Armada - what a cool band from back in the day....they had such good lyrics. Not exactly like today ...they didn't "beat around the bush" they just came straight out and told you that you needed the Lord... very cool. Thanks for the great tunes and ministry.
Very cool. I remember hearing Armada on Sunday morning on WVVS (Valdosta State College radio). Years later I met Doug Oxford. Music very much worth finding.
Kent, Rex, and Kevin, great interview once again. Armada was a band that i had never heard of until today. I looked up some of their music on you tube and was very impressed. I did find "Frontline" on Girder Music's web site and I will get it very soon. Keep up the great work you guys are doing. Jerry Elder
Thanks for checking out the Armada episode, Jerry. We are grateful! "Frontline" is a great album, and if you can find it for a good price it is certainly worth the purchase! I had first encountered Armada from 1988's "Underground Metal" compilation album. I wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year, Jerry! -Kent
Great interview! Armada is one of those bands I heard on the Underground Metal Compilation and then I heard nothing else from them until Frontline was reissued a couple years ago. I’m so glad they did…hopefully, the other albums will get reissued since I’ve never heard them. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving, Ken! It's always good to hear from you! My Armada journey treks the same as yours: Underground Metal then Frontline. I certainly hope we see remasters/reissues of their other albums! -Kent
