FWIW, Odin's death was anything but sudden - it's been hinted at since the first Thor film. His physical weakness was especially noticeable in Thor 2 - The Dark World*. And as explained by Odin, his life was all that kept her entrapped in Hel. *Though Thor 2 is often overlooked, it is one of those pivotable films in the MCU that keeps coming back over the course of the Infinity Saga, and it should not be casually dismissed.
That little thing is not a taser, it's an obedience disk from Marvel comics......it can control characters more powerful than Thor because it's not electronic, it's magical.....its just blue so we assumed thats electric
Ngl I think they missed a trick by picking blue sparks instead of basically any other colour would just be less confusing see so many people think it's electronic and I can't blame them for assuming
@@Jacoc323 I think red would've been a good choice. It probably would get seen to be related to some neural inhibiter or something with a non-blue colour scheme
@@sathyanarayanay.h.9630 Blue is also for the Tesseract (and you know the corresponding stone), which is teleportation; it is also for Thor's lightning (as well as white), so it's still confusing. Wanda has mental manipulation from her Chaos Magic and it was red, so it could've easily been red
I don’t know the comics, so cool little factoid. But, I prefer my explanation, which is the fact that Thor didn’t know that his power always emanated from him. The hammer was simply a conduit. All to say that he didn’t resist getting tazed, because he had no idea of powerful he really is.
I agree that Odins death might've been alot more fast paced but Hela's appearance was explained. Odin said him being alive was the only thing holding her at bay. While he was alive, his power was keeping her locked away wherever she was and him dying meant he couldn't hold her back anymore which is why she literally appeared 2 seconds later.
Surtur needed to use the power of the eternal flame to destroy Asgard. Without it, he was not as strong, but Thor, being proactive decided to remove the crown. Without the crown, Surtur was disabled. Loki united Surtur's crown with the eternal flame, which was on Asgard. Odin said that Hela draws her power from Asgard. I think Odin tied her power to Asgard for that very reason. No Asgard, no power.
I can’t believe even at this point they are doubting Loki😂 and about the post credit scene they didn’t stop the ship, the ship was block by the other space ship (probably Thanos)
Hela, The Goddess of Death is what you get if Galadriel took the One Ring, the Ring of Power, from Frodo. The color and geometric schemes on Sakaar are based on Jack Kirby designs. Agree that Jeff Goldblum was great in this role. Taika is a great director and a very funny guy and actor.
I think the issue more is Odin's death was too sudden and I think it would of been better if they went into more depth of her being banished. Obviously not too much cause it wouldn't be Odin like to just be completely honest and if they had shown like a flashback her first entrance wouldn't hit a spot hard. I personally don't have much of an issue with it but I think I get where Kyle wasn't coming from its kind of like Odin was literally holding off death just to have that small convo about something massive then just casually turns to angel dust or whatever😂
Yes 👍🏻. Super funny, super colourful, super sound, super fights. Crazy places, dialogue and characters; everything a film like this needs. - My top 5 list: 1. Iron Man I 2. Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Civil War 4. *Thor:Ragnarok* 5. Infinity War + Endgame
Gotta pick one out of Infinity War and Endgame that's cheating😂Also respectable list either way I'd have a few movies over Iron Man but I get it start of the MCU blah blah blah
@@Jacoc323 Then you won't like my 'cheating' either, that all the other 14 films from phase 1 to 3 are in 6th place with me 😄. Except The Incredible Hulk and Thor:The Dark World. Those two are the only ones I personally didn't like at all. I will not make a list from 1 to 23 😉 The fact that the first Iron Man is at the top of *my list* has a lot to do with actor Robert Downy Jr.. That was a 'phoenix from the ashes' moment for me.
@@Jacoc323 Sorry for triggering you with that. 😂👍🏻 We can call the movie-tier list-police so they can sort it out. - I am a consumer and consume a medium that serves my entertainment. I'm not a paid film critic who studied film studies. Better than the previous? Come on, the first Thor was fantastic! But, there are levels to this shit. A film directed by Taika Watiti can’t lose. He also played Korg, the rock dude who befriends Thor. Loved your reaction to Hela’s power, regarding the hammer...That’ll definitely end up in some reaction compilation 😸 My only criticism, & in editing, you can’t please everyone....But, cutting out Loki’s reaction to Thor getting “Loki’d” by Hulk, gutted me...possibly the best take in the film. I also commend the studio for allowing Chris to try humor. Chris is actually quite funny. He shined in the female Ghostbusters reboot, which was a disaster. Adding humor to his character gave him so much more dimension. Lastly, the leader of the garbage planet (forgot his name: Jeff Goldblum) is also brothers with Tivan, the Collector (end clip of Thor 2 & Guardians) 😉 Stay safe, guys 🖤🌹🖤🧛🏻♀️
In the previous Thor movie (Thor: The dark world) one of Thor's friends said, "Perhaps next time we should start from the big one"! That's what they did in the next movie. They started with the big one. Surtur!😂😂
This is still my absolute favorite MCU movie! Tho I may be, ever so slightly biased here……considering that Thor has/is/will always be my favorite! Especially the Thor from this movie going forward, and even tho they did my dude so freaking dirty and not just once…but now twice ffs! Endgame and to a slightly less degree in Love and Thunder! I think that when talking about Endgame they probably believed that they kinda dug their own grave &/or wrote themselves into a corner with Thor in Infinity War Cause they made Thor extremely powerful by the end of the movie (which I absolutely loved btw😉👍 cause he is a bit nerfed in the MCU imo and so the thought of Thor was too OP in Infinity War is kinda ridiculous really. But no he’s not, it’s more like he’s finally given the real/accurate power level ffs!😅 But by making it clear that even with all the stones…the only reason Thanos is only alive because he didnt “ go for the head “ So as insane and kinda ridiculous as it sounds…in the end, what it all came down to, the fate of half the universe was decided by Thors bad aim which is testament to his power level. So they had to nerf him a bit otherwise the tension would be almost nonexistent when you make a character who can pretty much on their own, in a comic book team movie kinda lowers the stakes and justify the rest of the teams existence and usefulness within it. So they turned him into a obese alcoholic who’s lost his family and friends and he’s so depressed and broken with guilt over failing to kill Thanos and so he’s extremely nerfed and the butt of some silly jokes that imo felt like typical fat jokes oss🤦♀️🤷♀️😉👍😅

It's Thanos skyship
@@SomParRaaz No spoilers...🙄
In the play in the beginning of the movie, Loki was played by Matt Damon and Thor was played by Chris Hemsworth's brother Luke.

21:52 Taika Waititi is voicing Korg. He's the director of Ragnarok & the next Thor movie: Love & Thunder.

I think Frigg's death was the real reason for his death. In the first Thor movie, he was weak because he hadn't had his Odin sleep in so long.
