It can cream players, especially in low RL

I use 2 big frost hammers that one shot anyone below 40 vigour, frostbite procks after 3 individual hammer hits and that does about 1800 damage.

I'm annoyed that i never change armor or weapons because i found the best stuff very early. i very rarely switch weapons. added maliketh's sword to the arsenal once i beat him obvioulsy but the sword of night and flame is getting boring. What exists that is better?
The sword he is using is literally just called "greatsword" and he put giant hunt AoW on it
Really wish they didnt spawn invaders 10 fucking feet from where you're at. Like all the maps are massive, I shouldnt be taking hits before the invasion banner is even gone

Tbh I feel bad for some of these people. I tried to be a mage for the first time ever in a from game, I'm level 130 with 28 vigour and less than ideal damage, because mind is a massive resource sink, and STR and DEX are required to use any decent weapons
