Great to see this interview of Bruce...Been a mega fan from Adelaide, Australia since 1988. I'll never forget getting the Rebellion cassette and record in late 88. Amazing to think Bruce didn't play leads much at the point of Rebellion. One of my favourite leads ever is on Evil Lurks on Master's Command. Stunning! It's sad that SW and Vengeance didn't get released by Capitol Records as they were as good as any secular band. It's easy in retrospect but Frontline restricted many quality christian bands from getting known by many who needed to hear the message....Rebellion was my favourite too. I must have played it almost every day for over a year. I'm curious...I got a letter from Bruce in 92 and in it there was talk of new album being worked on called New World Order...wonder what even became of it? As i think Bruce said 5 songs were written. I'm suprised Bruce didn't mention Randy Rhoads as one of his influences as I can hear some of his style in early SW. I really hope a full new album is done with Rey and look foward to the new song Unstoppable Kingdom. I heard a demo of a new song back in 2018 on the SW Facebook page that was very good, but it could suit an instrumental track - such as the old songs like Onward Warriors, Warriors...
I was absolutely shocked when Bruce mentioned he wasn't a lead player at the time of recording Rebellion. I was like, "You could have fooled me!" He is THAT good! Very cool that you'd received a letter from Bruce in '92. I wish I had known that info about a forthcoming album called New World Order, else I would have asked him about it. I can certainly hear some Randy Rhoads influence in Bruce's playing: absolutely shredding while sounding smooth as silk. Thank you for watching and commenting, MournfulMystic. Wishing you The Lord's blessings! -Kent
Been a Sacred Warrior fan and love Bruce’s playing since 1988. Favourite album is Obsessions. What an amazing band and legacy of Sacred Warrior. Looking forward to new music from the guys! Thank you Area 312 for a great interview. Bless you guys.
We are certainly privileged for the opportunity to glean and present these interviews of these terrific artists. We genuinely thank you for watching and commenting, Lowend_Chug! Bruce is absolutely an amazing guitarist, and Obsessions shreds! "Kamikaze" is my favorite jam from that album. Blessings! -Kent
@@AREA312RockMetalVodcastI would LOVE to hear a Remastered version of Obsessions! Please encourage Bruce to get those original tracks and remaster them for release. Thanks again!!

Rex and Kent, great interview once again. I've been a fan of sacred Warrior ever since "Rebellion" was released. I've always enjoyed Bruce Swift's guitar playing. Hopefully, Sacred Waarrior will come here to Pa to do a show. Rex and Kent, keep up the great work. Jerry Elder
Thanks for watching and commenting, Jerry; we are always grateful! Bruce's playing is so neat in that the heaviness and shredding - as found on the SW albums - have such a warm tone that I often forget how heavy the material is. Blessings in The Lord, brother! -Kent
Sacred Warrior is my all time favorite metal band! Absolutely love these guys and I'm so very grateful for the huge impact they've made in my life for almost 40 years now! "Whoaaa! Oh! The Heaven's Are Calling!!!" 🎤
Thanks for watching and commenting, Brian! Sacred Warrior is certainly a wonderful and inspirational band in music and Message! Indeed, they are awesome! Blessings! -Kent
When Master’s Command came out I bought the cd on a hunch. I popped it in my car cd player and was blown away. It was a game changer for me. This was next level and put Christian Metal on par with other secular bands. From there, I went and bought Rebellion and was floored. Their albums all became automatic purchases for me. Hands down, Bruce is a fantastic guitar player and it was nice to hear him give his thoughts on SW and his spiritual beliefs. Very interesting interview guys….thanks!
Always nice to hear from you, Ken. Same as with you: Upon my first discovering Sacred Warrior, every forthcoming album was an automatic purchase for me. Thank you for watching and for commenting; we are grateful! Blessings! -Kent
Very Cool Interview Guys !!! ....I Really Love Sacred Warrior thier heart for the Lord Jesus Is TRULY Amazing ...Also it's Funny & Interesting I think I have That Early GIG Excellent SoundBoard Audio (fullshow)That Bruce Was Talking about were they opened for Whitecross and Ceasar K First saw them And Signed them to Intense Records , I think it was in Santa Cruz CA 1986? Most likely 1987?. ....They Played C'mon Rock Stryper Cover Song & Barren Cross - Dying Day Cover Song At That Gig !!!(Amazing piece of WhiteMetal History)............ I was very fortunate to see them live around 1989? in a little church somewhere in Orange County, CA .....IT WAS TRULY AMAZING! ........Even More AMAZING Was RANSOM opened for that show!!!!!!!!!
You have witnessed a lot of cool Christian metal history there, Jetway7777! Ransom opening for Sacred Warrior would have been a great show to see. Thank you for sharing from your journey; we are grateful! Blessings in The Lord! -Kent
I really appreciate all of y'alls interviews. It would be cool if you could also incorporate questions about how or if the band members are active in their local churches
Thank you for watching and commenting, Chris; we are grateful! We will try to remember to ask about local church involvement (keep in mind, our interviews are recorded a fair amount of time prior to their release). Sometimes, we simply ask what our guests are up to today, and they will mention that they "do this or that" in their church, so sometimes the question is automatically answered. Thanks again for watching! Blessings! -Kent
